My son and I come here every time we are doing business in the Carlsbad area(which is a lot)! The food is really worth it. My son says it's the best tasting burger he's had so far and I strongly agree. Yes, it's pricey but you are getting real meat patties and on top of that, you can taste the difference between this burger and a hodads burger. We are treated with kindness and great service and as a business owner, we love to see how the family works together! The customer service is very genuine and the place is kept clean. My favorite burger is the original OG single patty with pastrami! TALK ABOUT FLAVORS! We also like the butter finger/Oreo shake, it's BOMB! If you're ever in the area or from the area, we highly recommend you trying this place out. They also have breakfast sandwiches! We truly appreciate you all at Eat Crispy Burger!! We'll see you all again soon! Gel Tag San Diego Family read more

Third times the charm. We stumbled upon this spot because we were out of town visiting family and we had a yearning for a good smash burger. We saw this spot on Yelp and came about 30 minutes before closing. We expected to be met with a staff that was rushing to close but instead we were met by the owner himself behind the register giving us V.I.P. treatment. He explained the menu, introduced us to his family that was working the grill and proceeded to deliver our food to us himself. We had our 9 month old son with us that day and he made sure that he brought some water in a sippy cup without us asking. But now for the food. The bun was soft and toasted to perfection, the meat lace on the burger was remarkable, and the Oreo shake was delightful. Even the fries were light and crispy. We came a second time about 5 weeks later and the owner remembered us! Today will be my third time coming. It's official, this spot is now part of our family tradition. Run, don't walk, and enjoy this fantastic experience. read more

So bummed that this place isn't closer to us. We stopped by on our way home from San Diego and this place just blew us away. The customer service was 10/10 above and beyond service from this wonderful family owned business. You could tell they really cared and had pride for the food and the way they treat their customers. The food was amazing too! I tried the burger bowl and it was so good and full of flavor. You don't even miss the bread because the meat and cheese flavors just shines through. I love the jalapeños and yellow peppers, that was a nice combo. We also got a side of onion rings and fries, and both were very good, very crisp. The onion rings were hands down the best onion rings I've ever had as far as fast food goes (and they are very fast). No wonder why this place has 5 star ratings, they are amazing! read more

Such a great place! Came by after our Legoland trip. It's nearby, right off the freeway, quick family owned burger joint. Talk about customer service. The owner right away greets you, helps you with your order and get this, they actually say , " however you would like it." You don't hear that anymore because everything is "as is" or "no substitutes'. The owner Angela is a mama and knows what it is to be a real person giving real customer service! As for their food and menus, I love it, it's straight, simple and to the point. Prices are totally affordable especially for large families. We ordered 2 kids meals, sliders, and my kiddos were able to prepare them just the way they wanted it. We tried the american,, the og, and the chicken. Each one was crispy, fresh and excellent brioche bread. Their patties are not your typical fatty patty. They're thin, and crispy. You don't feel so bad after eating a crispy This will definitely be our Legoland stop each time. read more

Great burger! Parking lot same.. we had to wait for a spot... food was worth it! I would definitely recommend.

Stumbled upon Eat Crispy Burger one day when I-5 had backed up (at Leucadia Blvd). Best burger I've ever had! (OG Single) On my second visit I explored the burger with all the fixins, as well as great fries and onion rings. I think the simpler OG is still my favorite. made a point to compliment the owner and his wife (Ramsey and Angela), who work the restaurant, with other family. Very pleasant people! This is the only Eat Crispy Burger, though it seems well suited to expand as a franchise. Their food is terrific, the prices are fair, the place is very clean, and service outstanding. I live in the L.A. area, but will return when I return to the San Diego area.I highly recommend Eat Crispy Burger! read more

Wow!!! This place is your go to for fresh "fast food" for the family. The fries and onion rings are amazing! Nice and crispy and not too greasy. The smashed burgers are quite tasty! Even down to the condiments : all so fresh! The pickles on the burgers were so crispy! The Oreo milkshake was also delicious! What's not to love here? Gourmet and fresh fast food that your whole family will love!! read more

Amazinggggg burgers and fries. Literally cannot find one fault with either item! Friendly employees and reasonable pricing. What more can anyone ask for?! This is hands down the best smash burger in San Diego. If I could give this place 10 stars I would. The owners are very nice and the food is amazing. The cowboy is packed with an enormous amount of bacon and the bbq sauce is sweet and tangy. The og burger add raw onions is my overall favorite. The meat is salty and a tad sweet and it works! Need try chicken Sandwich next! read more

