My date and I did not enjoy our meals. I ordered the fish tacos. The fish was chopped up so small that I had to ask if there was any fish in the tacos. Plus it was incredibly dry and without taste. Big speakers, a few green plastic covered tables, random guy in a recliner drinking a Heineken then later falling asleep.... all just kind of odd. They have three tables where you can sit and eat. It's definitely not the greatest vibe, but don't let that stop you from trying the food! The food was AMAZING! Definitely original. We were cautioned that the snapper is made to order and takes a while, but we weren't in a hurry. It seemed like the same woman taking our orders was also making the food. Once we got over the initial weirdness, though, I have nothing but good things to say. The woman running the place was insanely friendly -- she brought out our food and was very attentive to our needs (including telling me that I wasn't ordering enough food, like a caring mother). The food is no joke -- rich and flavorful. The jerk was legit spicy. The goat was tender and delicious. It was served in takeout containers -- no plates to be found. It's basically indoor street food. At the end of the meal, the owner/cook/cashier/server came out and chatted with us. She's super nice and we had a few laughs, which just made our experience even better. If you're looking for an uptight restaurant experience with excellent table service and all that jazz, you're not going to like this place. Wow, this place is truly something. The previous reviews really paint a tainted picture. I walked into this restaurant and literally walked into someone's living room. There were kids and grown adults watching a tv show and looked at me like I was intruding. I was baffled but gathered my confidence and walked straight ahead to the counter that looked like a play house. I stood there looking at the menu for a while before someone directed a girl about 13 years old to get up and take my order. I ordered jerk chicken (cash only) and the girl takes me payment and goes to the back. I immediately regretted ordering from this restaurant as I heard the microwave open and slam close about three times. Then another girl got up and went to the kitchen to help the first girl. The adults sat there and continued to watch tv. Finally, my microwaved food was ready and I was sent on my way with 1 jerk sauce (of course there was a charge for more).
