Sam is very knowledgeable about all the CCW things, but if he doesn't know, he will find and answer. The range was clean and the targets were all synced up to the technology things, so I will be coming back for more practice. I have also done a transfer here. The process was smooth. I had to renew my firearm safety certificate while I was there. Stanley helped us with the transfer and it was easy to get through the paperwork. Next, the gunsmith. I have been having issues with one of my pistols, so I brought it in. We figured it just needed to be lubricated, but Donny did a full inspection to make sure there weren't any issues and it shoots great now. Lastly, I purchased the Sig Rose P365 while I was taking the course. I was able to shoot it during the training and picked it up after the 10 day period. They had a great selection, but it wasn't hard for me to make a decision. It was also $50 cheaper than the first time I looked at it. Overall, I love the gun range. Everyone is very nice and knowledgeable. This is my new go to indoor range.

Without question, this has been the most informative, well-structured, and comprehensive CCW class I have attended to date. Theo is an exceptionally knowledgeable, patient, and dedicated instructor. He takes the time to explain every aspect of the course in detail and, more importantly, incorporates real-world scenarios that encourage everyone in the class to participate and think critically. Rather than simply providing an answer, Theo allows the class to work through scenarios together before explaining the correct response and the reasoning behind it. That approach made the material much more engaging and meaningful. The range portion of the course was equally impressive. We were taught not only the standards required for a CCW qualification, but also given insight into what a real-world defensive situation might actually look like. Safety was clearly the highest priority throughout the entire range session. I felt completely confident having Theo actively present and attentive while shooters were live-firing. He was constantly observing, immediately identifying potential mistakes, and stepping in when necessary to prevent unsafe actions. What stood out to me most was his hands-on approach. At many other facilities, instructors tend to coach from a distance. Theo was right beside the shooter, providing immediate feedback--not only pointing out areas that needed improvement, but also recognizing and reinforcing what we were doing correctly. That level of personal instruction made a significant difference in the quality of the training and in my confidence as a student. After 10 years of CCW experience and training with multiple instructors, I can honestly say that I have found my new go-to instructor. I took Spartan Defense's "defensive/tactical handgun" class this weekend. It was the first class…read moreI've taken with Spartan, and I enjoyed it so much I decided to share my experience here. I found both of the instructors to be very engaging and approachable. They presented the curriculum in a very accessible way, and were also very receptive to feedback and alternative methods presented by the students. The instructors also provided relevant anecdotal examples from their military and law enforcement backgrounds to give additional context to the real world applications of the drills they were putting us through. Class enrollment was capped at 12 students max, ensuring a teacher to student ratio that allowed everyone in the class to receive plenty of direct one on one instruction. We started with relatively simple drills that gradually ramped up in challenge throughout the day, culminating in scenarios where we would move, shoot, reload, and engage multiple targets, all while being timed. The course incorporated the use of a shot timer throughout, which added both a stress element as well as a trackable performance metric. Our times were recorded throughout the day, and then compared at the end of the class against the baseline times we had established during drills at the beginning of class. Pretty much everyone made solid improvement on their times by the end of the day. The only negative point I could make about the class was that the lunch break ran a bit long, so we ran out of time towards the end of the day and had to skip over a couple points the instructors had planned to cover. The instructors said that going forward they'd set a timer to prevent the break from running longer than intended. But we covered so much other worthwhile material that I didn't feel this was worth deducting a star off the review. I absolutely got my money's worth from the class, at a price point at or below most other comparable classes being offered here in the greater Bay Area. I'm already checking their class schedule to see what other upcoming classes I might be interested in.

These guys are basically giving knowledge & time away for free. If you are on the fence because of the low price, don't hesitate.
