So the food here is amazing but the staff are kinda... Odd. Not overly friendly at all. Came to table and said "are you ready to order". Just very cold for a Saturday morning breakfast. read more

See all

The food is just ok , and service wasent that great . I've been here a couple times before and I've never been impressed ! My opinion is that the food isn't that great ( small portions ) and over priced ! I had a corned beef sandwich and a slice of homemade cheese . 40.00 for lunch my nana had a sandwich also and a key lime tart read more

Two words: breakfast burros. The flour tortillas are soft, the eggs are perfect (not runny, not rubbery, not gritty, not questionable in the least, just fluffy and delicious), they're HUGE, the cheese is creamy and melty... I could go on for days. Get 'em enchilada style, both the red sauce and green sauce are rich and savory. They come with a big pile chilaquiles, which are made from kick-ass corn tortillas in a very well spiced red sauce. And, of course, the thing that makes the whole package so amazing: fresh, quality ingredients. There's really no way to make such amazing food without them. The only tragedy is that they only do breakfast on weekend mornings. As for the rest of the food, it's still super-good. I've eaten there quite a few times now and I've never been disappointed by anything. I've eaten/been with people who got: Chicken Salad Sandwich, Chicken & Rice soup, that enchilada salad thing, the Winter Chicken salad, and the double Havarti burger. read more

The food was delicious, and they got it ready pretty quick. I ordered, and by the time I got there, they had it ready. I had the Arizona burger, and it tasted excellent. I did not put ketchup on it, I wanted the real flavor of the burger. They put mushrooms and grilled onions on it. This meal was well worth the price read more

This has become our favorite go to place in Tucson. The menu is very creative, nice cafe ambiance, excellent service. What's not to like? They do close at 8, which seems to suit the neighborhood clientele. Really worth a visit. A great find after 20 years in Tucson!*=+ read more

Pleasant little cafe located in a strip mall on the NW corner of Tanque Verde and Sabino Canyon. Seating is both tables and booths plus an outside patio. Large windows let in plenty of natural lighting. Large craft beer menu with wine also available. Open for brunch on the weekend. Large menu ranging from sandwiches and salads to full entrees, but Mexican food seems to be their tour de force. read more

First visit this evening. The staff is very welcoming and attentive. Very large menu, lots of options. Had the Carne Asada Tacos. Very good. Larger than street size, which was filling. Food was delivered quickly to the table, was hot and very good. Looking forward to my next visit and the chance to try other items on the menu. read more

Good food, great service and lots of options on the menu. Inside and outside seating, very good about having partitions between tables and cleaning if you're nervous about Covid precautions. Will definitely go back. read more

We three went in for breakfast and ordered three different plates. All were very pleasing and quantities were ample. Service was extraordinarily good and attentive. All employees were masked. It could not have been a better experience. read more

I am revising this review from one star since a couple of additional visits. Service and food at restaurant is great, but always check your take out orders before leaving. We have found the portions can be smaller and we have had multiple orders with missing items. I would suggest the cafe open the to-go orders and go over the contents with the customer, like many restaurants do to avoid issues. My only other complaint is that the bacon is very fatty I (we) generally have to leave about half of it on the plate. I'd be happy to pay more for better quality bacon. read more

Use to come here twice a week at least every week, for the last 20 years. this place has gone down hill with terrible customer service not only that, the prices are ridiculous! Not only that I go to pick up a to go order and it's sitting outside in 110 degree weather with no one to greet me. What a joke! Will not be coming backs goodbye eclectic you just lost a life time customer!!! read more

We have had lunch here twice and we're impressed. It's a Tucson version of a New York deli, with a huge menu, sandwiches, salads, Mexican, lots of vegetarian options. They have a team approach to service, so you are not left waiting for your server to remember you. And the patio is nice, even in the heat. read more

Our food was delicious, beautifully plated and plentiful. Iced tea was fresh! Service was welcoming and attentive. Great experience.

I went here with my mom and fiance for brunch. We were all pretty impressed by the selection and the taste of our food. I would love to come here again in the future. They only lost a star because they are pricy. Think breakfast at dinner prices. I spent over $50 for 3 people. read more

Besides the amazing food and friendly staff...the location is prime! Casual but simply delicious! The strawberry salad is the bomb!

