Brought my car in for a few issues and they were on it! Honest & affordable service. Kind & communicative throughout the process.

Stopped in on my way home because m yheadlight on my LR4 was out and didn't want to take it to Ziegler in Schaumburg for something that seemed simple. Well they replaced it in about 5 minutes and charged me squat and then I was on my way home. I love these guys. read more

Went in to assess noise from drivetrain. It was determined rusted out control arms broken and new replacements required. I left. Ordered the parts and called to make an appointment to have them replaced. He scheduled me for first thing Friday morn 6-12-26 After checking in 8 am he told me ir was probably goingvto be hours before they coukd get to it.After waitng 4 hours in hot sun he came out and backed out of job and commitment. I did not presdure him. He could have refused at the point of making appointment.Instead he Grossly Disrespected me. In discussion i shared thst a mechanic onnyoutube faced with a hesvy rusted trailblazer did the job in 30 minutes, so if it goes easy it is not a big job by any means. To back out assuming the absolute worse casr possibikity and then to allow me to sit 4 hours ranks as the single most pathetic business management intrractionni have ever had in 60 years read more

Since this pandemic, recession/depression started I have been reviewing companies you really shouldn't waste your money at for a multitude of reasons, but I feel the need to point out businesses that I've always kept close to the vest as a widely-held secret, but honestly, if you still drive, you can't afford to waste your money at some 200K mile mechanic chain today either. One of the first things I do when I am working at a new office is to find the auto repair shop that the owners and managers of where I'm working at and trust with their car repairs, so when my office moved out to Kane County, that shop is Dundee Automotive. I originally had a Dodge Neon that I had bought years ago during a previous contract gig in Phoenix Arizona and I'm 100% certain Dundee Automotive kept that 'thing' running longer than any of the previous mechanics could ever dream of keeping mechanically sound, and it was their eye for catching things other mechanics would have missed that I felt secure with their service to give that car to my nephew on his 18th birthday. I've also bought a car from Dundee Automotive, and other customers will give them the heads up if they want to sell their car and as much as it sounds like a cliche, I bought a Subaru Forrester that was one of Randy's niece's cars and drove it for about a year, and I was able to sell it for more than what I paid for it. Most recently in 2017, I picked up an Audi A4 Quattro (also from Arizona) and while I'll let the dealer do the oil changes and give me the free service inspections, I leave it to Randy and his ace mechanics to do whatever service is needed as its considerably less expensive than the Audi dealer. If you've read my other Yelp reviews, you would know I drive this Audi A LOT around the Midwest, to conferences, conventions, client sites, etc, and (knock on wood) for German engineering, (knock on wood, again) to Dundee Automotive for keeping it running like it was new. Don't take my word for it, take a look at all the other reviews for whatever reason Yelp isn't currently recommending, as they are also five-star reviews, so the next time your check engine light goes off, give Randy and the mechanics at Dundee Automotive a try, I'm sure you won't be disappointed! read more

Dundee Automotive - Car - Auto Repair Near Me - East Dundee, Illinois

This is a great shop. They went out of their way to help us out, giving me rides home, and even bringing a car seat to us which we had left in our van. They gave honest opinions and didn't try to oversell us on anything. They (and another shop they work closely with) did a transmission rebuild on our van. Since then, we took a family vacation, driving to Aspen, CO and crossing many 10,000' mountain passes. It was a nearly 3000 mile trip of long, daily driving over a week's time, and it drove beautifully. Recommend these guys 100%. read more

I've been going here for a few years now, and the quality of their work is excellent along with their customer service. I won't go anywhere else for repairs. Thank you Greg! read more

We have been going to DA for several years. I can't say enough about the high quality of work and customer service of this company. And they charge a fair price which is much less than we would pay at the dealership.. I used to be anxious about bringing my car in for service anywhere. With DA, they are smart, honest and I would not take my cars anywhere else. Highly recommended. read more

I've taken my vehicles here for years and will continue. BMW's will bleed you dry...As much as I love the free Starbucks at MotrWrks, it's not worth an extra grand. Quality and value from good guys. read more

We have been taking our cars to Dundee Automotive for many (10-15) years and have never been disappointed. They do great work at a very reasonable price. No matter how busy, they are always willing to help us out. I have complete faith in their ability to provide excellent service on our cars. read more

