It's hard to find a truly delicious Smashburger in San Diego. So when the craving hits, you usually are stuck with the old standby locations that sometimes don't fully hit the spot. Enter Eat Crispy Burger, where the quality of the ingredients speak for themselves. They cook up fresh, never frozen 100% angus beef patties on their searing hot flat top grill, which gives the burgers a nice crispy edge. They also use buttery brioche buns and toast them to perfection. This is hands down the best burger I've had in San Diego. And we haven't even talked about their fries or onion rings, my gawd. The owner uses 100% avocado oil and you can tell the difference in crispness. The fries are seasoned perfectly and have a nice crunch, even after driving home with your to go order. The onion rings are panko breaded and hold up well the next day (as I just ate my leftovers for lunch). This is a tiny hole in the wall spot in Encinitas but have no fear they are expanding to other locations soon (hopefully with indoor seating). Do yourself a favor and RUN don't walk to this delicious family owned burger spot. 10/10 delicious read more

I think it's decent. Kind of a mix between in n out and shake shack. We had the regular burger, chicken sandwich, impossible burger and the chicken nuggets for kids. All were ok except the impossible burger. Besides that, It's not bad, but it's not great, overall a 3.5. read more

Crispy Burger is an over cooked very thin patty. In any other burger joint we would ask for our money back. Why an overcooked, juiceless burger is a thing I have no idea. But it's packed on a daily basis, from what I've seen anyway. It's crispy because all the delicious gat is cooked from a burger the size of a big mac patty read more

My husband and I stopped here in our way to San Diego. Best decision of the day!! We each had a double OG burger with an order of 50/50 onion rings and fries. MmmmmmmMmmmMmmm Very tasty, well seasoned, NOT your regular boring bun, grilled onions Almost like a homemade burger but better. Delicious patty with crispy edges omg. (Hence the name ) Try it!!!! You will love it. I promise! Thanks Crispy Fam!!! From Steve and Liz read more

Yes please! Quick and simple review here. Place was clean and staff was awesome. Love the local/family feel. Very friendly and helpful! Food was good. I'd definitely go back for a burger, but it did seem a little pricey For a small, thin, piece of meat. Meat was well cooked, just super thin. French fries were crispy and tasty. I'd go back for another all said and done. We got the double all American and single all American and then the kids sliders. Kids loved theirs. read more

The OG Double is Killer. The crispy patty is made from really fresh ground beef. You can see the little balls of meat in the refrigerated case before Bennjamin' smashes them on to the flat top to get those crispy edges on the patties. It kind of reminds me of a Fat Burger but without all that salt and grease, nice! They hooked me up with a big ole load of hot crunchy fries. I love that it's family run place and you can taste the pride of ownership in the OG "Ramsey" Burger. Ramsey is right to be proud of his burger design with the brioche buns, thousand island dressing, plenty of melty cheese to give it just the right taste. Way better than any corporate burger joint. This is the burger I've been looking for my entire life. Anytime from now on I crave a burger, if it's not a crispy burger I will surely be disappointed. The cheese was gooey and delicious. The meat is juicy and flavorful. The sweet carmelized onions perfectly accentuate the rest of the burger. The employees are very friendly and service is expedient. I only wish they had some seating, even outdoors, but I understand they are working with a small space. The price is also absolutely reasonable. Come to Eat Crispy Burger and support local businesses!! read more

It is what it says on the sign outside. The burger is crispy in the outside but juicy in the inside. This was a unique joint we discovered after the beach. Located next door to Starbucks. Had to give it a try. I enjoyed by burger bowl. There was a lot of lettuce that I couldn't finish. The burger meat was cooked perfectly and not overly dry or burned. The banana peppers and jalapeños gave my salad a kick to it. The cheese fries was yummy. There is a lot of onions on it. I prefer more cheese than onions. Overall it was good. read more

This place is sheer perfection. An amazing discovery. Who would have ever believed the world needed another hamburger chain...but, turns out, it DID. As far as we are concerned, every other hamburger stand out there might as well hang up their spatulas because there's a new girl in town and she goes by the name of Eat Crispy Burger. Not only is the food literally fantastic, the service is speedy, and the employees - and I mean ALL the employees - are super friendly, polite, helpful, patient, and well trained. Sometimes a place may have great food but lousy customer service. Or excellent customer service but mediocre food. Eat Crispy Burger has it all. We've been there twice and am eager for a third visit. Their beef patties are made to their own specifications, seasoned with their secret blend, smashed thin and fried to a mouth-watering, carmelized perfection. Soft, golden, brioche buns, melty cheese, and SUPER FRESH toppings. Generous portions of fries and onion rings, served hot and crispy. The impossible burgers are unbelievably delicious and you literally cannot tell that you are not eating beef. We ordered both (beef AND impossible burger) on both occasions and still don't know which we preferred. There really is no possible rationale to go anywhere else for a burger. That is for certain. Special shout out to Angela for being so helpful to us and to everyone else. She really takes the time to make you feel welcome and appreciated. Keep your eyes on this place. We predict they'll soon be everywhere - and every one of their solid 5-star ratings are very well deserved! ps... Note to management: please feel free to open another location ASAP in the Palm Springs / Palm Desert area! read more

Still good burgers. Still unempatgetic and truly capitalistic view of using the restroom. Makes me not want to spend my money here every time. Everyone has to pee. Let them. Stop being a jerk. It's not like you're in Escondido and the drug users are ruining your bathroom. It's Encinitas bruh. You're just a jerk. read more

This is the kind of family owned burger place that every town needs. Encinitas is lucky to have it. The burgers are made smash-burger style: thin, crispy, and juicy. My family all ordered OG style. I highly recommend it. We also ordered some of the crispy crazy fries. These are similar in preparation to the animal-style fries at other So-Cal burger joints people may be familiar with. Everything was delicious. The food was cooked hot and fresh. Whether you're a vacationer or a local, I highly recommend visiting. read more

Glad we found this delicious burger spot. We got almost everything on the menu. Hamburgers taste so fresh. Fries are so crunchy and seasoned, onion rings are huge and can actually taste the onion not just the breading. Last we had all 3 flavors of milk shakes, my favorite was the strawberry shake you can actually feel the small chunks of strawberries. I definitely recommend this place.
