I have about 250 fixed and or pocket folder and took a few in to get sharpened. My guy exceeded all my expectations. He used the BESS sharpening Test to show me the finish works.

Came in for their knife sharpening service and the whole process was quick and easy. It only took a few days to be done. I initially called to inquire and the guy (I didn't get the name of the employee) was very accommodating. I believe he's the same guy that's always behind the counter. He was friendly and nice the two times we came in. This place offers different knives and flashlights; extensive variety to choose from. They also have a resident cat, ED, she's super cute and very friendly you can pet her while you're waiting or just because.

Figured I'd take a nice drive out to see the selection of Medford and other customs. After a 2 hour drive, and 30 bucks in gas they were closed. I arrived within the listed business hours window, but nobody was there. I tried calling, but only received voicemail.

Awesome! I was pleasantly surprised at finding this store in Rancho Cordova. They have an amazing offering of great knives. I have purchased two of their knives and couldn't be happier. Rob and Greg were a great help and source of information with their fantastic no pressure customer service. Initially I found what I was looking for, that nobody else was carrying and I bought it. After looking over their selection of Medford knives and doing some research, I returned the next day and picked up a beautiful Medford knife. The quality is second to none, rock solid and IMO a great value. I feel very lucky to have picked up such a great find. Thank you EDC. I will definitely be a lifelong customer and look forward to a new friendship!

Living in the Sacramento area I was surprised to find a store that sold Medford Knives. I've never handled one in person and so I was curious about the stores inventory and had some questions. I called and spoke to Rob who went above and beyond in assisting me with my questions and even sent me some photos and a video of a few knives I was inquiring about. The wife and I stopped in here the following day and was met with even better customer service from Rob in person. He walked me through some of the intricacies of some of the different models and let me handle as many as I wanted. I definitely recommend stopping by if you're into EDC tools and knives. Medford is probably the most solid folding knives I have handled thus far and I have had my share of high quality custom knives. Ask for Rob!

First time in the store today. The owner and employee were very helpful and walked us around the whole store and showed us everything. Helped us find the right knives for my girlfriend and I to fit our needs. Would highly recommend to anyone and will be returning for future business

The problem is the firearms counter. I have purchased a few guns there over the past 13 years, and the experience has universally been horrible. The basic tone is this: The staff's demeanor is as if they are doing you a favor by selling you something. They are quite deliberately aloof, indifferent, and they slow-walk everything they do. This occurs whether they are busy or not. Either way, it will be an agonizingly slow experience if you want help or want to purchase a firearm. They randomly chose to use or ignore their "take a number" system, and when you go in there's never any way to tell whether you should take a number or not. You can stand at the counter, waiting for help for an hour at times. Often they won't acknowledge your presence or even make eye contact. It feels as if you are offending them by even being there, and they want nothing more than for you to just go away. If you actually wish to purchase a firearm, I would recommend budgeting at least two hours in the store. Or better yet, go to another store that has some level of competent management and values their customers. That's what I'm going to do. The clearest way I can explain it? The firearms counter at Sportsman's Warehouse is exactly like trying to get help from a big city branch of the California DMV. That sums it up perfectly.

I've brought many friends, family and coworkers there as well to give 5.11 business. But let me tell you! I don't know what happened to this store and how they pick their staff now, but they are absolute trash. Ever since the old store manager left this store has hired the worst people and the store always looks like crap. The old manager had this location looking good, fully stocked and her team was on point and very professional. They lost the true face of 5.11 on that one. I recently went to this 5.11 location on Friday March 28th with my family to see if things changed and I was reminded for the final time why I will NEVER return again. The guy in the front said something when we walked in and never said another peep or offered to assist with anything at all the whole time we were there. That's not even what bothered me. What made me absolutely livid was when the female worker blew my father off mid-sentence when he was asking her a question about their sale and said "It just depends" with a snarky attitude and TURNED HER BACK ON HIM AND WALKED TO THE BACK OF THE STORE. I almost lit her up. I'm done with 5.11 once and for all and I know deep down many others are as well. Shame on this company for allowing such people to work there and for allowing such an environment.

Aside from the good customer service & cool indoor range, they had an incredibly wide variety of stock for sale. I noticed they had VERY fair prices, like some firearms were easily $100-125 less a piece than the FUDD gun shops here in (510) Alameda County. I would say the top highlight of this gun shop was the lack of FUDD. I experienced & saw / heard zero FUDD nonsense. Just straight up good, solid, friendly customer service & plenty of great products to choose from. It's also noteworthy that they had a really good inventory of ammo for reasonable pricing. Buyer Beware (0 stars if possible)…read more I had a very negative experience with Davis Gun Worx and would strongly caution others before doing business here. On January 29, I called about having Magpul furniture installed on my Maverick 88 shotgun. I was told it would be a simple job and take less than an hour. I dropped the firearm off in person on January 30. At that time, I was told he had just returned from SHOT Show and was busy, but to give him two days and call back. After two days, I began calling and could not get a response. I attempted to contact him repeatedly on February 3, 4, 5, 9, 10, and 11. I was only able to reach him once, and during that call he told me it would be another two days because he was still busy. I never received a return call, and all follow-up communication had to be initiated by me. I even went to the business location during posted business hours. The "open" sign was on, but no one answered the door. At that point (Feb 12th), my firearm had been in his possession far longer than the quoted timeframe with no communication, so I contacted the Sacramento County Sheriff's Department. When deputies called him, he answered immediately. However, when I called him right afterward, he became hostile and aggressive, demanding I pick up the firearm immediately because he no longer wanted it on his property. He also told the deputy that I had dropped the firearm off only a week prior and that he had informed me he needed to order parts. That is not accurate. I was told twice it would take two days, and I was never informed that parts needed to be ordered. Because of his hostility on the phone, I requested deputies be present when retrieving my firearm. When it was returned (Feb 13th), the barrel, the bag I brought it in, and the flashlight I intended to have installed were not returned with it. I will now have to go through small claims court to hopefully retrieve my property. Between the lack of communication, the extended possession of my property, the lies told to law enforcement, and the missing items, this was an extremely unprofessional and concerning experience. I would strongly advise others to proceed with caution. Communication and professionalism are essential in this industry, and that is not the experience I had AT ALL.