We use Dundee Automotive for all of our vehicle needs and problems. Randy and his son's/employees are really good at what they do and they have the best prices around. Most importantly, they are straight up and honest about what problems your car may have and they tell you if you need to get something fixed right away (in lew of your car getting more damage if you didn't get the problem fixed) or if it is something that needs to be taken care of in the near future. I will continue to use Dundee Automotive as my go to mechanics and I will also highly recommend them to all I know. read more

I am doing business in the area and needed to get my car fixed to allow me to commute safely. They got me in the same day. Showed me the area of concern and quoted both a price and time frame of repair. Both came in under the quote. Everyone in the shop was friendly and professional. They even reminded me that my car was low on gas before I left the shop. I would highly recommend Dundee Auto for all your cars or trucks needs. read more

This shop is the reason you support local businesses. My 05 Nissan was acting up, being new in the area I Searched Yelp for a local shop and found Dundee Automotive. From the initial phone call I knew I picked the right shop. They not only let me bring my vehicle in as soon as I could they had it diagnosed and repaired within a few hours. If you are looking for a family owned local shop this is the place!! It's like having a family mechanic in the neighborhood. I will continue to use them for both of my vehicles from now on. read more

25,000 stars for this place! I have had front end issues on my SUV for a couple years and have had conflicting quotes/diagnosis's. Within one day of bringing in my vehicle it was all figured out, conveyed to me in a very informative manner, and handled. I felt confident in their expertise and very financially satisfied with their fair pricing. Will absolutely return! read more

Courteous, consistent, careful, conscientious, professional and thoughtful are some of the reasons I keep coming back. This place is always honest and helpful. I feel like the guy below me didn't even go to the same place. Everyone was so friendly and knowledgeable. Never made me feel stupid or tried to upsell me. I thought my car was due for some heavy upkeep hitting 100,000 miles but it turned out I still had some miles before my tune up. I used to bounce around auto shops never quite trusting what they say because they all would say something different. It's good to know there are still honest businesses out there! read more

I got ripped off with this guy. He charged me 2 times the amount for labor as compared to the parts cost which totally ran into hundreds of $$$; finally he says the engine needs to be replaced!!! At this point I pulled my vehicle out of his shop! I still had to pay $$$ for parts and labor. read more

One of the last mechanics around who is truly honest and will only do repairs that truly need to be done. Have brought my car to others corporate places and then brought it here and was told I didn't need half the work that was suggested/recommended by other places. Randy is a great guy! They have my business for life. read more

I had my Honda pilot repaired here several times. They are honest, reliable, quick service, and use quality parts. An example of their upstanding reputation, they told me about a warranty that was covered on my car. They could have said nothing and taken the additional revue, instead they were honest and up front. That is going above expectations for most service industries. read more

I can't say enough good things about Dundee Auto. Randy and Greg are great. They fix it right, only if needed at a fair price. I drive far to go to them, and it's worth it. This is the kind of family owned business we all need to support. read more

Greg at Dundee Automotive has been consistently helpful throughout the years. Fast, excellent service. Highly recommended. Thanks to everyone at Dundee Automotive! read more

Friendly employees, quick turnaround, and much lower rates than the dealership quoted me!!! Highly recommend them!!!

This was my first time using Dundee Auto, and will return in the future. They were very friendly, provided upfront estimates, and very reasonable prices to repair my 2005 Toyota. Thank you for the service. read more

I went there several times with different cars. Great guys. One time I asked Randy to check my BMW as the warranty was about to expire. Randy gave me a report detailing several areas needing attention. I went to the dealership showed them the report and they fixed every single thing under warranty. It saved me several thousand dollars. If you looking for honest mechanic this is the place to go. read more

Best service and pays attention to detail and perfection. From professional mechanic (Scott), I can ensure that it's done and done correctly. There is a level of pride in the work that is done here and simply can't find better suggestions and diagnostic checks for the better of your vehicle. I've take a 35 miles trip from Chicago to East Dundee whenever my car needs some attention and trust me nothing compares to Scott's work. Honesty is his ONLY policy!!! Keep up the awesome work at da DA (Dundee Auto) read more
