Every single time I call to make an appointment, i'm told there is no availability. Further, they don't even offer WHEN their next available openings are. It is a great location, and great staff, and IF you can actually get in, its worth the money. However, if a customer is calling to make an appointment -- it seems the appropriate thing to do is to say, "I'm sorry, we don't have openings today...but, our next available openings are on ______" Instead, my conversations go like this: Me: "Do you have any openings this afternoon?" Response: "No, sorry." Me: "Well, how about tomorrow?" Response: "No, none then either." Me: "Ok, how about the next day?" Response: "No, we're booked then too." Finally, i get frustrated and just hang up. I'm not sure what kind of clientele they can maintain without being helpful to customers that WANT to frequent your business... read more

I have gone to a lot of nail salons on suggestion of many friends and I always leave disappointed, either in the ambiance or the service. This is the exception. The salon is beautifully appointed and truly full service. Passed out chocolate covered strawberries and offered water. My friend has followed Katherine the manager for a while and we went together. This was my first visit, and I did not feel like it was anything special. Things that are done at other spa locations are not done here unless you "buy up" Do not apply lotion after so my feet were really dry upon leaving and so were my hands. This is a great nail place. I've been here twice and I loved the service I got. I got a shellac nail polish change once and a shellac manicure another time. The women that work there are really friendly, efficient and thorough. They add little extras that I love like they keep their lotion in warmers so it's not freezing when they put it on you. The place is decorated really well and is very relaxing. My only complaint is that both times I got shellac, at least one nail would peel by the time I got home. It didn't look terrible but I paid a lot of money and I get shellac so it doesn't come off. I think the problem is they don't paint the nails all the way to the end so there is a small stripe of nail that isn't painted and that is what peels. They also have a point card so you can save up for a free mani/pedi and many other services. I would give them a 3.5/5. read more

I really liked this salon! It smells really good and the atmosphere is very relaxing. I was there for a kids mani/pedi for my 9 year old, and they were able to fit in a shellac mani for me. My daughter didnt fit in the chairs at all, but they were able to accommodate her very well. I didn't get the name of the lady that helped her, but they were talking the whole time and she answered every question my daughter had. My daughter did manage to smudge her pedicure while moving from the manicure area to the drying area, but it was fixed right away. My manicure was very nice. I had Anna and I explained that I like my nails to be square with the edges rounded, but that when I got my last manicure I thru didn't understand what I wanted and made them round. She calls what I wanted "soft square" and she fixed it beautifully. She was very fast with the polish, but I'm very nitpicky and I haven't noticed any flaws. I also liked how clean everything was. All the tools are sanitized and metal, and everyone wears gloves. I have 1 more salon to check out because I want to try a powder manicure, but for regular polish or shellac, this one is great! read more

One of my best beauties got married in August, 2014. I was lucky and honored to be a bridesmaid and we all ended up going here for a little mani / pedi the day before the wedding. And let me tell you, this place is AHHHHHH-MAZE-ING. The staff there was so welcoming and accommodating. They have these outrageously comfortable massage chairs they put you in while you are getting your pedicure. The best, I mean the BEST part? Half way through your pedicure, they recline all the way back so it's like you are getting an actual massage. It is crazy out of control goodness. The chocolate covered strawberries and mimosas we were given as we sat down were a nice added touch, but let me tell you when I was reclining back? Man. That really did it for me. The manicure and pedicure lasted for almost 3 weeks. It was not any more expensive than any other nail salon for gel manicure for my nails or a regular pedicure for my toes. Made an 11am Tuesday appointment, last minute holiday party. Got in really quickly for a shellac mani/ pedi. The ped service went faster than it took for me to find a color. I really like to soak in fairly warm water. The water temp needed cooling a tad but the moment she did that we were off to the races.... no soak time at all! Not even 5 minutes !! cuticles pushed at, don't think my toesnails are short enough but.... I'm not coaching a pro right. Polish job is neat though. I'm really tired of going into some of these nail salons and having to monitor their every move. It's supposed to be a spa experience but I'm not relaxing. Mani service was ok. This was my first time going to Eco Nails. I was very interested in an organic nail salon, so I scheduled a mani/pedi with Polly. I really had a very lovely, relaxing experience. Polly gave me a choice of essential oils for my sugar foot scrub and she massaged my feet, legs, hands and arms, it was incredible! The hot towels following the massages were so wonderful. The 15 minute massage was good but the pedicure that came with it was terrible. The nail technician spent not even ten minutes on my toes. I had called ahead and made an appointment, so I was really disappointed when she was rushing through the pedicure as fast as she could. My feet look exactly the same as they did before the pedicure except for the polish change. I still have callousness and my cuticles are a mess. Not worth the $50 bucks plus the tip. I've been looking for a new salon. Today I went in for a manicure. I made an appointment for 2:30pm. I arrived at 2:25 and was greeted immediately. My nails look good but honestly she was in a big hurry. Apparently she had an appointment at 2:30 with another customer so she was hurrying. They should never have given me this nail tech if she had an appointment in 5 Mins I was seated at 2:25 and in my car by 2:40. Are you kidding me a 15 mins manicure. Very disappointed on my first visit and it will be my last. Too pay $32 for 15 mins of work is ridiculous . There are many nail salons out the, even in next door that will get my business. Eco Nails is like a spa with the low lighting and relaxing music. I love it isn't like the typical nail salon where there is a TV and tacky decorations. I appreciate the employees always speak to each other in English, even if it isn't their dominant language. It's rude if the client can't understand, even if the topic isn't about the client. In the past I've had very good experiences here, but ran into a scheduling problem on Saturday. I had a mani/pedi booked with technician I had seen before and she does an excellent job. She greeted me and said would you like your mani or pedi first? It didn't matter to me (but I really came in for pedi/ mani was an add on. She said let's do mani first. Ok They started to get busy and she kept looking at pedi chairs saying she wanted to make sure no one took our chair. During my manicure another client came up and said she was so glad to get in for pedicure with her. As she is finishing my nails she says" do you mind if someone else does your pedicure? I said that's fine but is someone available, she says I'll check with receptionist. Guess what, none is available, she puts me under nail dryer and that's it. No apology, nothing. I check with receptionist and she says , we can take you at 5:30 really? It's almost 1:00 now. Right you bumped me for someone else and I will just wait another 4 1/2 hrs. Customer service could be improved along with scheduling system, we'll see what happens as owner gets back to me on Monday read more

