After (3) emails and phone messages, I was finally contacted back and told that the instructor (female) would see what she could do to help me to find a class which was in proximity to my location. She never did..... I was just left with nothing. No follow up no email no phone call. It was terribly disappointing and definitely put a bad taste in my mouth about pursuing certification. After you're truly hyped up about being part of a class of females to feel more comfortable and at ease my enthusiasm was soon diminished by the lack of professionalism in following up. I understand that we all have other responsibilities in our lives and things happen and come up. However if you're going to be in business I feel that there should be a certain amount of accountability that you owe to the public. Otherwise you shouldn't publish misleading information giving the impression that you're going to follow up. Because after a reasonable amount of time after I've reached out number times the end result was that you dropped the ball again and failed me.

He was very thorough with assessing our skills and giving each of us feedback at the beginning of the class. We moved into several static target shooting drills. We then worked on scenarios, where Ron set up several "rooms" where we made entrance and cleared the room before finding the paper target "perpetrators" who were holding a paper target "hostage". We finished off the class by working some speed drills using steel targets at several distances while being timed. The class was exactly as advertised...skills, drills and scenarios. Ron was very thorough in his safety briefing at the beginning of the course, as well as explaining his credentials. Interlaced throughout the various drills was a lot of very helpful tips for each of us on how we could improve our skills and tactics. He was very patient in working with all of us, but me in particular as I was the least skilled out of our group. I never felt belittled or discouraged. You could tell his only intention was to help grow each person in their skill level. We are all looking forward to taking more classes in the future and couldn't recommend Liberty Firearms Training more highly!

I finally decided it was time to stop being nervous and actually go to the range. After reading the reviews, I decided to check this place out, and I'm really glad I did. From the moment I walked in, the staff was friendly, welcoming, and very helpful. I told them it was my first time at the range, and they took the time to explain everything, answer my questions, and help me get set up. That made a huge difference because walking into a range as a newbie can feel a little intimidating. Once I got to my lane, I was only there for about 30 minutes, but I enjoyed every minute of it. My confidence definitely grew, and I left feeling way more comfortable than when I walked in. Overall, great first experience. Friendly staff, helpful guidance, and a welcoming environment for beginners. I'm looking forward to coming back for more practice -- and this time, I promise I won't wait another two years.

If you know, you know. Was directed to Ferdy for some assistance with a transaction. Not only was Ferdy great to work with on this but to me he went above and beyond by helping out my friend with his FSC. Excellent service and value, period. We were actually discussing some of the other shops around the area that went out of business. Most likely for poor customer service. Thanks again Ferdy!

From the second visit, they had me return with documents proving my residency, which was then followed by me being notified about a single paperwork error on their end where the store manager blamed me for his subordinate categorizing my occupational firearm permit as that of a cop's and then also by law, I was also disqualified from purchasing a firearm with that alone. Good thing I got my FSC on the spot, qualifying me, but was then called in for a third visit to redo my paperwork all over again. On this visit, the seller and I was baffled by the rude remarks towards me by the young 5'9 Caucasian kid with tight pants who calls himself Carter, while shadowed by a friendlier black female trainee behind the counter while reprocessing everything, making it uncomfortable for everyone and it seemed for his own personal amusement. We were both astonished l was being mistreated even after the mistakes they made. With every question Carter asked me, he would talk to me as if I was a dumb kid and had a some immediate backlash for every remark whether it was a joke or comment for him to hear and not. That guy was just weird and is the reason I don't recommend doing business there for any reason again. Kid even had the nerve to hand me an hour's worth coin to shoot. He and some of the staff like him create a very toxic environment and it showed in how uncomfortable and embarrassed he made the tall blonde female feel while he had her revise my information. I'm due to be there in 10 days for a pickup and will try to get in touch with the owner in person because the amount of discomfort and unwelcomeness Carter presented from day one and two was unprovoked and unnecessary. Even while the young Filipino lady was handling everything on the first day, Carter just leaned over the corner counter staring me down with a cold stare, all while not saying a word to me and only acknowledged my seller with praise and a smile as he was aswering his questions. I do not recommend a smooth visit here at all as long he's behind the counter.

Then I met Instructor Willis. Let me put it this way: if confidence, competence, and firearm knowledge were a controlled substance, Willis would require a prescription. The man knows his stuff. Every question the class threw at him was answered with the kind of experience and expertise that makes you sit up a little straighter in your chair. Whether it was firearms safety, security procedures, legal considerations, or practical advice from the field, he delivered information with precision and clarity. What really set the class apart was his sense of humor. Somehow Willis managed to keep an entire room engaged for hours. One minute you're learning critical safety concepts, the next minute you're laughing hard enough to forget you're in a training course. By the end of the class, I walked away with new skills, greater confidence, and a growing suspicion that Willis could probably teach tax law, forklift certification, or underwater basket weaving and still have the room completely captivated. Sacramento Security Training Center runs a fantastic program, and Willis is an absolute asset. Professional, knowledgeable, hilarious, and dangerously charismatic. Five stars. I'd take another class from Willis faster than a Glock disappears from the rental counter on range day.

If you want to work in security, armed or unarmed, you need to be able to stay attentive, professional, and mentally engaged throughout training. Ian was an excellent instructor and showed strong leadership throughout the course. Looking back on my previous security experience, this class really helped me better understand what good security professionalism looks like. The other instructor was also extremely respectful and helpful. I also want to mention the security staff on site. Everyone I spoke with was friendly and professional, especially one of the security guards, "Saavedra Sia" sorry if I misspelled the name. I appreciated talking with him and learning a little more about the industry. For anyone attending: show up on time. I drove about 35 minutes and still got stuck in traffic, so plan ahead. I also enjoyed meeting a few of our classmates. Overall, I enjoyed the course and appreciate everything the instructors and staff did for us. Thank you again Ian!

The range parking is when you first enter the lot, as seen in the photo. There is parking along the side and towards the front of the building as well. The front is being remodeled and should be open in a couple weeks and will be the gun store. Upon arrival, we were so very warmly greeted by all the folks inside. We signed our waivers and were shown all the packages they have available since we would be renting from them. We went with the first package. We did upgrade to a .45 instead of included 9mm. My son was drawn to 1911 so that's what we rented. The package was a great deal for us first timers, since everything we needed was included. From safety gear to targets. Once we were inside, the RSO, who happened to be the owner, Parker, was so awesome. He took his time and walked us through everything and ensured we were comfortable. About halfway through, we switch to the Glock 45 which was also a fun experience.g Going with the .45s was definitely a good choice. We both enjoyed shooting with them, the 1911 was a clear favorite for us both. I recommend this range for all who have wanted to try this out. The folks here are the main reason our experience was so memorable and left us talking about the next time we will come back.
