All security schools are pretty much the same, but what had made him MY go-to security school for requals was that you just had to meet up with him, slip him the cash, and he would sign you off. No shooting required. Cool! Was big money (ammo is expensive) and time saver for me and a satisfying way to say, "Fuck You!" to government money grab requirements.

I tool took my 1st CCW class a little over a year ago from a competitor for over double the price & I walked away with less than half of what James (Eagle Defense) taught. I took the recertification class from Eagle Defense last month for $30 (other want over $100). Then I did a mod certification for my new Sig last weekend for $10. These guys are basically giving knowledge & time away for free. If you are on the fence because of the low price, don't hesitate. These guys are very knowledgeable & well worth triple what they charge. Hurry & run to their next class before the price goes up.

After (3) emails and phone messages, I was finally contacted back and told that the instructor (female) would see what she could do to help me to find a class which was in proximity to my location. She never did..... I was just left with nothing. No follow up no email no phone call. It was terribly disappointing and definitely put a bad taste in my mouth about pursuing certification. After you're truly hyped up about being part of a class of females to feel more comfortable and at ease my enthusiasm was soon diminished by the lack of professionalism in following up. I understand that we all have other responsibilities in our lives and things happen and come up. However if you're going to be in business I feel that there should be a certain amount of accountability that you owe to the public. Otherwise you shouldn't publish misleading information giving the impression that you're going to follow up. Because after a reasonable amount of time after I've reached out number times the end result was that you dropped the ball again and failed me.

He was very thorough with assessing our skills and giving each of us feedback at the beginning of the class. We moved into several static target shooting drills. We then worked on scenarios, where Ron set up several "rooms" where we made entrance and cleared the room before finding the paper target "perpetrators" who were holding a paper target "hostage". We finished off the class by working some speed drills using steel targets at several distances while being timed. The class was exactly as advertised...skills, drills and scenarios. Ron was very thorough in his safety briefing at the beginning of the course, as well as explaining his credentials. Interlaced throughout the various drills was a lot of very helpful tips for each of us on how we could improve our skills and tactics. He was very patient in working with all of us, but me in particular as I was the least skilled out of our group. I never felt belittled or discouraged. You could tell his only intention was to help grow each person in their skill level. We are all looking forward to taking more classes in the future and couldn't recommend Liberty Firearms Training more highly!

From the moment I walked in, the staff made me feel welcome and valued. The instructors were not only highly experienced professionals--many with military and law enforcement backgrounds--but also excellent "Military Instructors" who knew how to communicate complex information in a way that was easy to understand and apply in real-world scenarios. Food for thought, if you're a civilian, don't take it personally if they go hard on you, especially on Day 1 (the shocker and expectations), they are not being rude to you. It is just the military way, similar to Basic Military Style, where you're broken down and built back up each day as you learn about Security & Firearms. The curriculum was thorough and well-structured. It covered everything from basic firearm safety and marksmanship to situational awareness, legal use-of-force principles, and de-escalation techniques. What stood out most was the emphasis on responsibility and professionalism. This wasn't just about getting certified; it was about preparing to be a reliable, ethical, and capable security professional if you plan to be an armed or unarmed security professional. The hands-on firearms training was especially impressive. The instructors (Gunny & JB) ensured every student received personalized guidance on the range at Placer Sporting Club, and their attention to safety protocols was top-notch both in class to prep every single student and on the range. What the heck is going on with this place…read more.. I came here looking to buy a safe. Sat in an odd-smelling room for almost 15 minutes before somebody came to help us. I was certain that I had come to the wrong place by mistake. I kept on repeating "he knew I said I was looking for a safe, not a boat stereo, right?" The first thing the young guy asked us is if we wanted to spend a lot of money on a safe, making it clear that if we weren't, he wasn't going to spend any time on us. I think that the same company that makes the safes here also installs boat accessories, because their manufacturing area is full of boats and quads. They showed us a few safes that they were currently building, and I was really impressed. Very high quality, fine finish, and cool features you probably can't find off the shelf. Unfortunately they weren't able to give me pricing or availability information, and couldn't tell me when I could get this important information, or from who. It's a little difficult to hand over a check for a few thousand dollars to a 20-something year old and expect something in return months later... I left here feeling like they didn't take me seriously. If only they knew that I spent thousands on a safe later that day.

Both Bobby and Bobby Jr offer top notch customer service, offering vast knowledge on both weapon systems as well as our ever complicated CA gun laws. I, myself, as I'm sure many of you have been to the bass pro shops and the sportsman's warehouses as well as many of the private FFLs in and around our area. I'm met with less than enthusiastic staff and lack luster inventory. Not at Woodland Firearms. My wife and I make our way into the store, immediately being greeted by both Bobby and Bobby Jr. They both ask if there is anything specific we're looking for and I reply that we are just browsing for now, to which they happily reply "please take your time and if you have any questions do ask!". No pushy sales pitch and no trying to hock the latest greatest product that going to take my aim to level 9000. They gave us both our breathing room and allowed us to comfortably peruse the store's well stocked inventory. Leading me to my next point, the inventory. I'm sure my fellow Californians have found themselves in search of a particular weapon and just can't seem to get lucky enough to find one in stock anywhere. For me it's been the Smith and Wesson M&P shield 2.0 9mm as well as any AR10. Especially the AR10. To my disbelief I quickly notice an AR10 sitting in the showcase. I ask to see it and Bobby Jr wastes no time showing it to me. He gives me a quick breakdown of the weapon and hands it over. I mention how I've been on the lookout for one of these rifles and am astounded it's here. Jokingly I ask "what else have you guys got hiding around here?". Bobby Jr. turns and says "we just got some new shield 2.0 9mm in stock this morning". I couldn't believe it. Long story short, I pick them both up in ten days... There was also many notable mentions in stock of various caliber and platform. They even had the new Caniks in stock and they look very slick! Get ready for the cherry on top boys and girls because the prices here are same if not even better than the big name stores and that's verified. Yolo county 2nd amendment enthusiasts are truly spoiled here. GREAT EXPERIENCE!!! Thank you again gentleman, I can't say it enough.
