First time trying Eat Today on South Grand and it was a great experience! We kept it simple and ordered the Meat Lovers Combination, an avocado salad (which came with injera), and a side of fries. Everything was flavorful and fresh -- could've used just a touch more seasoning, but still really good overall. Service was friendly and attentive -- they even offered me water while I waited, which was a nice touch. The space was well lit inside and out, even at night, and there's outdoor seating if you want to relax and enjoy your meal. Definitely a solid Mediterranean spot I'd come back to or recommend if you're in the area.

Delicious, authentic food. Very fresh and flavorful. Service is good. My favorite dish is the veggie combo with injera. Carrot cake is also excellent.

I'm new to Ethiopian food, so I'm not sure what it is traditionally. I do know the meal I just had at Eat Today was wonderful. I had the lamb roast entree with yellow split peas, collard greens and injera (a flat bread you use to eat the food instead of utensils. Everything down to the bread was tasty. Heavy hit of rosemary in the roasted lamb with onions and carrots married nicely with the mild lamb. I could have probably eaten an entire plate of the yellow split peas as they were incredible. And the collard greens were tender, bright with a little acidity and not the least bit bitter. Everything was well seasoned. And service was quick and pleasant all around. I'm coming back again for sure and I believe the yellow split peas will be my entree of choice. While everything was good. Those were incredible.

We love to try new cuisine and when we saw that Eat Today offered Ethiopian food, we just had to try it. We were not disappointed. We had the beef samosa, which tastes like a hearty won ton. The dipping sauce that came with it had quite the kick. For our main course, we had the lamb roast. It was incredible. Very moist and tender. The vegetables were also great. There is a good selection if vegetarian is your thing. We were the only ones there on a Saturday afternoon, and the service was perfect. The food came out quickly. For a small place, they have an impressive beer list, both draft and bottled. I still want to try the pizza, I've heard good things about it. We'll be back.

No liquor, but you really don't need it. The food is so good, you don't miss the cocktails. A group of us stopped by after attending an event down the street and none of us were disappointed. I ordered wings, thinking it would just be wings, but it was an entire meal with a variety of sides. The greens were delicious and the rice was tender and flavorful. Since I thought I was just ordering wing, I also ordered a side of Fries. I was shocked at my serving. Their fries were better than most burger joints. The fries were super crispy, seasoned with pepper and sauce served in a little cup, made my taste buds dance. It was spicy and had a good kick to it. Service was friendly, but at times we had a language barrier. Our server spoke English as a second language, but she was a trooper and still provided our table with attentive service. If you're into African cuisine, I highly recommend you dine here. It will be worth your time.

Eat Today is a new spot on South Grand. It's an adorable African fusion diner adorned with earthy tones. The aroma of sizzling exotic spices hits as you walk in and you're greeted by friendly staff. The menu is diverse offering apps, veggies, seafood and meats. We had the veggie triangular samosa, the tilapia, and the salmon. All were spicy and flavorful. Excellent service!

This is a cute space and the service was okay, though not quick by any stretch of the imagination. I ordered the Spicy Tofu and it was SO bland, I could hardly eat it. All the other items that came with it were more flavorful than the Spicy Tofu! Weird. Probably won't be back.

I met a few friends for dinner at this new establishment on South Grand. The minute I walked in I was greeted. The woman who was our server was kind and helpful. I was very happy to see two pages of menu items that are plant based. All the entrees come with a choice of rice, French fries or Ethiopian flat bread. I ordered the mushroom entree which was delicious. It came with lentils and a side of cabbage/carrots. The rice was yummy too. All the seasoning and spices made this entree so good. And you get a lot of food for the price ($15). The only negative I have is that the mushrooms were a little more salty than I like. Other than that, I was happy. I would recommend this restaurant to anyone who is looking for a whole food plant based meal. Next time, I will get the bread as my side choice!

My husband & I love ethnic food and lean towards veganism, so when we pulled into St Louis at dinner time, Eat Today was a no brainer. This is a bright little spot in a trendy part of town with indoor and outdoor seating. Unbeknownst to us, there was a restaurant crawl going on, and parking was a real challenge. Inside is a beautiful well lit dining space. Service was quick and cordial, but there is definitely a language barrier. The food straddles the line between truly delicious and bland. Standouts on our table were the beet salad that comes with the Veggie Lovers Sampler, the lentil Samosas, and the Tofu entree. Do try the rice as a side with your meal! It is yellow rice mixed with carrots and potatoes. It's delicious!

Loved the environment of this warm and well-designed corner restaurant. Loved all the windows and plants! The woman who served us was so kind and made sure we had everything we needed. I got the beef roast and my partner had the lamb! So yummy, a bit spicy for me but I'm known to be a wimp when it comes to spice . Overall very good, must try!

The food was delicious, we got the lentil samusa, roast beef platter and chicken quesadilla and loved them all!

Delicious, generous portions and an incredible variety--this place has it all! I absolutely love it here. The charming owner is the niece of the woman behind Meskerem Ethiopian Restaurant on S. Grand, adding a touch of family tradition to the experience. The relaxed ambiance makes it even better.

The atmosphere of the restaurant is enchanting, warm and friendly. The music is played at a perfect level for conversation. Our server respectfully welcomed our table of five as 'family.' How refreshing. We ordered five different dishes from the menu. I ordered the beef Suya Burger paired with the plantains. This burger is fabulous. Succulent pieces of highly seasoned hand chopped beef that is juicy piled high with fresh tomato and red onion slices. The spinach is sautéed and nicely seasoned. Then there's this spicy concoction of sauce topped on the burger. The first bite of the soft bun with all its goodness was so good. The plantains are sweet, soft and perfectly cooked. We also ordered Jerk Chicken wings, the Party Jollof Plate with goat, the Egusi Soup with pounded Yam, and Suya. The portions are very generous as we sampled each dish and my word was every dish was a unique taste explosion. Levels Nigerian cuisine is authentically delightful, spicy and most of all, a tasty experience.
