Four stars, not because of the food. It's hard to tell. Because we walked in and we ordered and then after that realized that there was no place to sit so we would have to drive home, 15 minutes away, in order to start eating. I think that would've been five stars if we could've eaten it right there and then. And let me warn you it is way too messy to eat in the car. So I guess the curb is the best way to go. But being an older gentleman, my curb days are way over. we ordered the single and the double so that my wife and I could split it and see which we like better. They were both delicious but had to be microwaved before we could eat them so four stars because we couldn't really try them beforehand. We ordered the cooked onions and the raw onions, but never got the raw onions. Which is also very disappointing. Would we do it again? My wife says no. And I have to agree. Even after 15 minutes, it was a cold burger. And microwaving restaurant food is not my idea of a good time. But I am absolutely sure if we could've sat down and ate it fresh it would probably be five stars. My wife agrees with that. We didn't take pictures and maybe we should have. They looked fine. I would've been better with raw onion and eaten fresh. My wife is mentioning the shredded lettuce makes everything messy. I heard a about this place on YouTube as the must eat places of some YouTuber. And I've been looking forward to it for a long time. As a sidenote, there's a Starbucks right next-door. When I figure out there was no place to sit and eat I ran over to Starbucks to ask if I bought a coffee if my wife and I could eat our burgers there. And the Starbucks had no table or chairs either. So that's that. Wish I would've bought their fries to try them but then again they would've been cold in 15 minutes and I would've needed to air fry them or microwave them. So 4 Stars is the best I can do. I wish I would've read the reviews. The reviews do mention that there are no table and chairs. And then I just would've waited for them to get tables and chairs. :-( But they were very nice. And attentive and it's a shame. read more

MORE MEAT! Stop being selfish! Maybe charge half the amount if you are gonna have the fixings have more weight than the actual patty.

Good, easy place to grab dinner. The burgers are made quickly and loaded with all the fix-ins. Milkshakes are good as well. Quick service for walk up orders. read more

The burger were pretty tasty. The burger i got was just greasy and a little messy. Besides that, everything was good

We enjoyed their OG burger, The cowboy crispy burger, and Monster Breakfast sandwich. As someone who is not too into burger, I was impressed by the quality and deliciousness of what I tasted. Even my picky eating nephew gave it a thumbs up. That says it all. No seating, only take out. But it is worth the trip if you are craving for some juicy meaty burgers and crispy fries or onion rings. read more

This place is everything! We ordered the cowboy burger with impossible meat and ordered another one with regular beef. And then we ordered their sausage egg breakfast sandwich, bacon egg and cheese sandwich, pastrami breakfast sandwich. We added hashbrowns in all the breakfast sandwiches! (That's a MUST!) Anywho when I tell y'all it was so seasoned and the patties were so thin and crispy and the bun buttered to PERFECTION! My family and I were so impressed with all of their food. We had it one night from doordash and it came so fresh so we had to get it again the next day to bring it back home because we don't have anything like this where I am! so...can y'all please come to the IE please we're coming back when we're back in Encinitas! Definitely recommend! read more

The food looked and smelled amazing but unfortunately my family couldn't eat here because there was no seating and we are from out of town so we couldn't just take it with us (also a little too cold and breezy to eat at a park). We were told that the city ordered them to remove all their outdoor seating and counter stools and apply for a permit for that - the Starbucks next door also had no seating so it appears they're in the same predicament. We'll definitely be back though. The burgers and fries looked so good and I truly feel bad for this establishment since they can't help this mess the city made. read more

Food, service and ambience are absolutely satisfying to the tastebuds as well to the budget conscious. It's a winner for me!!

Excellent!!! Best burger I've had in years. Highly recommend the OG. Service was nice.

Delicious!!! If there is a burger place to eat at it's definitely here. I drove all the way from the OC to try this place and when I'm in the area I come here as well. Located in a little strip plaza next to Starbucks this place serves great smash burgers. From the OG to the All-American and even to their burger salad...everything ok this menu tastes great! The fries and onion rings are good as well and the food mist be enjoyed right after you get it. The Pattie's are smashed and cooked with nice crunchy edges full of flavor. The sauce pairs with the vegetables well and the cheese adds another tasteful element that makes your tummy feel happy. Also, the service is great. The owner is such an awesome person and super helpful and patient. There is usually a line for this place but your order comes out pretty quickly because they are working non-stop. The vibe is great here and people are just smiling to get their burger fix. I know I did! So eat some crispy burgers! read more

This is a nice and small family business. One of the owners was ringing us up and seemed very bubbly and friendly. I thought the burger itself was grilled perfectly and so delicious! The prices were decent, STILL cheaper than five guys right now! I got the single and thought it was still packed with food. Their fries and onion rings were on point too. They have both indoor and outdoor seating as well. Will be coming back when I'm craving a burger! read more

Noticed this place when in the area and decided to check it out to bring dinner home. From the moment I walked in, the staff was friendly and welcoming. We put in our to-go order of some OG burgers, an OG with pastrami and the Cowboy burger. Man oh man...it was on when we got home to devour these burgers! Quite possibly in my top 3 favorite burgers in San Diego. read more

Hands down the best burger in North County! My go to now above all others, including specialty burgers or staples like In 'N Out.