Here's the review written by my 12 year old son! My family and I drove down from LA to San Diego today, and after our dinner plans went wrong, as the place we were planning to go to was too busy, we were stuck. Driving down the freeway, we noticed bright lights, attracting us to EAT CRISPY BURGER! A family owned business which looked delicious, had a large menu with burgers, milkshakes, fries, and more, so my family had to get this. The food arrived fast, and it looked great! In what felt like 2 seconds, all of our food was gone, it was soooo good. After meeting and talking to the owner for a while, we knew we were eating at a nice, friendly restaurant too. In closing, my family concluded our trip with a fantastic and delightful meal, and we definitely recommend this restaurant to all burger lovers. :) read more

Ordered kids meals for my son's birthday party. They split them in half for me and it was perfect. Other parents at the party were asking me about it because they always do pizza or sandwiches. We got a variety of chicken nuggets, grilled cheese and cheese burgers. Portions were big and included fries. Super easy and good food. Grownup burgers are good too. read more

Bottom line: This is the kind of place you eat at twice in one vacation. The guests around us who were eating there for the first time, like us, were also amazed. My son said quietly, "This is better than In-N-Out." Come at me. He's 1,000% right. Three of us got the double OC. The smash burgers were done just right on the griddle. Crispy edges. Melty gooey cheese. Sweet chopped onions. Nice, soft bun. The onion rings crunched so loud, it was ridiculous. I HAD to get the Ding Dong shake for the nostalgia. It was great. Not too sweet, not cloying at all, and not too thick to enjoy. Best of all, the customer service from this family business is beyond worthy of your support. It's my bad that I didn't catch the proprietor's name. She took such amazing care of us from start to finish. My only regrets are that I don't live near Encinitas, and that the ranch didn't taste homemade. Oh, and apologies for lack of pics... we ate too fast. read more

Nothing fancy, just good - great food & friendly service. I walked in at about 1PM and most seats were taken (it's a really small place). I had the All-American single patty w pastrami added plus a side of onion rings + fries. Everything was delivered to my table in about 6 minutes and gone in about another 6 minutes. ;) Game changer that would get me to give this 5 stars would be if they made their own condiments. read more

This place is great! I think for take out, it's the best burgers in the area. My boyfriend and I love to try out new food in every place we live or visit and this spot has been our favorite since we moved to the area. The customer service is also great! Just got back from this spot. I was actually headed home (Chula Vista) from a visit in Encinitas. While I was at the stoplight about to turn to I-5-South, I saw the sign "Eat Crispy Burger" before the light turning green, crossed over and drove into this little spot. Upon entering, I was greeted by staff and welcomed me in. Since this was my first time, I asked the cashier what their specialty was and replied it was the "OG" crispy burger. I went with the double patty, 1/2 fries 1/2 onion rings option and a fountain drink. Location was great as it was right off the I-5 in the corner of Leucadia Blvd and Orpheus Avenue. Place is small but had some chairs inside and a few tables and chairs outside. There is a Starbucks to the left of the store and a flower shop on the right. Small parking maybe an issue but I was able to find a spot right away. It was on Tuesday around 12:15PM. I was pleasantly surprised of how well their bathroom was designed and very clean. Need a code to get in or the cashier can let you in. The "OG" burger was on point. I loved the crispy edges of the burger and the brioche bun was soft and tender. Onion Rings and fries were cooked to perfection with the light batter and having an ice cold soda topped it off. Not cheap but well worth it as my meal was just under $20 and do like to support small business owners. I definitely enjoy a good burger and this place will not disappoint and I highly recommend if your in the area. I'm pretty sure I'll be back again :) read more

I recommend everything about this little burger joint. I am SO thankful I happened to see this place driving near a Starbucks after a day at the park with my kids. The service was top notch and I am very hard to please so let me just say that says something. Come to find out it's the owner and she is the most friendly, helpful, kind lady. You really don't get good service anywhere anymore. On to the food, oh boy! What can I even say after the great service... A-M-A-Z-I-N-G!!! I have never had a burger this good in MY life! Yes, it was that good. It was everything a burger should be on every way. You taste the amazing delicious meat seasoned to perfection and the melted cheese that brings it out and the freshness of the veggies. WOW. I was in such burger heaven I went back again today. Mind you myself and my niece were there last night. I had to have my sister get on this asap! Ha. Please love me nice owner lady because I am coming back more often than I should, damn it!
