This new restaurant is amazing. When you first walk in you are display with a really nice decor of the restaurant and African music. They also have a DJ which is played sometimes. The service is really nice! Looking at the food options in chose a lot. I want to point out I really like you can choose the different spice levels you want on your food from Mild to extra spicy. The Egusi and fufu was really good! I picked it without protein but spicy and I enjoyed this! It had a lot of flavor and filling. The red snapper was definitely my favorite! Cooked with a lot of flavor and it was tender. Eating it with the spice sauce and onions really took it up a notch. The Jollof and chicken was good. It had a good amount of spice and the chicken was baked nicely. The zobo drink will clean you out. It has lots ginger, hibiscus, pineapple and another ingredient I couldn't pinpoint but it was really good! The plantains were cooked perfectly. They were soft, sweet and really delicious! I want to iterate this is a NEW restaurant and I went when not a lot of people know about them quite yet. So when they pick up in business they may experience some new restaurants mishaps so be patient.

Would recommend (general). Stopped by for lunch during the earlier weeks of this restaurant opening, I heard of them from their sister restaurant, House of Jollof, which I've been too numerous times in the past. As an African person in St. Louis, it is very refreshing seeing new spots that cater to our people and show off our culture. When looking at the menu, they seem to have almost identical options to that of House of Jollof, also have cocktail/wine list. The interior is very nice, even had a small booth where they have DJs so this place definitely seems like a vibe during a nice evening out. For my drink, I ordered the Africana Taboo, which I didn't have any complaints about. For entree, I ordered one of my favorites from HOJ, the Goat Soup with fufu. From first glance, the presentation and aromas that came from this food was really good. The soup came in a smaller bowl than that of HOJ, so it was a little more difficult to eat it how I learned to eat it (from a Ghanaian friend of mine). Nonetheless the taste was just as good, would give a solid 8.7/10. Service was pretty good as well, can't complain about that. When it came to pricing, it was on-par with that of similar restaurants such as Levels Nigerian Cuisine, but I would say that they have a bit more variety than Levels. All in all, I was glad that I came and tried them out, especially when they first opening, just to get rhe authentic experience before the crowd rolls in. I would recommend if you are looking for good African food, this place is not bad place to start with. Hope to get more African cuisine restaurants throughout St. Louis.

I was greeted as soon as I walked in. My order could've been taken immediately but I needed to view the menu. I LOVED the decor and the servers were uniformed. COME ON NOW! That's how you show cohesion. Loved that as well. UGH I keep trying African restaurants and being disappointed. I ordered the Jollof Bowl with Goat. There's a $15 upcharge for goat. That's ALL it comes with. Rice and goat. I added plantains on the side. My bill was over $40. I ordered my food to go. I get home and plate it up. There were 6 pieces of goat which was mainly fat. The rice was ok. I didn't like the peas and carrots on top. I ate around those. The plantains were cooked perfectly. The food was flavorful. Your prices are your prices but the amount of food I received for the price doesn't add up. THAT is what earned 3 stars. DEEP SIGH

The food was delicious! A friend and I shared the joloff rice and the okra soup (got both with chicken). The rice and chicken were absolutely amazing! Such delicious flavors. The soup was good as well, but the rice was our favorite. The service was good and restaurant had a great vibe. My only reason for going down a star is that it was $48 for a bottle of wine which turned out to be a bottle of Member's Mark (Sam's club brand), which retails for $8. No complaints on the wine itself, but the price seemed a little outrageous.

I hate to do this but here I am giving a bad review. I wanted to like this restaurant so bad because it had a lot of buzz, but I will never go here again. I went with a couple of friends and from the time that we stepped in the experience, took a nose dive. First off, The ambience is actually nice. It's a nice space. It's very roomy, and I loved the decor. However, that literally was the only thing that I could compliment about this place. We ordered drinks and I got the Sobolo Fire which was supposed to be one of their signature drinks. They said it's not served with ice so I assumed it would come in a smaller glass. I didn't expect for it to come in a communion cup!. And then when we ordered a second drink the second time around all of a sudden, it had ice in it. It's like they were trying to stretch the drink, which is baffling to me because it's supposed to be a drink served with no ice. So I was irritated with that. We ordered appetizers and it literally took almost an hour and a half for the appetizers to come. We ordered deviled eggs and chicken wings. At least that's what actually made it to the table. The other appetizer that we ordered came another 30 minutes later after our meal arrived. The chicken wings were pretty good. Everything is very small servings as far as the appetizer. The deviled eggs is really a deviled egg for a serving so if you have multiple people with you, you need to make sure to order enough for everybody at the table. The wing order only came with four wings as well. At this point we're going on two hours and have yet to receive our entrée. Once we received it, some of us completely received the wrong meal. I believe the food actually tasted decent, however, I was so disgusted with the fact that they were super Slow, unapologetic about the tardiness of everything, and the service was subpar. I was just ready to go. I would not suggest this restaurant unless you have a whole day to do nothing else but wait on food. Or maybe order it for pick up or takeout... However, you may have to start ordering it now to get it tomorrow!

The atmosphere of the restaurant is enchanting, warm and friendly. The music is played at a perfect level for conversation. Our server respectfully welcomed our table of five as 'family.' How refreshing. We ordered five different dishes from the menu. I ordered the beef Suya Burger paired with the plantains. This burger is fabulous. Succulent pieces of highly seasoned hand chopped beef that is juicy piled high with fresh tomato and red onion slices. The spinach is sautéed and nicely seasoned. Then there's this spicy concoction of sauce topped on the burger. The first bite of the soft bun with all its goodness was so good. The plantains are sweet, soft and perfectly cooked. We also ordered Jerk Chicken wings, the Party Jollof Plate with goat, the Egusi Soup with pounded Yam, and Suya. The portions are very generous as we sampled each dish and my word was every dish was a unique taste explosion. Levels Nigerian cuisine is authentically delightful, spicy and most of all, a tasty experience.

We got the vegetarian combo and my mom's favorite was the green beans and carrots. I also liked the dish with carrots, cabbage and potato as well (but everything it comes with is good). One of the dishes on the vegetarian platter we asked to be spicy but we found that it was very mildly spicy. My grandparents were new to the food and got a dish with medium spice and said that it was very spicy for them. It was the chicken tibs I believe. Next time we plan to try the gluten-free bread instead. My mother got it a separate time and said that it tastes the same or better and is a complete protein. We ordered the small coffee to share and it was enough for two of us to refill multiple times they also gave us milk to go with. If you like coffee, I would definitely recommend getting this as it comes on a platter with incense burning and was a very cool authentic experience. They have a coffee ceremony on Saturday from 1 to 5 that I hope to go to in the future. The best spot to sit at is by the window, either one, but the one not by the door is better. The video of the food is from a time we went a couple years ago as I forgot to get a video this time! We will be coming back!