You don't have to wonder why this place gets the ratings it does and even if they didn't, well, come visit and you will see why. First is the name, "Eat Crispy Burger"; Then comes the warm and attentive service, making sure you are greeted and helpful hints of food suggestions for a better choice to fit your liking; Now comes the promptness of the food pickup, because Lord knows how people get when they're "hangry" ....Last but not least, the taste of a good ole' grilled burger, crispy fried and onion rings. Don't come in expecting an overcompensated menu. It's just a small and humble, family owned burger joint that cares and puts heart and service into their business. Kudos to Angela and her family. Thank you for the good chat and the wonderful service. They represent what good good and good service should be. read more

This place has been around for 2 years. The five-star rating is 100% accurate and has to do with their customer service and consistency of their food. If you want a great smash burger this place is legit. If you want it cooked medium they can do that as well which is the way I like it. The Original OG Double Is my go-to with caramelized onions and cheese. Their crispy crazy fries are great as well. They also serve breakfast, in my opinion they have the best breakfast sandwiches around. It's just west of the 5 freeway off Leucadia Blvd & Orpheus Ave, Encinitas, CA 92024. read more

Tasty burger. Quick service. Decent location. Parking is tough. Why do I need to say more?

Stopped here with my daughter to try it out for lunch one day. Super happy that we did, as the food was absolutely delicious! Daughter got the kids chicken nuggets and absolutely demolished them! The serving size was quite large and they were cooked to perfection! I got the OG double patty burger. The grilled onions and cheese were a wonderful combination with the soft bun! Ordered an Oreo milkshake as well for the kid, a little surprised at the 8.99 price point for this but ultimately it was worth the experience all around. Happy to say we'll be going back as a family to eat at this hidden little spot more often! read more

Excellent burgers! This place is worth the stop. The Ding Dong Milkshake was yummy! We visited with the owner and he is planning to open three more soon. I hope he is extremely successful as their burgers are amazing. We had the All American and OG double burgers and they were both delicious. We will definitely return when we are in the area. Best of luck for success as you expand to open more stores. read more

Loved this place. Decided to drop by on the way to SD for a concert and honestly I wasn't disappointed. The burgers were flavorful and filling, loved that I could add an egg to mine. I also got the Crazy fries and its like In & Out Animal Style fries. I think they might be better. read more

I got the OG burger with the double patty and it wasn't very good at all. This place is so well rated and talked about I was surprised at how blah the burger was. Oreo shake was not great either, just tasted like vanilla. Two stars are because they do have rather good fries. I hope I just caught them on a bad day, they did seem very busy and still had quick service which is great. read more

Our curiosity was piqued as we drove by and saw the sign for this place. I did a u-turn and boy was I glad I did. Food: A+ (wife got the impossible All American; I got the OG double and crazy fries) Atmosphere: A+ (small space but perfect for quick dining and grab-n-go) Family friendly: A+ (weird thing to review about but the operator there gave my 4 year old son a drawing tablet to play with while we waited and that was just above and beyond anything we see around here) Thank you so much for a great first experience tonight. Food was delicious. We are coming back 100% read more

We were in the mood for a good burger so we decided to check out this place. Highly rated and we definitely understand why. I got the Cowboy Burger which was delicious. Definitely reminded me of a Double Western at Carl's Jr, but definitely better. My girlfriend got the original Crispy single burger and she really enjoyed it as well. it was a lot of bun for the single patty but she didn't mind as there was so much flavor. We also got half fries/half onion rings which were fried just right. Great flavor. To finish off our meal I got the Ding Dong Milkshake. Unfortunately it was such a hot day that the shake melted by the time I finished my burger. All in all, this place is great. I would definitely eat there again. I would have given the place 5 stars but there's no place to sit down so we had to eat in our car which was a pain in the ass when you want to eat a messy burger. Food is great though. Highly recommend read more

My favorite burger in SD. Can't wait for the new locations to open. Juicy flavorful smash burger!!

Just WOW! The burgers are sooooo good!! Hands down some of THE BEST burgers me and my boyfriend have tried. We're from Orange County and came down to Encinitas to run some errands and needed some food. We found this place on yelp with only about 500 reviews but all 5 stars. We decided we would give it a chance. Upon arrival we were surprised to find a small takeout-only restaurant. Apparently the city took away their seating and they are currently asking for signatures on a petition to get a permit granted for indoor seating. Me and my boyfriend happily signed and just ate in our car right in the front. & omg they were perfectly made! There is more than enough parking here, and even though we're not from the area, we hope their petition is successful!(: read more

I wish there was a space to eat, but other than that the whole experience was incredible. The staff was super nice and helpful.....and the food was AMAZING. The best burger we have ever had and fantastic onion rings and fries. We sat in our car and ate. Parking is tricky because of the Starbucks drive-thru but it's 100% worth it.
