Delivery did not go the smoothest as my one point of criticism. I talked directly to Tim about it so my complaint wasn't blown off or anything like that. Pro tip: know in advance what direction you want your spa cover lift to go and which direction you want your service panel to go. Go through the manual's installation manual to make sure all steps have been done including closing a drain port in the motor. You're gonna have a bad time if someone decides for you or forgot a step.

The tech showed up and confirmed that he was testing for air leaks in our pump. Then he realized he didn't have the right size gasket for our brand of pump, so he couldn't perform the test. He assured us we wouldn't be charged for the $150 service call. About an hour later, I realized the charge had appeared on our bank statement. My husband called and left a message - but the owner called ME back instead. The guy was a complete jackass to me over the phone. He kept interrupting me and talking to me condescendingly. He also said that anytime a service truck so much as leaves their premises, the customer gets charged for the service call. I asked him why I should pay for a service call when I received no service, and he claimed that nobody had written down the reason for the service guy to come over. Which is ridiculous. (Why would anyone have come over without knowing what we needed them to do? Anyway, the service guy TOLD us why he was there as soon as he stepped out of his truck.) Then, for some reason, he asked me to describe what the service guy looked like. I hung up on him at that point and told my husband to call him. After my husband threatened to complain to the BBB or perhaps even file a complaint for theft, the owner agreed to refund the service charge. He did tell my husband that he was going to take the money out of the service guy's check - which is illegal. If he did, I hope the employee reports him to the cops and the National Labor Relations Board. The owner of Cincinnati Pool and Patio is a dishonest creep. Stay away from this business.

Tim and his crew worked in February under a tent and still did a great job! New gunnite, new tiles, new fountain wall and all new plumbing. Existing paver patio was removed and replaced and you can't even tell that happened. So many compliments from my friends! He even came back in fall and walked me through the closing process. We contacted Tim immediately and he said he'd come back to fix it. He came out to look at it and blamed it on the people who refinished the pool - that they didn't clean off their boots from the previous white pool job. There are chunks of white in the bottom of the pool. I asked him to come repair/redo the blue finish when the season opened this Spring. For numerous reasons, that didn't work, so we agreed he would come when the season was over and the pool was emptied. He did come on the date we agreed and did fix one of the issues but then told me to fix the white streaks in the blue pool myself. In fact - he blamed ME for the discoloration. WHAT??? When I questioned this, he got really mad, put the cover on an empty pool, packed up his stuff and left without talking to me. Unprofessional...and really concerning. The product used was supposed to be guaranteed for 25 years - and our pool is super streaky. Tim - do you stand behind your work as you committed when we started this project?

Because they have the exclusive on the fiberglass walls, other pool places won't work on it. I bought my house with the pool. Issues I have: 1. The pool itself was not put in right (they said so themselves!) They skipped putting in the concrete that layer That the walls are adhered to, thus increasing the risk of the metal strips holding the fiberglass walls to the concrete to rust and break off. Yes this has happened. 2. THERE IS ABSOLUTELY NO! NO! NO! CUSTOMER SERVICE!!! Always an excuse why they can't come out and look at it. Currently they say it's a busy time of year....REALLY? I'm probably going to put a new pool in and it WILL NOT BE Buckeye pools doing it! I have washed my hands of these people! There is no value to a pool that only one pool company can work on!
