Well, I haven't been here in a few years because of traveling but had delivery about a month ago and remembered how much I liked it, great burgers, great rings... fries are OK. But what I loved about this location is it had a couple little tables outside and a couple inside she could actually eat your food as it comes off the grill. Well for some reason that has all changed and there are just two chairs which didn't really feel right eating my lunch there so I brought it home and suffered the not right off the grill taste. I'm sure there's a reason, but the burger was still great and it's still on my list for one of the good ones down here. Update, the owner who's a wonderful woman told me the reason that there is no inside dining is a city issue not her choice. That's a great owner to write a Yelper like me and explain why there is no dining options available not her just a city ordinance thank you very much read more

The self ordering kiosk here is painfully slow. Worst I've experienced anywhere. And what made it worse was one of the workers just chilling instead of helping to take orders. There were only two workers when we were there, so it's not exactly fast good even though it's burgers. The burgers were good, but I wouldn't come back though; no one has time for that. read more

We came here this morning for breakfast. Ordered: 1) all American burger x 4 - messy but tasty 2) mushroom grilled burger - good 3) crispy fish burger, only $4.99 on Friday, I was thinking it would be a large flat size fish patty but instead it was maybe 4 small sticks of fried fish, not the best way of having a fish sandwich 4) vanilla shake - good 5) large fries - tastes great read more

My kid is a smash burger connoisseur, and Crispy Burger tops the list of crispiest, most delicious burger in the area. For a spot that's kind of inconveniently located without any seating, Crispy Burger is poppin! Very busy, and the man on the grill didn't stop smashing burgers the entire 20 minutes we were in there. The menu is extensive and very customizable. Not in the mood for a burger? No problem. There's also egg breakfast sandwiches served all day. No seating was a little annoying, but it was a great excuse to trunk picnic at the beach. We'll be back for sure. read more

Best thing here were the onion rings. Burger was good, but expensive. I ordered a single mushroom and Swiss burger. I missed texture...wish it had some crisp lettuce or some crispy onions or something. The real downer was no seating here. If I'm paying that much for a burger, I expect a seat. I don't think I'd come back. Seemed like they do mostly online orders. read more

Always fresh food. They are a small take out place. Good onion rings and pretty good fries. Service is always good.

It's a small burger joint with a self ordering kiosk. The lady behind the counter was nice and helpful. I ordered a kids meal with 2 little sliders and fries because I wanted a little snack before I went out to dinner. 7/10. Sliders were good and Fries were crispy. I also ordered onion rings. 5/5 they were over cooked. I'd come back to give them a second chance since the lady behind the counter was nice. read more

Went by for some lunch, staff were nice and the food came out quick. The OG double burger: Really rich, greasy, well seasoned. Almost falling apart from all the fats, exactly what you expect from a burger. 4/5 1/2 fries and onion rings: Fries looked to be coated in a batter, which had a different texture than straight fried potatoes. The onion rings, near perfect. 5/5 All American single: Rich like the OG, but the vegetables, and acid from the condiments and pickles balance it out. From the two I prefer the American more 5/5 Overall I'd come back again read more

This place is freaking awesome if you like a good smashburger (ME!!). First of all, they are so friendly here. I was with someone that was super picky and they were super patient and accomodating, and made their pastrami burger exactly how they wanted (turned out really good actually). I had the OG double burger: 9/10. Well seasoned and juicy. Have also tried the All-American single which I usually get, but wanted to go out of my comfort zone with the OG. I love this burger! read more

Ordered online, stopped by to grab it to go. The parking lot is a bit challenging with the coffee drive thru. The burger was great!! Gluten free bun was great too. AND NO UP CHARGE FOR GF!! Not sure if it was because of all of the stuff on the burger but it was great. They had an advertisement on the door for a double cheeseburger for $3.99; which I didn't see on the online ordering platform. I would definitely go back! read more

Amazing experience here. The food was amazing and seemed to be high quality. The service was phenomenal, I am definitely coming back here.

