I (and my aging knees) hired Easy Peasy for my 1 bedroom move from SF to Hayward. Booking was super easy, communication was always clear, and they even accommodated a last-minute reschedule on my part! Pricing, while expensive, was very reasonable for the area and they were transparent about rates. (And they accepted digital payments, so convenient!) On the day, the two guys were RIGHT on time. Max and Gary were very professional all around and incredibly polite. They called me the night before to confirm. They contacted me when they were almost there to let me know they were coming. They were calm, and Max was an excellent communicator and talked to me about each decision about the packing. They wrapped an antique glass-fronted, hand carved display armoir so well- I was very impressed, and it had been in the family for generations. They were moving my elderly mother and they were so gentle and polite while she kept trying to chat with them and tell them stories about the things they were packing and moving. They were flexible and accommodated a stop at our storage unit. We drastically underestimated the amount of work required when we pitched the job. (Mom wanted to bring a LOT more stuff than we had initially discussed). They unloaded everything and took extreme care with our belongings. Did a long distance move with this company. They were able to negotiate the price which was a plus. It was confirmed we did not have to tip twice since we hired them to help us pack first day and drive to deliver our furniture, etc the second day. However, after items were all packed, the lead demanded a tip in front of all the workers, even though we were told by coordinator Alex we didn't need to tip the first day, just tip when everything was moved into our home the second day. The guys who packed our items were hard working and mostly did a good job, but I didn't like being pressured and put on the spot. I also don't agree that they went back on their word. I didn't have the cash to tip since my husband took the cash to the drop off location, but the lead pressured me to send money to his Zelle for tip. I ended up doing that, but was totally caught off guard and thought that was very unprofessional. Second, some of my furniture from dining table and chairs got scratched. I had asked them to wrap the dining table and chairs before loading the truck but the lead said he would just stack it. I didn't feel comfortable with that but he didn't want to do it. When I got my chairs placed in new home they looked worse than before with even more scratch marks :( Third, when I arrived at new home where a second group of workers unloaded our items, I noticed many of our boxes were left in the garage. I wasn't there to direct them that day, but most of the boxes had previously been labeled, so they should have known which bedroom to unload them in. My brother ended up helping me move the boxes from the garage to the rooms upstairs, which was extra work for us and should have been done by the movers. I emailed this company after we were settled from the move to address my concerns but they never got back to me. The workers who helped me pack were great, I do appreciate their hard work. However, I won't recommend this moving company for long distance moves due to the reasons I listed above. read more

It's never fun to change a positive review, but unfortunately my second experience with this company was bad enough to warrant it. My first experience was positive, so I reached out to book another move. Alex, the office manager, was very slow to respond to my messages on Yelp for another quote, and he tried to push me to use three movers instead of two, even though I had just completed the same move less than a year ago with just two movers (and under the three hour limit). Despite the slow response, I was finally able to call and book an appointment, and I received a text message as confirmation for my move. Unfortunately, my bad experience started right from the start on move day. I was given a window of 2pm to 3pm for my move. The clock hit 2:45pm and nobody had showed up yet, so I got a bit nervous and called. Alex said they had no mention of me on the calendar, despite our confirming over text. I was obviously very frustrated and also nervous because we had to move that day. Alex said the best they could do was a 4:30pm arrival, which was acceptable to me because I really didn't have any other options. The movers did arrive at 4:30pm, but they seemed extremely irritated about having to do another move. Upon arrival (more than two hours past my original schedule), they were non-apologetic and frankly rude. The first thing they insisted was for something to drink. I was a little frustrated because I was already behind schedule, but I also wanted to be accommodating of them so I provided 4x of water bottles, Spites, and Coke Zero. They spent around 20 minutes taking a break from their previous move with the beverages before starting to work. Of the two workers, one of them (who didn't speak English) worked very diligently. The other, who spoke English, unfortunately spent a ton of time on his phone and was working very slowly. At one point, he even paused to talk on the phone for about 10 minutes to try to sell an item on Craigslist while the non-English speaker continued to work. He was also being really rude and giving a ton of