Our favorite family restaurant in Tucson. The salsa is REAL, the service is great, the mustard is HOT--no, really, do not try it if you are not right with your Creator. AMBIENCE: 3 stars. Strip mall (hey, this IS Tucson). The booths and chairs are comfy, and there is outdoor seating with misters to keep you cool. SERVICE: 4 stars. We always seem to get very attentive servers and host staff. FOOD: 4 stars. Everybody in the family is happy. From the bean burrito to the grilled cheese, to the Leo's Favorite burrito (my favorite) and their awesome salads--the food is crafted well. The salsa is very good (as is the guacamole), but if you are brave then you MUST try the hot mustard--it will definitely clear your sinuses out! Their soups are great as well--especially the Tortilla Soup with Chicken and Avocado. ALCOHOL: beer and wine available. FAMILY: 5 stars. Great for kids, and food is served quickly. OVERALL: 4 stars. We eat here 3-4x/month. read more

Please yelpers don't let anyone eat at Eclectic Cafe when Jack In The Box is in the same parking lot for the strip mall. The fish flautas were ok but everything else on the plate was COVERED in a weird TOO SWEET poppy seed dressing. It looked like a liquid plastic with black specks. The one star isd overly generous for the food;the service was very good. read more

We ate here because I got an awesome groupon offer. I was surprised at how full and popular this place was; on a Wednesday evening, we had quite a wait for a table. Service was superb and the menu options were quite tasty. I was very thrilled with my choice, which was a stir-fry veggie dish, and my partner got a veggie burger with fries. It was pretty tasty, and we enjoyed a nice dessert as part of our groupon deal. read more

Ok place. Doubt I would come back. Almost a 3 star. Service nice. Way too pricy for the quality. Had a chicken burro with all the chicken lumped on one side. Drenched with weird sauce. read more

Wide variety of fare. Very tastey and worth the trip. Chicken gotta and mexican salad today.

We'd heard from several people that this place, located in a strip mall, was very good. We had passed it in our comings and goings, and it looked nondescript. A little unremarkable, from Tanque Verde anyway. We were going out for the evening and decided to pop in here for dinner. So glad we did. It is, in fact, eclectic. The menu varies wildly from page to page, plus there are seasonal favorites. We ate outside and since the sun was going down, it was really pleasant. Even in a Tucson summer. Food was great, service was absolutely top notch, and atmosphere was wonderful. Can't wait to go back and try some more off their menu! read more

Always, always fresh, great quality, healthy food. Can take your four legged canine family for dining outside. Eaten hear at least 100+ times. Never disappointed. Always fantastic. read more

I found this restaurant within walking distance of my hotel on Yelp. It's unimpressive upon approach in the little strip mall but what an unexpected pleasure! I had the prickly pear tea, quiche Lorraine and salad. The food was fresh, tasty and affordable, and the service was bustling. Added note: the crust on the quiche was perfect. Thank you Yelp for this find! read more

Two words put this place high on my list for a hangover brunch: Amazing coffee. Two other words put this place high on my list for a meal anytime: Fantastic food. I came here with my husband for lunch after a late Saturday night had left us both feeling a little ragged. (Point of note - Yelp currently lists them as being closed on Sunday, but their sign said they were open until 8.) Despite being packed to the gills, they got us a table and some coffee within ten minutes of our arrival. And to their credit, the coffee was great - far better than your usual Yuban-esque restaurant fare. Usually I strongly dislike the overcharge-for-beverages-to-subsidize-meals model that seems so popular, but this stuff was almost worth paying $2.50 a cup for. The menu was almost enough to send me into shock in my compromised state - all sorts of options, all of them delicious-sounding. Eventually I settled on the strawberry chicken salad (hurrah for restaurants that offer half-portions) and a cup of tortilla soup, while my husband ordered the Carne Asada tacos. If there's one thing that keeping me from giving then five stars (aside from my usual hesitancy to give an "excellent" rating based on first impressions), it was the speed of the service - the packed house meant things were a little slow. But to their credit, they kept our coffee cups full, and when the food arrived it proved to be well worth waiting for - amazingly fresh and beautifully presented and just plain delicious. And they even had Arizona Gunslinger hot sauce on the tables, a dash of which boosted the tortilla soup from "good" to "amazing". As I said, I'm hesitant to give five-star (or one-star) ratings on the basis of a single visit - I've had too many disappointing (or more impressive) follow-ups in the past. But they'll certainly be getting my business again, and I have high hopes. read more

This place is a VERY much who you know kind of facility. Food is actually very good but the service wasn't all that unless you know someone. We checked with the host and he told us 10-15 minutes which was totally fine we saw the list there was probably 3-4 parties in front of us but then the couple behind us kind of trapped us in so we were standing there as they checked in and started hugging everyone etc. when we finally made it outside the couple was beside us and the host walked out maybe 5 minutes later and said "oh! Mr and Mrs Smith! Thank you so much for calling ahead ur table is ready!" And I was just very dumbfounded by the whole thing because we were standing there the entire time and they 100% did not call ahead at all.... Once we got in the people sitting in the booth next to us had to literally grab a waiter by the sleeve to ask if they could order. While the lady behind them had a waiter sitting in her booth chatting with her (he was working not on break we were observant of this!) It took a solid 5-8 minutes for a waiter to even hand us menus or ask about drinks. We never got refills on our beverages (however the lemonade was VERY good) and I was brought blue cheese dressing and blue cheese on my salad instead of having "no blue cheese anything" like I had requested... The waiters seemed very overwhelmed and like there was not enough of them. And I totally get it if you're short staffed but maybe don't seat everyone and start throwing things around or hire more wait staff... 3 stars cause the food was REALLY delicious but everything else needs to be adjusted read more

Great food. Out door patio area was cute and the service was good. Prices we good as well. I would recommend this place for a nice lunch.