Why is this place called crispy burgers, should be mushy burgers. Way over rated and how. My son didn't even eat his burger after one bite, he will eat at all cheap fast food burgers, I have never seen him not eat a burger. Meat is whatever, cheese sucks, fries boring. Staff was nice. Don't review on ambience, but none. Oh and it's a Pepsi place enough said, they do have coke in a can, have you ever been to a coke place and they have Pepsi in a can, nope because coke is what makes the meal complete. Don't go been passing this place for a long time always thinking about trying it but my own tuition was keeping me from a bad experience. This place is a chain, crazy. Really makes San Diego look bad read more

Talk about an amazing burger joint! I had the 2025 deal at Crispy Burger to start off the new year, and it was the best ever! Mouth watering, perfectly cooked double on a brioche bun, with cheese! The sauce and onions are fire! The burger is like a smash burger and In N Out combined but a million times better! The fries and ranch dressing were delicious too! The staff were working so fast and so friendly! They were amazing! Can't wait to visit the Oceanside location when it opens! read more

Some friends of mine insisted on bringing me here even though I'm not a big burger guy and I absolutely see why now. I love that they have Impossible Burgers as an option. To be honest, I had no idea what a crispy burger was. Apparently they roll the meat into a ball and smash it down for cooking. Honestly I thought that the idea of thousand island dressing on a burger sounded strange but I decided to go with it and end up loving it. It was delicious and obviously unlike any burger I'd had before. They also cook the fries in avocado oil, which was also something I hadn't experienced before (but also loved). This is a very small place where you just grab your food and go. We got our burgers and ate them at the nearby beach. I loved my meal from here and would absolutely be a regular if I lived around here. read more

The most mid hamburger that doesn't even taste like a hamburger. I got the OG after a friend of ours said it was a place to check out. We all thought it was very mildly tasting. My friend who got the crispy chicken sandwich said it taste like something she got from Carl's Jr. Mine doesn't even taste like a burger. It tastes like a meat patty sandwich. Thank God, I added jalapeños because without that this thing would have no taste. $18 with fries is a huge rip off. Not going back. read more

I loved these thin patty burgers, not salty, and the bun is so soft and has a hint of sweetness to it, the grilled onions have a subtle crunch. Definitely would come back, not a local so this is a gem if you live near by try it out. The fries and onion rings were perfectly cooked to the right about of crispness. The employees Offer you an option for thousands island or ranch or both, tried both and they seem home made, very good. No seating area, just take out. read more

One of my favorite burger places in the area. Very tasty smashburgers. I have had both the OG and the All-American and both were delicious! Fries and Onion rings were both good. With this location there is no place to sit and eat though last time i was there. So have to find a place to take it to be able to enjoy it. read more

I enjoyed my lunch meal at Eat Crispy. The crispy burger was very tasty with a good bun that did not fall apart. Onion rings stayed crisp, and the strawberry milkshake had real strawberries. Love Crispy Burger! There burgers are super tasty. We make it a point to make a stop here every time we visit. It's a true take-out joint so don't expect seating. Highly recommend this burger if you're in the area!! It tastes very similar to Shake Shack, but a much bigger portion. The buns are soft brioche buns and the patties are perfectly cooked, smashed, and crispy. Also the regular fries is a HUGE portion, definitely perfect for sharing with a family. The service was so nice and you can tell they really care about their customers. There are no tables inside of the restaurant, so be warned that this isn't a sit-down place! Next time, I would probably be content with just a single burger because it's so big. And I would also add jalapeños to the OG for some additional spice. Will definitely be coming back! read more

I found myself down in Kearny Mesa one bright sunny San Diego day (they all tend to be bright/sunny) when the tummy began to bark at me. He was starting to get mean to. A quick Yelp search for eateries was my next move. Now, if you know San Diego, you will know that the Kearny Mesa area is most well-known for its incredible Asian cuisine. There are numerous tasty Japanese, Korean, Chinese, and more and I honestly do not think I have ever eaten at a "bad" spot down there! On this day however...I simply was not feelin the Asian persuasion. I do not usually crave a burger but today was not usual. Lo and behold, up on my screen yelped a highly regarded burger joint called, "Eat Crispy Burger". Also not usual to find an eatery that has a name which literally commands you to eat. I replied to my screen, "OK...OK! I got it! Crispy Burgers is going to get a shot at the big time today!" A quick call home revealed that my two younger kids were also hungry so I got there order as well. It was at this time I noticed they have several franchises open around the county and I reckoned it would be better to drive to my home city and hit up the local "Eat Crispy Burgers" right there in Oceanside. About 2/3 of the way home I noticed my gas light was on and a glance to the gas monitor revealed absolutely nothing left in my tank. It was reading 0!!! As fast and safe, as I could, I did a 4 Lane change on the I-5 exiting in Leucadia. I made it to the Chevron and filled up. As I made my way back toward the freeway once again, out of the corner of my eye a sign glimmers. It read, wouldn't you know..."Eat Crispy Burgers". I had discovered there Encinitas store. I was not going to wait for another sign...this was amazing! I ran inside, threw down my order. She was a friendly gal but when I retold my story that I just told to you above, she did not share in my jubilee! Hmmm. One less star! I am kidding. She was all business and she took my order, offered me a Butterfinger shake (I am a total sucka for shake! I finally made it home and distributed the goods. Kids loved their slider meal. (Think kid's meal but with sliders or mini-burgers (2)). My teen daughter ordered the original burger combo and equally enjoyed it. (She did stop herself from saying it was the best she's had). I had the "Cowboy Combo". Bacon, melted cheese and onion rings on the double patties and let me tell you something Pard'na. Yes Haw!!! good stuff, however, like my teenager, as much as I enjoyed it, I am not a HUGE fan of the smashed style of burger. Fries by the way? Crispy which you can never get, even when you order them "extra crispy, please?" Still limp! Not at this spot though! Crispy they claim and crispy they are!!! This is Greene...enjoy! read more

