It is easy to discern a business owner who just in it for the money and one that truly loves what he does. Joe is the latter. The ingredients he chooses in the preparation shines through. There are a lot of pizza options, but you can taste grandma in his food. When you speak to him, you also can feel his passion for preparing a high quality product. He is clear there is competition and prides himself on his homemade, straight from scratch sauce. I find the pizza good, but don't sleep on the meals. At one point I was getting the hot sandwiches and then I switched to the pasta dishes. I never looked back. Even though we're in a tough economy. Joe keeps his price his reasonable and hasn't moved them much for a few years. Not sure how he does it, but that's one of the reasons I keep coming back. He offers variety of pizza toppings. I am old enough to remember growing up where you only had two choices. Either you got cheese pizza or you got pepperoni. If you was at a real fancy place you might even see a sausage pizza. Now the toppings are endless. Besides that of course you can get calzones, chicken and also sausage rolls. I really like his garlic knots. Purchased a chicken roll. It was tasteless, dry and rubbery. Did not taste fresh. The chicken tasted like they reheated it in a microwave. The dough was not crisp and not fully cooked. The sauce was watery and not much flavor. Tasted like cheap canned commercial sauce. The lady at the counter was less than friendly. Garlic & oil with spinach. I have had better, but it wasn't bad. Maybe it was the parmesan cheese I put on it, but something had an almost bad taste to it. Hand's down my favorite pizza place in Hempstead. I don't live in Hempstead and find this to be a good pizza place although it's hard to compare where I am used to, Brooklyn! The pizza can take a while for delivery but when picking up, its on time! I don't mind the wait for delivery either because its always a pleasure to look forward to the delivery guy. We were recommended by good friends of ours to check this place out and i am so glad they shared this place with us. My husband has become a chicken bacon ranch pizza snob and he was very happy as was I! Loads of crispy chicken cutlets. The dough was solid. I personally wouldve liked more ranch dressing but hubby was content so thats what matters. The sweet chili wings. My favorite! Crispy. Perfect amount of sauce. The meat falls off the bone. I came here quickly before a dr appointment in Garden City. Not from the area so I had to call first to see which pizza restaurants have the oh so delicious beef patties with mozzarella cheese. 1st place I called had no idea what I was talking about. Then Pizzatini answered and I quickly drove over to get it ! So glad I did because it definitely was delicious. I also got a plain slice to go with it and that was pretty good too. I didn't stay but the inside of the shop has a seating area, not too big though so not recommended for huge groups. Pizzatini is by far the best pizza I've had in Long Island. They usually take a long time to deliver bc they're always busy.

The pizza never disappoints. The chicken ranch or buffalo slices are really good. The place is a bit small if you're planning on eating there. I usually order for pick up and my pizza is always fresh great local spot. They also have a couple dessert options like cannolis and zeppoles! Love all their pizzas, zeppolis, pastas, sausage & pepper rolls, chicken dishes....you name it! If I want a delivery, it is always on time and sometimes even faster than the time they tell me.
