The food is delicious! My personal favorite is the Quartz hill burrito! They also have yummy fresh cinnamon rolls. The service is speeding and the waitresses and staff are so kind! Ambiance is upbeat they have two different dining rooms, which I personally prefer the one closer to the bathroom since it it typically quieter. First of all the space in the restaurant is very small. My fork was dirty. The cup my water was in smelled moldy. And the service was terrible and took way to long. Then when the person I was with got their food 10 mins after I got mine and there was a hair in his food on top of being ice cold like it sat. read more

Recently my sister-in-law referred me to the easy egg cafe. Came to enjoy a birthday breakfast by myself (family at work, and I enjoy eating alone). Took the waitresses suggestion and ordered the easy quarts hill omelet. My country potatoes were nice and crispy just the way I ordered them(you'd be surprised how hard that is for other places) the omelet was so delicious, the cream cheese was a nice surprise flavor. In a good way. The coffee was good and the waitresses were on top of their game. Checking on me regularly. Note: 3.5 stars. Came by the area for cherry picking and decided to pick a place for brunch. Arrive at the front and there was a tiny bit of wait for a table. The place looks nice, but nothing extravagant. Looks nice and makes you feel a bit homey and in a casual mood. Locals appear to come often as there were still people waiting for tables after we left. Various sized tables and each booth has a 'painting' decoration with inspirational quote/essay. I ended up getting the classic benedict and a cinnamon roll. Other things we got were the country fried steak and the California benedict. Drinks-wise, we got water and hot cocoa. The hot cocoa wasn't anything special. The whipped cream was enjoyable, but the hot cocoa tastes more on the water side. If I were to say, it's kind of like a generic brand of hot chocolate mix made with water instead of milk. First, the cinnamon roll. In my mind, I imagine a certain product image so when this came out, it was very different to what I had in mind. It's a recently fried cinnamon roll with a generous dollop of slightly whipped/room temperature cream cheese on top of it. The flavors aren't bad as it was freshly fried, but the dough doesn't have a consistency to hold itself together. Poking a fork and taking a piece, the dough flakes apart by itself and it's hard to retain its rolled shape. The dough itself is pretty light on the cinnamon and sugar taste and it can pass for a fried donut instead. The cream cheese on top provided the sweetness the cinnamon roll lacked. Second, the classic benedict comes as one imagines. The amount of house country potatoes is very generous. To boot, the potatoes were fully cooked and was decently seasoned - didn't taste bland at least. The diced peppers in the potatoes still tasted like peppers at least. The Canadian bacon was fine - it was grilled on both sides. The hollandaise sauce tasted a bit too acidic and lacked the creamy eggy taste. The muffin was only toasted on the inside and the outside was not. Lastly, while the eggs were flowing, it was overcooked a bit as the edges of the yolk were becoming hard-boiled. Not bad as a whole, but not perfect. Not much different to the California benedict - just different ingredients. Third, the country fried steak is huge as well and the potato proportions are about the same. While large, the gravy on top is a bit interesting. It's thicker than most gravy I've had and the taste is a bit on the blander side. It's not bad, but to me, just about average for the gravy. The country fried steak was nicely prepared as it had a good crunch to it and the fried dough isn't excessively thick. The slightly confusing part is I think ground chicken was used instead of a piece of flattened chicken. Don't think I've had it like that before, but it was interesting to say the least. It is very similar to eating ground beef due to the texture, but the flavors are not as potent or strong since it is chicken. Seasoning could have been a bit more salt and pepper in the steak and gravy, but that's debatable depending on one's taste buds. All in all, the food isn't bad. Pretty decent value for the portions provided and I wouldn't mind coming back to having another item or the same if I am back in the area again. Some imperfections in their egg benedict, but that depends on if they are consistent or I just had a bad batch this time around. Worth a try if you are in the area for some food. Side-note: some utensils might not be the cleanest. Not a problem for me as I just ask to replace it or don't even use it, but I can see others minding it. read more

Sadly this is no longer the best breakfast in the AV. We've been here many times and for the last 6 months it has fell on its face IMHO. Quality of food is no longer there. Flavors are lacking. Service is terrible. Whenever there is something wrong. One of the older ladies that was always there would always make an excuse and make it to where we the customers were wrong. She cared not one bit. We've found hair. We've had gravy made with sour milk. We've had burnt toast. Raw eggs. The great service and high caliber food findings ever week we went is long and gone. Today was the first time that I had breakfast here and it was surprisingly quite good. I had the biscuits and gravy which came with two eggs any style and a side of potatoes, or fruit. The gravy was good, but it was a different kind of recipe that's not typical, in my opinion. It had more of a spicy, nutmeg taste to it. This place was so cute!!! As soon as you walk in there is such a good vibe to the place. From the little signs on the wall, to the cute servers aprons, to the yellow and gray decor. I would suggest sitting in the first section of the restaurant where the grill is because it's cuter there and more put together than the second section nearest to the restroom. There is two reasons I gave this place four stars instead of five. The first reason is for a cafe they sure don't know how to make coffee. But, maybe it was a bad batch. And as for the food the chicken fried steak which was good, but needed salt and pepper which was on the table, so not a big deal. The positives were the texture and gravy of the chicken fried steak was perfect, so was the home fires in the side and salsa! You get a lot of food for a reasonable price. You can even can get a huge delicious pancake instead of toast.