With the stress of moving in between LA and San Diego, finding a good place for a break can be a challenge. I decided to stop by based on a suggestion from a friend, and I do not regret this decision at all. I stopped by a little early just around opening, and the kind woman at the counter switched up the menu for me to view what was available for lunch. I don't even remember what I ordered, but what I can say is that it was AMAZING. Maybe it was partly the customer service and me being hungry, but it's a really well-made burger, and the onion rings were just right. Some places will cut the rings to super thick slices which will end up breaking up the breading, but these were perfect. This location is a ways out from where I live, but I'm definitely going to stop by when I head back to LA again. Give them a try. You won't be disappointed. read more

On my way to San Diego, I saw a van from this restaurant. So I looked on Yelp and on my way home I stopped by. The restaurant is small and there is no seating. When I pulled up it was very busy. I ordered and waited for my OG burger and rings and fries. Lots of people came in , so I was thinking the food must be great. I ordered a single patty. With it being a smashed burger that was a mistake. The bun overpowered the burger. I think they should start with two pattys and then you can add to it I was disappointed in the onion rings. They were just okay and I felt the same way about the fries. read more

Tonight I attempted to place an order for pick up- I'm pregnant, in a rash, and haven't eaten in about 5ish hours. I called simply trying to place a pick up order and get a BREIF run down about it what options they have on their menu! For some reason I'm not allowed to call and ask about a quick 1,2,3 I was met with "since you haven't looked at our menu it's a lot to go over, but you can get whatever you want" tone and demeanor was very rude and speaking as if they were very busy- too busy to answer questions. Mind you I called 3 other burger places before that were TOO BUSY TO EVEN ANSWER THE PHONE. Not once was a "deal/combo" even explained. I have never been to this establishment and most likely never will! Thank you for nothing! read more

Saw the Yelp Reviews and said- why not give them a try! The service was great! Friendly and took order quickly. We also received our food fast. There is 0 seating or tables so you'll have to eat in your car or take it to go. Now- the burger was good, but not the best I've ever had. The onions dominated the thousand dressing. Ask for extra dressing for your burger if you'd like. The fries were super crispy and delicious. If you're hankering for a good smash burger head here and give them a try! read more

Delicious!!!! I finally tried this place after seeing it recommended many times on the San Diego Celiacs FB group. And I was blown away! My burger was absolutely delicious, crispy and wonderful and I definitely could not tell it was gluten free. I had my husband try a piece of mine and he said it was just as good as the gluten burger. They took celiac precautions and changed gloves and had a separate fryer for gluten free items, my only complaint was that they didn't bag my order separately, which is an extra step to help prevent cross contamination. The fries were seriously some of the best fries I've ever had. The crisp on them was absolute perfection. Not too salty and just the right amount of flavor. There's no place to dine inside so we took our burgers to Moonlight Beach and enjoyed the view. We'll definitely be back. read more

2nd time here. My hubby did take out. It was super busy and she gave us fries instead of onion rings. She gave us both which is nice. I will say that this time the after taste of the oil isn't there. That's great. But my hubby ordered a chicken sandwich and a beyond burger. I'm pretty sure a beyond burger doesn't taste like a chicken sandwich and it doesn't look like chicken. The chicken patty to bun ratio was off. The chicken kinda got lost in the bun. The onion rings were better this time. This coating was crispy. I have had this place bookmarked for a while and I finally tried it and was very impressed. It's to go only so grab some food and hit the beach down the street for a nice sunset view. I saw several other crispy burger bags in the trash at the beach which tells me others know what's up! My boyfriend got the triple all American style and I got the OG double. I liked both but mine was better. We also shared the crispy crazy fries which were like animal style but better. We had so many leftovers too and the prices were decent compared to other spots.