After reading reviews and wanting to go somewhere different, the husband and I made the trip. For lunch time on a Saturday the wait time wasn't bad, about 15 minutes. First, the menu doesn't match the decor at all. I think an upgrade to the interior would make the Cafe more appealing. But there are a ton of regulars who seem not to mind. I had a chicken torta and the husband had a ruben. Both were pretty good and filling. My main criticism is the waiter. We got our food super fast, but when we were done, we sat for about 10 minutes before we had to flag down someone else for our check. I really felt like we could have left without paying and no one would have noticed. I WOULD NEVER DO THAT! I don't expect to be waited on hand and foot, but if we have empty glasses, offer a refill. If decor doesn't bother you, the food is great. The waiter may have been having an off day. We may eat there again, but take it to go. read more

It's fine. I had a corned beef sandwich and fries, husband had the special, which was halibut enchiladas. Kind of expensive for the food and experience. I would go again and try something else, but wasn't that impressed. Enjoyable, but not exciting for the price. read more

This place has everything: Mexican. Breakfast. Healthy. Vegetarian. Plus local craft brews. Food tastes excellent and great service. Gets a little crowded on weekends but worth the wait. The daily specials are good also. Decor is average but great food. read more

Love the breakfast! It's a bummer they only serve it on weekends. Maybe it isn't so bad considering I'd be broke. I wish they brought the price down a little considering the portion size. They used to be a little bit bigger. But it still doesn't stop me from the amazing Eggs and Chorizo plate! The managers are awesome people and the staff is always nice and friendly. Great local spot that is a must-have. Great coffee also and it's nice to sit outside when it isn't too hot in this Tucson desert. read more

Only been there for lunch on several occasions. Food is actually very good. Great flavor and the portions are really large. I like the diner look, it makes me feel comfortable. Drinks were offered and served right away, always someone to refill promptly ( on other visits had to look for waiter and ask for refill) Server came quickly and asked for our order. She was nice enough but no extra good day, how are you and seemed a little impatient when my husband took a minute to order his entree. She was serving a lot of tables so I am sure she was very busy. Other than that it was very nice. Will return often. The food is very good Have not ordered anything I haven't liked yet!! Ps. Booths are very comfortable but need cleaning in between customers. read more

We're just passing through, but this place is worth putting in my Yelp cue for future reference. The mango chutney chicken salad was delicious. I loved all the gluten free options and fresh food. Somehow my baby did well, too, which speaks for the gentle, friendly ambiance. read more

This is hands down one of my favorite places to eat in Tucson. Anything on their breakfast menu is phenomenal! The chilaques (sort of like an enchilada casserole) is my favorite. I also love the sunrise sandwich. For lunch or dinner I always get the chicken burrito. It is so good and in my opinion better than many authentic Mexican restaurants. Service is always pretty good, but honestly I will always go back because I love the food. read more

A good place to nosh when in Tucson, particularly if you are visiting Sabino Canyon. A VERY extensive menu with something for every palate regardless of food tastes. On Feb 19th 2014 I had lunch here. Very disappointing. I emailed them to let them know. The email bounced. I contacted them using the web form. As of Feb 26th I have not heard from them. Here is the email I sent them: ~~~~~ Greetings, This past Wednesday I stopped in for a bit to eat. Remembering from previous visits your salads were quite filling I decided to order the 1/2 portion of your Spinach And Artichoke Chicken Salad. What a disappointment. "1/2 portion"? I don't think so. It was more like 1/3. And, the amount of artichoke and chicken in the salad looked like nothing more than and after thought. Are you operating under new management? Do you have a new cook? Are you experiencing ingredient shortages? As I said - very disappointing. -Mike BTW - the contact email address on your web site: "info@eclecticcafe.com" bounces. ~~~~ read more

My spouse and I just ate brunch here and had an amazing meal. The food was great and we were pleased with the atmosphere. But by far, the best part of the experience was the staff. Every single person we interacted with was helpful, and friendly. They were very responsive to our needs and I couldn't get over what incredible service they had. read more

A group of six of us ate at Eclectic Cafe tonight. We called ahead, and were seated immediately upon arrival, which is recommended, because at six o'clock on a Friday night, this place is hoppin'! We were greeted by a very friendly server who took our drink orders, explained the special of the evening, and gave us a few minutes to look over the menu...so much to choose from! My wife and I had the Eclectic Club, which I HIGHLY recommend! We both had two pieces of sandwich left over to take home. The fries are also delicious, but you have to pay extra for them, which I really hate when restaurants do that, but it wasn't a deal breaker. Our son had the carne asada burro, and it was as big as his plate! Our two friends had burros, enchilada-style, which looked amazing! We all had to get to-go boxes! Although this place is a bit pricey, and that's the only reason I didn't give it 5 stars - it's DEFINITELY worth it. You get what you pay for. We will absolutely be going back in the near future. read more
