I would highly recommend this business. They are knowledgeable, reasonable , thorough and do not try to 'up sell' their services. I've dealt with other pest control companies that are intent in trying sign you up for monthly services weather it's really necessary or not. Echotech promptly responded to my VM requesting their services for ant control and came out to address my request the next day. Josh, one of the partners in the company, was very personable and knowledgeable and very clear about the strategy for proactively treating the home inside and out. Absolutely AMAZING! Incredible customer service. We were having ant problems - would just find ants roaming around here and there throughout the house - we have a very clean house, no food left anywhere, but I would find ants in the bedroom, bathroom, laundry room, etc. - a few here, a few there. And I was also getting some type of bug/insect bite - was sure it wasn't bed bugs or fleas - but didn't know what it could be. Jonathan returned my voicemail, listened to what I needed, explained everything, gave me a quote over the phone, scheduled a time for him to come by two days later. He was on time - texted me letting me know when he was on his way. So courteous in how he operates. Sprayed outside the house, inside the house, and different type of insecticide for my bedroom where I was getting the bites. Jonathan also gave me some glue boards just in case and told me where I should place them. When I told him about spotting spiders inside the house sometimes, he recommended regularly de-webbing around the house and told me about a product that I could buy from Amazon and let me how I should use it - sent me the link to the product. We had a great experience with Ecotech and would highly recommend them! We noticed that mice had gotten into our kitchen so we gave Ecotech a call and Joshua came by the next day. He was friendly, professional, and respectful (he took off his shoes in our shoe-free home without me asking). He quickly found the source of the mice (a hole behind our oven) and patched it up and set some traps out for us. Pricing felt very fair compared to what other businesses were quoting. Jonathan was great at helping us out with a rodent problem that appeared. He did a full inspection of all entrance points (crawl-spaces, roof access, basement access under deck, etc.). He flagged all the potential problem-areas and set traps out and came by two more times -- one more before his handyman arrived (to confirm the entrance points), and an additional time after the handyman completed the repairs (to confirm no more critters entered). Jonathan was super detailed in showing me (with pics) at each step of the way. Ultimately, the culprit was a water pipe for a newly added drip-line system the previous owners placed through a metal-mesh covering that they never properly sealed up (there was about 1" around the pipe cut-out meshing that was enough for the critters to come through in the foundation crawl space). So far, no more critters... and I also had him do a spray (dog-friendly) before the rains to abate the ants from coming back this year. So far, I'm ant free. For the few hundred we spent, I can now sleep assured there's no more scratching and nesting in my basement. Josh does great work and uses excellent products. We were wasting a FORTUNE on monthly "service" from some slacker that rarely bothered to show up, and when he did, barely did anything. So we called Josh and he did a three-treatment system that kept the ants away for MONTHS. They came back just to see if it was safe, and he came back as soon as I called to show them it's not. I had Joshua do a dewebbing and spray on my exterior, he's very friendly and a hard worker. I like that his treatment is safe for children and pets but more importantly it actually works. My husband found several dead bugs outside a couple days after the treatment. I had a bug invasion that I initially thought was fleas, and was calling every pest control company I could -- he wasn't able to come up to San Francisco right away since he was booked, but was very generous with his time in answering my questions and giving feedback on how I could potentially treat them myself. UPDATE 7/7: I am a very happy customer. We caught 8 mice (Blech!) over the course of a couple of weeks and I can finally breathe easy. Joshua is like hitting the jackpot when it comes to exterminators - effective, easygoing, responsive and trustworthy. I also had him get rid of an ant problem we had as well. Highly recommend!! ORIGINAL: I hate mice. And I was overwhelmed when I realized that the house I had moved into had a long-standing mouse problem. I called a bunch of exterminators. Few called me back and the responses I got were very varied. Company #1 tried to get me to buy into a long-term service contract right away and had a two week wait. Guy #2 refused to even quote me an idea of a price over the phone and started going into a long-winded philosophical discussion about "catching" versus "understanding" the mice. Dude - it's mice. I just want them and their pesky droppings gone. Joshua called me back promptly within 24 hours and was able to fit me in the following day. From our brief conversation, I felt infinitely better since it was clear that he knew what he was doing and was very realistic and calm in his responses. Like other people have stated theirs in the rare company willing to teach you how to do things yourself if you would like. I decided to have him do exclusion work as well. We had just 1 more mouse we couldn't catch. We tried to save money by doing it ourselves for a few weeks, but just couldn't catch the last remaining one. We should've called Dave from the beginning because that would've helped us eliminate wasted money and stress. I wished someone had referred him to me earlier. Within a week of setting his traps, there were no traces of mice in the house and thank God that I don't have to deal with it anymore. We've had rat/mice problems for about a year now. Our place is rather clean, no clutter or dirt. We make sure it's organized, and food is stored away. It all started when we had a 1" flood in our kitchen/family room. Kitchen sink pipe broke, water damaged our tiles. We replaced it with hardwood. Since then droppings (rat feces), torn chip bags, candy bars (they love Kit-Kat my wife was pissed!), scraps of wicker baskets, plastic toys (rat ate my 1 yr .old's plastic lettuce toy), and nuts found in pieces daily. I called a pest/exterminator immediately. long story short. $250 gone and nothing to show for it. Friendly exterminator guy just didn't get the job done. So i invested in mice/rat traps, glue boards, did all my youtube research on trapping these unwanted pest myself. I killed one mouse a month ago with a glue board. That's it. More and more food scraps were discovered a few days later. I gave it one more shot with a different exterminator from YELP! thank you!!!! Dave the man! Experienced, knowledgable, friendly and also the owner. So far we caught 3 rats within 5 days. He knows exactly what to do. Also at a lower price from the last exterminator. Not sure if the pest problem is completely done. Daily observations and possible weatherproofing may still need to be addressed. However, the results so far have been great! read more

I waited purposely a couple of weeks to see if the service was effective and I can say that I had a great experience all the way around. I have. 100%. Dave came out on the same day which was awesome considering I freaked out over two beetles. But hey, better to be safe than sorry. I was really looking for a few things from the exterminator. 1. Safe for my pets but still effective. 2. Same Day Service 3. Expertise 4. Reliability 5. Effective Solution I got all of this and great service too. Dave came out and took a look at the poor beetle that I murdered (insert tear, I hate killing living things). He contacted someone or something to make sure he was accurate in telling me what kind of beetle we were dealing with. Then he did a walk around the property and found another beetle that I would have missed as I was walking with him. I felt he did a thorough inspection between making sure he knew what beetle I had and walking the property. He put some sand mixture in the front and backyard and then sprayed all they way around the house. My dog is super sensitive to chemicals and sadly he would probably eat my cats if I let him in the house full time so I had to make sure we had a safe product. Dave said it was safe and my dog has not acted differently. He has freaked out before from the gardeners next door spraying chemicals. He said he would come back if we had any further issues. I felt that he really cared about his work and would follow through. I appreciated the fact that he was willing to back up his work. His pricing is competitive and I was happy with the service I received even 30 days later. My boyfriend just said he saw a big spider on our porch and he went to step on it but it was already dead.
