If you're looking for some seriously satisfying Creole comfort food, My Marie on Cherokee Street is the spot. I got the Creole shrimp with peas and rice plus a side of mac and cheese, and let me tell you, I left full and very happy. The Creole shrimp had the perfect amount of kick, packing in those spicy flavors without overpowering everything. The mac and cheese was creamy, rich, and exactly what I wanted on the side. And shoutout to my foodie friend for letting me snag a fish taco which was crispy, perfect with the coleslaw, and absolutely delicious. Definitely a place I'll be coming back to.

Delicious haitian food that reminds me of home. An absolute comfort restaurant for me here in St.Louis.

Get the seafood gumbo!!!I also enjoyed a side of Delicious fried ripe plantains (aka maduros in Spanish speaking countries). Both were soooo good. The complexity of flavor was breathtaking, I was not expecting so much seafood but also chicken and sausage. There really is no way to describe it outside of you just going there to get a bowl. Plantains were perfect, large cut and fried so they were the perfect consistency inside, melt in your mouth, but not at all oily. The attention to detail at this restaurant is much appreciated by me, I know it's been hard on restaurants with the pandemic and I've been having some disappointing interactions with restaurants lately, My Marie will be a go to from now on!

We're so happy to have a Haitian restaurant in town! And the food is delicious!! We were enjoying everything so much that I forgot to take pictures of our appetizers. We came in on a Saturday night. They were out of a couple of things, but it was the end of their day and was understandable. Alternate suggestions were made, and I ended up with a surprisingly delicious alternative to what I had planned to have. I ordered the marinade for an appetizer and two beef patties. The patties were some of the best I've had. I'd come back just for these. For my main meal, I ended up getting the beef riblets with jerk sauce on them. Oh. My. Word. The beef was so tender, and the sauce was delicious. I had plantains (green) and rice and peas for my sides. Their rice and peas was also so good! Also ordered at the table: jerk chicken, fried pork, beef stew, and legims. Everyone was pleased with their food and most of our group ordered the rice with black bean sauce and plantains (sweet) and loved them. The service was great, and we look forward to going back.

Let me say it for those in the back THE FISH TACOS!! So crunchy, this is everything you expect from a local Haitian spot.

My husband had been raving about this place forever, so I finally came in with him to give it a try. And I must say the food was delicious. It's a Jamaican spot with your typical Jamaican style foods. The service was OK; they look/seemed family owned. The restaurant is not very big, not good for large groups but there's always the to go option! We ordered the curry chicken, rice and peas and cabbage. All items were yummy.

Wow! One of the best meals I've had in St Louis. It took a while to get our food but it was well worth it. The goat was tender and so flavorful. Everything had amazing texture. The rice was perfectly cooked and the plantains were nice and crispy. The inside of the restaurant was homey and cozy. The chef was very nice and very proud of her food! If I lived closer I'd be here 3x a week at least!

Caribbean food is scarce in St. Louis, so I'm happy that we have a Haitian restaurant now, one that is female owned and operated! I enjoyed my oxtail, plantains, chicken patty and rice and peas. I will definitely be back to try more of their food.

Tried this small woman owned business for a late 2pm lunch on a Sunday. We were the only diners; a table was leaving when we came in. Some to-go orders were picked up, then a couple of guys sat to order. Ordered Caribbean coconut curry (with chicken, potatoes, bell peppers) with side of rice & beans and sweet plantains. Hubby got Seafood gumbo which was served with white rice. Son got jerk chicken with sweet plantains and mac & cheese. All was delicious, large portions and a good value. Chef Marie came out to check on us during out meal and chatted with hubby as he paid the bill. We'll return to try other dishes.

Delivery was first sign that this meal would be garbage.

Straight to garbage. Actually looks appetizing but the toughest, tasteless oxtails ever. Again, TOUGH. Ate the Mac and cheese just because I was hungry and it was the only edible part of meal. Red beans and rice, or what they pass for red beans and rice, went straight to garbage too after one spoonful.

Easily the best meal I've ever had. Steamed snapper, cabbage, rice n peas. Friendly service. See my review of a similar restaurant and you'd laugh.

But it's all good and we all smile through. Took my brother Sunday night while he was in town cause he lives in a less diverse area and craves city access to all the thing. As soon as he said let's get Jamaican I began craving a meat pie. Have mercy I love them! They ain't playing with the spice either so I keep drinks handy. Ended up ordering one meat pie and a bowl of the soup of the day. It was red bean soup he said. But wow the depth of flavors and textures, it should get a better name! Love it and happily ate it all! The meat pie took longer of course to come out and they weren't kidding it was hot! Loved it and shared a tiny bite (cut off) with bro whose eyebrows lifted in joy. He had the jerk chicken plate and ate every dang bit! I have had wings, goat curry, jerk chicken, curry chicken, rum punch and lots more on other visits and had always left happy & full. The folks who work here are good folks and enjoy seeing others enjoy the food they prepare. On nice days there are a few tables out front, good to sit there except at rush hour cause you are next to the street. They do a lot of to go service so you will see a steady stream of folks in and out.