I have been to Eco Nails a few times with my daughter who is a hair stylist and spends hours on her feet every week and splurges on the deluxe reflexology pedi and I too have to say it's the best and worth the extra few dollars over the standard pedi you'd get elsewhere. The technicians are very skilled at applying pressure to key areas of your legs and feet, the herbal treatments and aromatherapy are divine and the zero gravity chairs are unique and relaxing. I have some back and neck issues so will have to adjust my treatment in the future but overall I am very happy with the service, attention to detail and friendliness of the staff. The decor and spa music are also relaxing. I would like to get a manicure next! Helen was my technician and she was great!! So glad to have this kind of spa for pedis close to my home. My feet (and my husband) thank you!!! One question- since reflexology is an ancient holistic treatment, are your technicians trained to know which areas of the feet correspond to the specific organ groups of the body? I noticed some "changes" when one of the areas of my left foot were being worked on but my technician seemed surprised when I told her that. I know there are maps of the feet. Do you provide them? Walking in the salon it looks clean & well maintained. Receptionist has always been kind. It always smells great. Every time I have been in all sanitation and protective steps have been used (gloves, plastic tub wraps, ect)! Making an appointment over the phone can be hit or miss on availability when calling for a same day or needing more than 1 mani/pedi apt at the same time/day. I haven't been able to call for 2 apts @ the same time without waiting several days to a week. However, bc service is so good I understand why! (Frustrating at times but not a negative mark on the salon.) I have been able to get in for a deluxe pedi & reg mani within 45 min for just myself if I call early enough. If I know my schedule I try & schedule my next apt before I leave the salon. Especially if you have a favorite nail tech. Judy is an amazing nail tech and I recommend requesting her! She spends time finding out what works for you & she is very friendly. If you don't get in for an apt right away and you need one go someplace else but schedule a mani/pedi here before you hang up for a different day it is worth it! read more

Luxurious spa-like experience! I can honestly say I've never had a mani/pedi experience quite like this. I love that they use Now essential oils in your pedi water along with diffusing essential oils in the air. Adds massively to your overall relaxation. They also have special zero gravity pedi chairs that are fully reclined for an awesome massage and nail painting. Another show stopper is their awesome scrub and heated lotion. That's right, heated lotion! Oh, they even place a lemon in your manicure water. Super cute and natural. The services are well thought out giving you a wonderful spa-like experience from end to end. We waited for 30 mins past our appt times and we were not greeted in this time either. We finally asked what's happening because we had early dinner reservations in Detroit and were on a schedule. The long & short of it, they only got to me! They either took too many walk-ins or overbooked and could not get to us. We received a flippant "sorry" and that was it! No explanation. Nothing. Well, I started complaining... And we each received a $5 gift certificate. The staff was rude and unprofessional. Furthermore, my gels were peeling in a few days because they were rushing so much. The pedicure chairs were so neat...when they are applying polish to your toes, they tilt the chairs all the way back so you are looking at the ceiling. It is really relaxing.