attitude to me the entire time. About an hour into the move, I noticed a large pool of liquid underneath the moving truck spilling onto my driveway! I alerted the movers, and they spent about 15 minutes opening up the hood of the truck and diagnosing the problem! They discovered it was a coolant leak (which they told me had occurred on the same vehicle multiple times in the past), but they stated that they had enough in the reservoir to at least finish the move. They obviously didn't care enough to clean any of the fluid left on my driveway. I was even more frustrated at the time spent trying to fix the car, and I became concerned about the reliability of the truck, but they did eventually make it to my new home. As they were unloading, I asked the movers to please be very careful with the desks as the paint and house was brand new. The English-speaking mover retorted in a very rude manner, "we move multiple desks every single day, we know what we are doing!" With nearly comedic timing, he actually proceeded to slam the desk right into my brand new door, leaving a big gash. I cannot accuse him of doing it on purpose, but I was beyond frustrated at that point. The absolute worst part was at the end of the move, instead of apologizing for an absolutely terrible move, he tried to charge me for the over 30 minutes they spent hydrating on my provided beverages, as well as fixing their vehicle! I was simply stunned, especially after he had just damaged my door. In summary: 1. Despite text confirmations, I was never added to their calendar. 2. They arrived over two hours late. 3. They spent over 30 minutes resting, and fixing their vehicle, and tried to charge me for it! 4. The English-speaking mover was incredibly rude to me. 5. The English-speaking mover spent a large amount of time on his phone, selling items on Craigslist. 6. They damaged my door, despite my requests to please be careful. My roommates, who were moving the next week, immediately cancelled their appointment and went with another company who did a much better job. Avoid this company! read more

East Peasy movers were fantastic. We hired 3 movers Yera, Aktan and Dauren. They let me know they were arriving 5 min late and then when they arrived at the new place. They were very polite and efficient. Not to mention, they were very smart. We had so much stuff for a one bed apartment- so it was very helpful that they stacked boxes really well. They also arranged boxes and furniture in a way I could move around them and find what I need. They asked where to place things and if they could walk on my carpet with shores on. They were extremely careful with out belongings and the building. So I'd give a 5 star plus to them if I could. Manager prepared COI (required by my condo) on a very short notice. He communicated pretty well. The only thing I was not really happy about was having to left a few things behind because it didn't fit in the truck. We don't recommend these movers at all. We showed our 3 bedroom house over a video call to Max where he got a chance to look at all our rooms and our furniture in each room. He gave an estimate of 7 hours. So we finalized them on an hourly basis and fixed the time at 10 AM. On the day of move, They didnt showup until 10:30 AM. 3 movers came and started working very slowly. One of them was dead slow. We asked them multiple times to do it fast but they were doing at their own pace and took their own sweet time. We already packed everything in boxes. They took 6 hours just to load already packed boxes into truck and to uninstall furniture. They then disappeared for 3 hours and showed up at the destination after 3:20 hrs. When asked for reason, they said that they had a break for 30 mins and started to destination but they were stuck in traffic jam which is unbelievable. We both started at the same time and I reached destination in 1 hr 10 mins in my car. After reaching destination, they unloaded boxes into garage and just installed one king sized bed. They charged for 14 hrs in total which is $2450 plus additional $200(This was not mentioned in the contract) for overweight item. When we asked for details on the overweight item, they were saying that sofa was very heavy. If they are really experienced movers, I expect them to know the basics on how to uninstall the 2 seater recliner sofa. My previous movers seperated my recliner sofa into 2 seperated chairs and moved. I was surprised that they dont even know that and hence moved the whole sofa as a whole and charged 200$ extra. After 1 hr of discussion, they reduced the total job to 12 hours which is still 5 hours more than what they have estimated. They intentionally came late, took 6 hours for loading so they can start in peak time and charge for double time. After a lot of discussion they reduced 2 hours but still it was way over the estimate. They also damaged one of the furniture(Gods house) and scratched the door in my new home. From my whole experience, these guys are very untrustful. They give you less quote to first attract customers and get business. If contract is on hourly basis, they send unexperienced movers and take their own sweet time to delay the move and charge for double the hours of what they estimated. We had a very bad decision of hiring these movers. We don't want any others to get cheated by these guys and hence writing this review. read more
