Stumbled across this cute little shop while driving through Lafayette. So glad we did! The Banana Bread Ice Cream Sandwich is outstanding. I am a fan & I love supporting a local creamery (Boulder Ice Cream) & a local establishment. Their prices are 1/2 of what the other local ice creamery over in Louisville charge & the ice cream is better. My only reason for giving 4 instead of 5 stars is that I find the customer service to always be somewhat 'chilly' (a smile would be nice & not acting exasperated) every time I've been in (this is with several different employees) and today's 'single' scoop was only 5 bites (I counted). I call a 5 bite scoop a 'kids scoop' not a single scoop. Other than that, the location is great and I really like their ice cream selection. read more

Delicious Nutella Ice Cream!!! Very easy to walk or bike to on south public. Plenty of parking, nice and clean environment inside the store. Associates were very kind and patient. Didn't try the food but it looked yummy. Definitely come here on the regular read more

We stopped by today after going to the nearby WOW kids museum and we had an excellent lunch. The sandwiches were reasonably priced, large, and custom made with dozens of options for toppings, dressings, and fillings. The soup was delicious, and the cheese and bacon quiche was amazing. The staff was friendly and helpful. We didn't have any sweets this time, but given the rave reviews by other yelpers we will be back to try them soon. read more

I really want to love this place. I've gone in several times over the few years I have lived in the area and gotten a variety of different things from pie to cake to ice cream. Nothing has ever been bad, but I am not left with a need to return. I love pie, and their mini pie is a great idea which I was super excited to get last time I was in. I found the crust to be a bit dry and the filling more jelly than fruit. Customer service has always been great, which is a big part of why I've gone back so many times. I like to support local businesses and know everyone can have an off day. I'm not a super big fan of ice cream, which seems to be what people normally get here. Perhaps this is a place for ice cream lovers. read more

I order cookies and sandwiches from here and had them delivered. In my order, I indicated that I had a tree nut allergy. Not only did they acknowledge my allergy, they called to let me know that they would be making fresh cookies to ensure my order was nut free. Very impressed with the care they took in my order. This place was delicious! I only tried the desserts but I'm sure next time I'm in town I will try the soups and sandwiches too. I had the cheesecake, which was highly recommended (and for good reason). It had two layers of different consistency, which made for an interesting and very creamy cheesecake. I also tried the pear pie, which I took home and heated up. It was also very good. Good crust and filling. The staff was friendly and helpful. This is the fourth 5-star review in a row, so if you're reading this take the hint and check this place out! I stopped in here by chance one morning with my two daughters, one of which was a baby. I have never in my life seen a place that was so great for both adults and kids of any age. My 8 year old went nuts over the hot chocolate bar. Yes, they have a bar of fixins with marshmallows, candy canes, sprinkles, and more. It was great. I had an excellent sandwich that was made on the spot by the very friendly owner. They had a stash of toys that my baby girl just loved. The kids were able to have fun and feel welcome, and I had a great meal and good time. read more

OMG I love this place. Udi's is like a stone's throw from my work but I'm never very thrilled about their sandwiches & salads (plus its super expensive). I remembered this place and although its a 10 minute drive its well worth the coupla extra minutes! Love the BYO sandwich/salad & the mix & match (1/2 sandwich or quiche with soup or salad). Eating their egg salad sand. on gluten free bread right now - the egg salad has some zest to it that really makes it stand out. Eats and Sweets is a great little ice cream shop that's a lot of fun for kids. We love stopping in in the summer after our daughter plays in the neighboring fountain. The owner is usually behind the counter offering helpful friendly service and like another poster mentioned, the banana bread ice cream sandwich is pretty darn good. The customer service could not have been better---and the dessert was amazing. I live out of state but asked about placing an order for a birthday cake delivery in a nearby town. They were incredibly helpful with taking the order and delivery, with no extra charge!! My friend received the chocolate cake with butter cream frosting, freshly made that morning and said it was amazing. Just had the BEST cupcake EVER in my life. I actually got them for my children but my daughter was kind enough to share some. My only regret is not getting my own. I've been here before and I have enjoyed their sandwiches and the kids like the ice cream. It's a great mom & pop local shop! I think the third time was a charm for me and they finally have my heart. Stopped in on a Thursday to order a cake for Saturday... I went right in the middle of a busy lunch hour... Bobby was super nice and helpful. I wasn't sure what size would accommodate the party- he could easily have let me pay more for more than I needed, but instead was truly consultative. I needed an "army themed" cake for my 7 yo, and they delivered a fantastic cake, which tasted as good as it looked! This place is everything a local business should be! Great people, great food. Doesn't get any simpler than that. I go there every week for at least one meal. Their chocolate peanut butter bars are my favorite. Good dietary options, including gluten free bread, vegetarian options, and dairy free treats! The people are great. They are one of the biggest reasons to return again and again. There are times of day when they get really busy and food takes a really long time to get unless you are just getting a quick little treat. Decent ice cream selection, and great baked goods selection. There seems to be something for everyone here. read more
