The new owners really get it. They've upgraded their menu, while emphasizing on customer experience. I ordered the country fried steak and eggs, over medium with hash browns. I'm gonna say right now that their gravy is absolutely fabulous. They don't skimp on the meat and their hash browns have the perfect crisp and buttery flavor. Worst breakfast spot in Antelope valley... first time and last time going. Ordered a burger, the bacon & blue. Told my they didn't have blue cheese, that's fine. They then bring out a burger with no bacon. Like come on no bacon or blue, and there excuse is the kitchen is new. Like really? They don't know what comes on their own menu? The customer service is the lowest of low quality as well. Was helped with more than one blank stare and a whole lot of akward quietness. Highly recommend. I always seem to end up eating here at least once when I'm visiting family. This isn't quite your typical greasy spoon (it's clean and well maintained) but it's got the greasy spoon food you love. I've had the opportunity to try quite a bit of the menu and my go tos are the breakfast burrito or (as I like to call it) the "build your own avocado toast." They don't have avo toast on the menu (YET) but they have all the ingredients. They always poach my eggs perfectly to order and they even bring me an extra plate so I can properly build my toast. Although I love just about everything I've tried here, I don't love the cinnamon roll. I'm not sure why I keep ordering it, it always disappoints me. Maybe I'm just catching them on the wrong day, but they're not warm enough, too much icing (is that even possible? Yes sadly it is apparently), and like...too crunchy on the outside so the gooey middle isn't quite gooey enough. This is a smaller cafe that has a "family" feel to it. I have ate here twice, once french toast, once the country omelette. BOTH were wonderful!!! I recently went to another local cafe and had a similar omelette but this one was definitely better, the gravy was 10X better. HIGHLY recommend. But if you are going when everyone else is going be prepared to wait, they don't have a lot of tables, but it's WORTH it!!! read more

This place was good on the first trip but bad 3 times in a row. All ending with hair in both dishes of food. It was long hair and the cooks all had short hair so it was probably our waitress. Great first impression! Love the decor and vibe. Service: Great, our waitress was sweet and friendly Food: my husband and I shared the easy Quartzhill and full stack. DELISH!!! Portions were big enough to share, we were Both full with just the omelet. Pancakes were big and thick. We would have been better off sharing 1 pancake. The syrup could have been better. Beverages: coffee was Great! They have flavored creamers too, that's always a plus for me. My hubby had his OJ, not fresh squeezed but he enjoyed it. I frequent this place since it's close and the staff is friendly. However, the kitchen needs serious help. I've been served coffee in cups with lipstick prints, undercook and overcooked eggs, and cold bland food. But today I draw the line. I just got take out and was enjoying my breakfast nachos only to learn they are actually 100% cotton and made in Pakistan. Obviously not true, but that's what the label that was in my food says. Sorry guys, but I'm done. When you were Scramblez more care was given to the quality of food and overall cleanliness. But they aren't that far away and I'll be heading there in Sunday mornings. read more

Looks like a nice place to have brunch but wouldn't recommend going with more than 2 people, the seats are uncomfortable and don't have much space. The table sits very high so your elbows bump the person next to you. The food was okay, but the waitress forgot one of my items. I had to ask for it 3 times before they brought it out and it was burnt. Might visit again and update review, who knows. read more

This is the beat place to eat hands down!! During these Covid times I call my orders in the food is always on time and boxed up nicely and wrapped tightly in bags. The food is just as good as being inside!! We try and mix it up with the meals. Today I walked in and ordered and Kaylee who usually takes my phone orders and is my checkout server at pickup recommended the spam breakfast sandwich today. The way she responded when I asked if it was good sold me!! It was so good! And the bun as you can see in the picture was toasted just right!!! Best spam I've ever had. If you like chorizo try Jake's burrito. Cinnamon roll is a must. Customer service is 10 plus here! One time I called 10 minutes before they opened and no answer yet. So when I called back to order after they opened Kaylee said I seen you had called before we opened and took my order and had it ready fast!! I came here with my son to have a nice breakfast because I've heard so many great reviews about this cafe. But I will NEVER come here again! I ordered a veggie omelette and a Mickey Mouse pancake for my son. I've been a vegetarian for 13 years and they served me an omelette with bacon and sausage but I didn't realize until 1/4 way in. I told my waitress the mistake and I stepped away to go the restroom because I felt sick. But to my surprise, I came back to a family sitting at my table and my sons food thrown away! (He only had a couple bites). After that they told me for my inconvenience, they'll give me 15% off the entire meal! We didn't even have a breakfast because one they gave me the completely wrong order and then they threw my sons food away! Then tried to rush me out of the door by giving up my table to someone else. Husband: "So, how does yours taste?" Me: "...like a Yelp review." Dammit! Was so excited to go out for breakfast but this place left me disappointed. Didn't get any recognition when we came in and squirreled our way to a table. The place was crowded and you could tell that it was mostly regulars as they were getting great treatment. It was amazing how the lethargic service and kitchen chatter changed at a second's notice when the owner walked in. All of a sudden things were being cleaned and tables were being attended to. Once we got attention though our lady server was nice. Can't really complain about her, except for getting our check wrong but she fixed that quickly. But still - this place has maybe 12 tables total. How does it take 20+ minutes for a plate of eggs and potatoes to come out...AND be cold for that matter. Also please note I never add salt or pepper to my food. Like, ever. But I had to because this stuff was so tasteless. I had the sausage skillet with scrambled eggs and biscuits. Husband had fajita omelette. As you might notice from my other reviews I loved good biscuits and gravy. These rubbery biscuits with gelatinous glop of "gravy" are nowhere near good. Even the wheat toast hubby had was void of taste. I'll stop complaining about the lackluster food, service, and environment as I think you get my point. Though I want to add that it was also concerning hearing how worried about being taxed on non-existent tips for to-go orders they were. It was all we could hear from the servers as they fiddled around with their new POS system. In conclusion, no. Go elsewhere. read more

Solid, tasty breakfast. I ordered something very standard (the "easy egg" two egg breakfast with fruit cup and toast) and it was very good, not bland at all. I actually like that they have a sign on the table saying they bring out the toast one slice at a time to reduce waste, but ask if you want your second piece. I only wanted one piece so it was good not to have the temptation to eat the second piece I didn't need. I did not however care for the iced coffee at all. It tasted like watered down standard coffee. The more fancy breakfasts my family ordered looked very good as well. Service wasn't bad, but they might have needed a little more staff for them since it was a little slow. (Took about 10 minutes to get my credit card back after I submitted it to pay my bill). All in all though a nice tasty place to have breakfast with reasonable prices. read more

We're giving it a low four only because the service was slow and I only received one glass of iced coffee even though my glass was empty and set out for the waitress to see. My husband received refills but I did not which is extremely poor form. The decor was great, very cute and bright country chic. The place is extremely clean you could eat off the floor. The cafe stayed busy while we were there. This could be a local gem. The food was delicious and plentiful bring your eating pants! The portions are huge you could split it with a friend. We had the chicken fried steak and eggs with country fries. The gravy was handmade and delicious and I'm a gravy snob having grown up in the ozarks where gravy is a food group. The country potatoes had the perfect seasoning and zing to them with a hint of jalapeño. The country fried steak was so tender it could be cut with a fork. The two men working the grill know how to cook. We'll return to try the lunch menu. read more
