We got the vegetarian combo and my mom's favorite was the green beans and carrots. I also liked the dish with carrots, cabbage and potato as well (but everything it comes with is good). One of the dishes on the vegetarian platter we asked to be spicy but we found that it was very mildly spicy. My grandparents were new to the food and got a dish with medium spice and said that it was very spicy for them. It was the chicken tibs I believe. Next time we plan to try the gluten-free bread instead. My mother got it a separate time and said that it tastes the same or better and is a complete protein. We ordered the small coffee to share and it was enough for two of us to refill multiple times they also gave us milk to go with. If you like coffee, I would definitely recommend getting this as it comes on a platter with incense burning and was a very cool authentic experience. They have a coffee ceremony on Saturday from 1 to 5 that I hope to go to in the future. The best spot to sit at is by the window, either one, but the one not by the door is better. The decor is clean but no frills. It was nice however to see Ethiopian muaic videos playing on the lone big screen tv in there. The food was really solid. The lamb soup was quite fantastic. There was cleary some fenugreek in it and the toast points really accentuated the lipids in the soup. I would get it again and again especially in the winter months. The shrimp satay was tasty as well as the injera it was served with and the peas and carrots and green beans that were curried with Ethiopian spices. However, I think Meskerem's injera is a bit better with more of a sour taste.

It included the chicken, lamb, and beef combo with lentils and veggies. Shared the plate, plenty of food for two. We started the meal off with beef samosas with a red sauce. They have vegetarian and gluten free options. There is a patio for outdoor seating. We were there early, service was great and wait time for our food was minimal. Plenty of seating inside. It's one of those drinks that feels perfect on a warm day. I also tried the avocado toast which was decent but didn't quite stand out. It was fresh and nicely presented but not too memorable. The space itself has a great vibe, nice place to sit and hang out for a bit. The cafe hours are also good, it's hard to find one that doesn't close at 2PM. The drinks really deliver and while the food could be a bit stronger, it's still a spot I'd come back to.

Every table I saw was covered in crumbs and sticky spots, I actually had to grab a napkin and wipe mine down myself because the staff was too busy hanging out behind the counter to care. The service is insanely slow. It took forever just to get a simple coffee, and when my Cole Turkey Stacker finally came out, it was such a letdown. The bread was dry and there was barely any meat on it--definitely not worth what they're charging. To make it worse, the ventilation in there is terrible. I walked out smelling like old, burnt fry oil and the smell is literally stuck in my clothes now. Between the bad food and the lack of basic cleaning, I'm definitely not coming back. There are way better (and cleaner) spots nearby.
