Josh came out to spray for roaches in a couple of our units. When he inspected the units, he said they were in such a condition where his treatments wouldn't be effective. So he recommended going with a another company that used a specific kind treatment that Ecotech doesn't offer. He didn't even charge us for the visit! We were very impressed with his honesty and integrity! (A lesser company would've treated and charged us, despite knowing that the treatment wouldn't be effective.) Highly recommended! They return calls promptly and take care of problems. I called them in January because of an ant problem and after a couple of treatments (included in the fee) the ants were gone. They started reappearing during the fires and Ecotech did three treatments this time. They use pet friendly products and we had no issues with our dogs after treatments. read more

Couldn't recommend highly enough! Even though Ecotech usually doesn't service the Coast, Jonathan was kind enough to help us out since we were having difficulty finding someone local to fix our ant problem. Before Jonathan came out to our house, we had tons of ants showing up daily in different parts of the house despite using bait everywhere. Yet after the first treatment the ants were gone! Great company, family owned, run well, great communicators. Our air duct people found a dead rat in the ceiling of our garage, so we immediately called Ecotech to investigate. Jonathan picked up the phone right away, was easy to schedule with, responsive to questions, came very prepared and knowledgeable. Dave and Josh just came over our house to pickup the dead rat on a moment's notice. They set traps a month ago after inspect the house. After a few weeks, we were still bothered by the roof rat, they came back immediately to set more traps and plugged all the attic access they can find. For the last few days, it has been noise free at night. This morning after a weekend of rain storm, not sure what happened, but there is a dead rat floating in our small pond. I had originally rated a 1 star due to a miscommunication but I received a call from the owner, David, which after talking and clearing some things up managed to go above and beyond to make things right. His son and another associate came by to perform the work on my newly purchased home and they did a very thorough inspection, spraying and baiting. They will be back for a reinspection to make sure the pest issues have been taken care of. Since they care about their customers I will most likely be setting up a reoccurring spraying and recommend them to my Fathers business for inspection and spraying. read more

I hate to write negative reviews, but.... Plus sides: David is a really friendly guy who exudes confidence in his own work. He returned my phone call promptly and he showed up when he said he would. He had good advice about how to seal up my food to make the house less attractive to mice. He gets a second star for his good customer service. Sadly, he did not do a good job dealing with my mouse problem. He set traps and patched entry points where I pointed out previous problems to him. And he located one other possible entry location and dealt neatly with that problem. His inspection was cursory at best. 5 days after he came, not one mouse has been trapped by the traps he set, and I am continually find more mouse dropping that either have come since he arrived or, more likely, were here already -- they are in areas of the house that he did not inspect. Zero stars for actually solving my problem. Though David seems like a really nice guy, I feel like I wasted my money and my time having him come out. And I still have to deal with the rodent problem which he confidently had assured me he would solve. Too bad. read more

I was desperate. I was conned by another company (see my review re Dirty Rats Rodent Control) and needed someone professional and attentive. Dave came to my rescue. He was prompt and insightful. He looked at the faulty work of the other company, told me what needed to be corrected, gave me a recommendation of a handyman to fix the ineffective "sealing" by the other company, and set up traps that are far more modern and effective. We discovered a mice problem (ugh) and called Ecotech for an inspection. Jonathan was very thorough in his inspection and his handyman, Big Ed, sealed up our house. He was very nice and knowledgeable about pests in general. He had Eco-friendly products which was awesome because I have a dog and was worried about chemicals. I came across a few ants in my bathroom and decided to knock out the problem before it got worse. I saw the reviews for these guys and thought I'd give them a try. Josh came out to my house the same day and put out bait and sprayed my entire bathroom. The whole process took only a few minutes. The bait attracted more ants and I got worried and decided to phone them up. Josh explained to me that the bait would attract ants for a short time but assured me they'd be gone in a day or so. We have a rat issue on our lemon tree in front yard. I called this company and they called me back and left a voicemail at 7 o'clock at night. Not that I would expect someone to work this late but it shows their commitment to the business. I called them back the following day and explained that wasn't interested in trap and killing the rats but the deterring them from eating the lemons.. They explained that it is no good chemical to do this and that the best avenue would be to remove the lemons from the tree. My husband and I just can't praise enough about Joshua, he is honesty, responsive and thoughtful. We found fleas inside our house. Joshua came to our door the next day after we had called him. He not only helped us to eliminate indoor fleas, but also volunteered to check our backyard. Just following up on the specific pesticides they use - the natural pesticide they recommended certainly seems to do /something/, as I've sprayed it directly on a couple of bugs and they freaked out and died very quickly. That being said, I was still seeing some spiders after their first treatment, so I redid it with a synthetic pesticide (and also covered a gap in the baseboard that I hadn't noticed before), and haven't seen any spiders since then. As I said, the specific product they use doesn't seem like a big deal since they give a detailed explanation of how to keep things up yourself very easily. read more

I am extremely happy with Ecotech and their service! Recently a flower farm, old barn, and condemned house were removed from our block. The result was that displaced mice (including field mice) infested our house. It was revolting and nothing we did really got rid of them (the cat killed a few, but he barely made a dent). In desperation, I called Ecotech after hours on Friday, thinking they would contact me Monday or Tuesday. Well, Saturday morning at 9:00 I received a call from Dave! Dave let me know that because of scheduled vacations and lots of calls I might have to wait a few days. I was so impressed with his promptness and kindness I said I would be happy to wait. He told me to call him back at the end of the week, but I didn't have to because he called me as soon as he had an opening and was near my neighborhood. I can't say how much I appreciated that ( I felt I wasn't alone as I sat in my mousy hell). Dave and his helper came and checked out the house, gave us some good ideas about food storage, closing access points, and then they set different kinds of traps. They were extremely efficient and professional. The price was incredibly reasonable and included more traps if we needed them. Within a half hour of their leaving we caught two mice and more the next day with a grand total of FIFTEEN by the end of the weekend! Had a pest problem, I called one of the big boys and am still waiting for a return call. I called ECOTECH the same afternoon, an appointment was set for next morning. Dave is awesome! Be helped 3 months prior with a rat that had entered the house through an open patio door. He advise the safest places for traps with a 1 and 3 yo boys in the house. I highly recommend Dave and Ecotech. I was a long time customer of a major pest company that did organic preventative work on the outside of my home. I had no major problem for years. But when an ant problem occurred the major pest company was less than helpful - they didn't spend the time to evaluate, they didn't show for appointments, they were not responding to the fact that the problem was escalating. And in fact the ant problem over weeks got worse and worse. In frustration I called Ecotech on a Saturday and on SUNDAY (yes Sunday) Dave came over. He took the time and evaluated the problem, sought good immediate and long term solutions, and explained everything along the way. His bait traps were far superior to what the other company had provided. We knew it wouldn't be an instantaneous fix but well within the time frame Dave set the ants were entirely gone! It's now been a few weeks since the the problem was fixed and things are still great. Not an ant in sight. I am no longer a customer of the major company (they were SO bad) and am now going to be an Ecotech customer! I really can't say enough about how great it was to work with Dave. I cannot say enough good things about this company. Our house is 100 years old with a full basement, and had never had issues with pests in the 14 years we have lived here. We noticed a small mouse, called Ecotech and Dave came out two hours later. He was knowledgeable, thorough, and explained that due to the drought, mice are increasingly coming indoors. He baited our house, identified possible points of entry, and within days we have caught mice and notice no more droppings. When I called him a few days after he came to let him know that four traps had been successful, he dropped off new baited traps the next day (he would have also set them up again, but we were not at home and were glad to keep momentum going and set them up when we got home).
