A couple months back I got my car serviced for a tire change, when I picked up the car the rear end was crashed and the employee driving it said he didnt know what had happened. When we checked the footage the employee was the one who crashed. I took it back home and the tire they had changed was completly flat. After that They sent me to someone they knew from a body shop (route 19 body shop in elgin) to get the rear end fixed and they had my car for over 2 months and wouldn't update me or answer my calls, I went to go check up on it and found my car unlocked, with keys inside and alcoholic beverages so I took it home and was never contacted after that. There is gaps in the panels in the rear of the car and the panels that were "fixed & painted" are now chipping and peeling. Worst experience ever! read more

Where to begin before I came here I was told that my aftermarket wheels would get scratched but I wanted to give this shop benefit of the doubt. I took photos of my wheels they were NEW un scratched and never mounted on the tires. I take my after market wheels to get mounted everything seems good till they tell me my cars done. One of the older techs was out with me saying everything is good nothing is wrong. But I ended up checking my wheels and they get scratched where the center caps are supposed to go. All 4 wheels then one of my rear wheels got damaged from the weights they used to balance. I rub my finger on the scratch could cut my finger if I rubbed on it harder so that means it got pretty damaged. They techs come out tell me a bunch of excuses saying they couldn't prevent it from getting scratched when getting balanced. They told me the weight slipped off and ended up damaging the inside of the wheel. They ended up slapping an other stick on weight over the gash, they kept trying to make it seem like it's okay. They told me " honestly no one will notice it" asked me where are the center caps. Why should I have to spend money on something I didn't damage. Kept on telling me they didn't do it on purpose and just a bunch of excuses. They told me "the paint is cheap and the wheel didn't come like that","if we didn't feel comfortable mounting the wheel we wouldn't have mounted it".Then I guess the "Owner of the shop" was just rude looked at the damage and just told me to file a police report and left. While I was dealing with the two shop techs over like 10 minutes. I told them I took pics before I left and I know so many people with these types of wheels that don't end up getting damaged while getting tires mounted. But one of the techs that kept speaking to me tryna figure out a solution after all the arguing. He said he would let his boss know and he knows someone who can paint them. But that's not what I agreed to and not trusting them again after what they did. So I told the shop tech next week im going to get my wheels checked to get a quote/ invoice. Told him to let the Owner know as well and gave the tech my name and phone number. I know the shop tech isn't the owner but even the "Shop owner" didn't care or try to even find a solution. Told the shop tech that isn't a professional way to handle business at all I'm the customer and I had to argue just isn't right. I gave them a call the following week with the quote spoke the lady at the front desk she told me "there's a sign saying they aren't responsible for damaging wheels" I told them one of the tech told me that "if they think or didn't feel comfortable doing it they would have told me they wouldn't mount them". Then I get a call back from one of the tech saying "listen to stop trying to bother him with this " then we get in a argument over the phone keep in mind one of the shop techs calls me just trying to deny. To get my wheels fixed when I told him the quote was $720 he's like why $720. I explained to him you scratched all 4 wheels and he knows this because both the shop techs checked the damage. Then after we argued he's like call the police and hangs up most unprofessional shop/ business I ever dealt with. No communication whatsoever and will keep this updated but so far not looking good and waiting for shop owner to call back. Whole point is I didn't bring my "new wheels" scratched and they aren't trying to be responsible or pay for damages so far. read more

I went to Economical Tires yesterday to get my tire fixed. They fixed the flat and gave me a 30 day warranty on the plug. I woke up the next day it was flat, I brought the car back to economical tires, without hesitation the manager says no problem John will take care of you! At that time they found another hole...no biggie! still took care of me! This is the second time I have used these guys for a tire repair, the first time went great, they mounted a used tire to replace a badly damaged tire, the next time I thought I had a relatively easy flat to plug, well it turned out that the "screw" in the tire was a 3 inch long piece of steel, tire was unrepairable, they had me out the door quickly with a nice used tire, and it only cost me a very few dollars more than the tire repair would have been.
