The owner's dishonesty cost me almost 7 weeks without a truck. Steer clear…read more I brought my truck here to have a complete RevMax transmission kit installed because they told me that they could do the job and were familiar with the transmission on my truck (first lie) I was quoted around 4 days and a thousand dollars and when I called, the owner told me that they would take care of everything so I could get my warrantee from the manufacturer, this includes checking line pressures, clutch values, and some break in miles after re flashing the computer. After two weeks I was told that it was ready, and paid my bill of $1690. When I asked them about all of the pressures etc they hemmed and hawed and told me that a dealer needed to do that because they can't but everything is fine. They literally left me in the parking lot with a very NOT okay transmission. I brought it to the dealer who found fault codes and numbers that were way wrong. (Second lie, it was NOT fine, they didn't take care of any warranted stuff I specifically asked about. 3rd lie, they didn't even have the tools to check the pressures, let alone reflash the computer like they said they had) So, I brought the truck back and for the next 4.5 weeks I called and asked about it and kept getting stories about how nobody could figure it out. Finally they had another shop reflash the computer (which they said they already did, but did not) and the transmission started making pressures that made sense but still were far from right. So, I picked up my truck and brought it to a friend who is a mechanic. He had all the correct scan tools to work on the truck, and him and I were able to get the transmission running correctly after a long day's work. So, I was lied to about them being able to do the job, over charged, lied to that it was done right, lied to about what had been done, and in the end I had to call in a favor and fix it myself because they couldn't figure it out. I just hope that during the whole process they didn't seriously damage any hard parts in the transmission. I had a really terrible experience here.

Since this pandemic, recession/depression started I have been reviewing companies you really…read moreshouldn't waste your money at for a multitude of reasons, but I feel the need to point out businesses that I've always kept close to the vest as a widely-held secret, but honestly, if you still drive, you can't afford to waste your money at some 200K mile mechanic chain today either. One of the first things I do when I am working at a new office is to find the auto repair shop that the owners and managers of where I'm working at and trust with their car repairs, so when my office moved out to Kane County, that shop is Dundee Automotive. I originally had a Dodge Neon that I had bought years ago during a previous contract gig in Phoenix Arizona and I'm 100% certain Dundee Automotive kept that 'thing' running longer than any of the previous mechanics could ever dream of keeping mechanically sound, and it was their eye for catching things other mechanics would have missed that I felt secure with their service to give that car to my nephew on his 18th birthday. I've also bought a car from Dundee Automotive, and other customers will give them the heads up if they want to sell their car and as much as it sounds like a cliche, I bought a Subaru Forrester that was one of Randy's niece's cars and drove it for about a year, and I was able to sell it for more than what I paid for it. Most recently in 2017, I picked up an Audi A4 Quattro (also from Arizona) and while I'll let the dealer do the oil changes and give me the free service inspections, I leave it to Randy and his ace mechanics to do whatever service is needed as its considerably less expensive than the Audi dealer. If you've read my other Yelp reviews, you would know I drive this Audi A LOT around the Midwest, to conferences, conventions, client sites, etc, and (knock on wood) for German engineering, (knock on wood, again) to Dundee Automotive for keeping it running like it was new. Don't take my word for it, take a look at all the other reviews for whatever reason Yelp isn't currently recommending, as they are also five-star reviews, so the next time your check engine light goes off, give Randy and the mechanics at Dundee Automotive a try, I'm sure you won't be disappointed!

I've taken all of my cars to Dundee Automotive for decades and I've never been disappointed…read more They've always done all of the work they promised, the work was completed on time, and at the price they quoted. I trust and recommend them unhesitatingly!

For example, back in the FaLL of 2020 I bought a set of tires and rims. The rim corrosion after on year was terrible! Scott and then Juan replaced them for a different set with no problems. I always buy the tire warranty and have used them with NO Problem four times. One time I needs a set of tires for an 18 year old truck. I didn't want to spend a lot. Scott chased me down in the parking lot and told me he had a set that was just returned and sold them to me for cost. I've been a customer since. I've bought over 15 sets of tires there over the past decade or so. My go-to tire shop, and I even have a COSTCO membership! Lol . JacK J.

I complained and the manager got me in pretty quickly but their system of waiting on customers definitely needs improvement. Yesterday, I went there to have the air in my tires checked. The bay door was closed and there was a car in front of me. I waited about 10 minutes and decided to call in case they were not offering the service. I was told they were but they were pulling cars in to check the air, i guess due to the cold. I waited another 5 minutes and nothing so I left. Don't know how long the other car was waiting but 15 minutes to check the air in tires is ridiculous!
