Fantastic all around! A friend highly recommended while we were visiting the area. Amazing food and service by Lynda. Lovely setting with a gorgeous bakery case. My husband enjoyed the chicken tender club and I had the best Reuben of my life. Owner, Mark Miller, stopped by to check in. We felt so welcome. Can't wait to return.
Hubby & I stopped in for lunch while vacationing in Amish Country. He ordered grilled pork chops with mashed potatoes & green beans. His drink was Pepsi which came in a can ($2). I got soup & salad (tomato basil & Farmer's salad w/grilled chicken). Hubby liked his meal but wasn't crazy about the Worcestershire flavored sauce on the pork chops. My soup was delicious. The salad was very good also & the house made ranch dressing was spot on. I didn't care for the liquid smoke flavor on my grilled chicken. Our server took good care of us. We would eat here again.
The food was absolutely delicious! Freshly made and so good. Not heavy and industrial like many of the Amish restaurants. Even though there was a wait for about 40 minutes, it was well worth it. We didn't have to sit inside and wait, they utilize a text based system, which made it convenient to go to the park out back.
Service is good We had steaks which were ok. Came with two sides. The salad we had was excellent as was the house made French dressing. Hubs had sweet potato fries which he liked - I had Mac and cheese which I didn't prefer It's a cute little place.
We finally got a trip to Amish Co to include a stop in Baltic to try the East Main Kitchen. This does not disappoint, our group is looking forward to going back The restaurant is beautifully decorated and plenty of space with mix of large and small tables or booths The menu isn't over large but really has a great variety. It's nice to see some traditional food for the area but prepared in a fresh way. We tried 3 of the app dips and loved them all but the jalapeño popper dip won Dinner was beef roast tender and tasty and some awesome mashed potato gravy and dressing. The burgers are huge and flavorful. Plenty to split and share with a friend Salads are fresh and large. And a fun drink menu with bubbly tea or lemonades, Italian soda or all sorts of barista drinks The deserts are impressive. Our table of 9 ordered nearly one of everything and shared. The hit was choc cake and the crème brûlée Add this to your plans. Worth the trek off the usual route 39 spots
We went back again last night and it was again fantastic! Our waitress Cindy was absolutely fantastic! It was Taco Tuesday and the tacos coming out of the kitchen looked fantastic. But I really wanted to try the Shrimp Skewers and they were excellent, I got one skewer fried, one skewer blackened and one skewer grilled all three varieties were delicious! My wife got the Fried Fish Sandwich and she loved it. Keep room for dessert even if you share. Get the Crème Brûlée or the Affogato both of those are fantastic. This places fulls up fast and they do accept reservations. This was our third visit here and it's always mega clean and has a great atmosphere.
We had a lovely dinner! The restaurant was very busy, but the hostess and server were pleasant and friendly. I had the East Main Salad and my husband had the Liver and Onions entree. What amazing food! The presentation was attractive and the food was flavorful. The dining room was clean and light filled.
We recently checked out East Main Kitchen on the recommendation and invite from Family. It is a bit of a hike from the Canton Area, so we were a bit nervous as to trekking out to Amish Country for something that may or may not be good. I can attest, that it was worth the Trek and wait when we got there. They move pretty fast, it isn't a large restaurant, but the care and quality they put into their food is beyond amazing. We had the pork chops and the ribeye, both of which cooked in a green egg. Both dishes were fantastic, and more than we could possibly eat in one sitting. I am very greatful for the leftovers! It is worth the trip, going early helps if you don't want to wait for 40-60 min.
Goodness gracious, this is some good food! Yeah, my party of two had to wait 30-40 minutes for a table on a Tuesday night. I would do it again without hesitation. The Cheese Curds looked too good to pass up, and the creamy horseradish ensured that they tasted the same. The fried chicken breast was honestly, seriously, some of the best that I've had in Ohio. I know that this is going to sound very weird, but it's like gourmet KFC - so tender and juicy with outstanding breading. The gravy was perfect over the chicken, and the dressing which was *undoubtedly* the best I've ever had in a restaurant. For real, I come from a family in which Soul Food/Comfort Food is the norm. Chef is killin' it! There was additional un-fried chicken in the dressing that blew my mind. I reached across the table to have several bites of my wife's Roast Beef and Mashed potatoes. It was darn good, too. The beef gravy was particularly good. We were stuffed, but we had to get a slice of chocolate espresso cake to go. The slices were large in portion just like everything else. And the whole menu is very affordable which is splendid because the food and dining space is very much elevated.
Second time here... Second time for our Anniversary weekend... We love to celebrate by "getting away" to the heart of Ohio's Amish Country and spend a few nights relaxing, unwinding, and enjoying some peaceful and beautiful scenery close to home, while also having AMAZING food experiences. Last year we came for Breakfast/Brunch. This year we chose to have our dinner date here. The place is always packed - especially on a weekend... expect a wait to be seated (but you can be placed on a waitlist and notified via text when you're next in line for a table). We were sooo excited to try their dinner menu - sooo many delicious options! Started with the FRESH cheese curds and "Onion Strings" from the appetizer menu - these were both piping hot, delicious, and generous in portions! The dipping sauce was homemade, and fantastic! We did end up taking 1/2 of these home (just so we can have room for the main course)... I chose their "market cut" steak which this particular evening was either a Japanese A5 Wagyu "Filet" or "Ribeye" with 2 sides ... They had me at "Japanese A5 Wagyu", of course! I don't think I realized how BIG the "24oz. Ribeye" was actually going to be - AND to be honest, it looked more like a 32oz. WOW! Impressive! Pictures are attached - steak was perfectly marbled, juicy, delicious and flavorful. I couldn't finish it, but MORE for later! I chose their special "Soup of the day" which was a Cheesburger Soup - also amazing, and roasted potatoes with seasoning (as they were out of the baked potato) as my 2 sides. My wife had the filet, the Baked Mac & Cheese, and we both shared a side of green beans. Every was amazing. Service was so friendly, fast, and attentive! The place was packed with locals and tourists alike - how can you tell? Trust me, you can tell who is local and who isn't! This lovely gem is located in the small village of Baltic, OH. Population less than 900... Trust me, you can definitely tell who the locals/regulars are, and who the tourists (like ourselves) are! But it didn't matter, as we felt like we were right at home eating a wonderful fresh and delicious meal in a very nice and modern "Local Family Kitchen". I don't have to mention the deserts we brought home, since one look at their deserts case would probably speak enough about THAT! I recommend this wonderful place, and we will be back, for sure!

We visit the Bolivar/Berlin areas a few times a year and we are always looking for places to visit for breakfast, lunch, and dinner during our stay. During past trips we have added several restaurants in the surrounding areas to our wishlist with East Main making the list. During our recent trip, we got a recommendation from someone in nearby Berlin, so we decided to check it out. Wow! We really enjoyed the food, the atmosphere, and the great service. We started out with an order of cheese curds, which were delicious. We ordered the Fried Chicken Tenders and Shrimp + Grits with garden salads and everything was delicious. We were both really impressed with the Shrimp + Grits. Yum! We were so impressed with dinner, that we returned the next morning to have breakfast, which was also very good! I had the Miller Scrambler and my wife had the French toast. Both were great! This place is a diamond in the rough and we will definitely be back. The staff was very friendly and the food was great! read more
If you are looking for another great restaurant in Amish country, this is it. It is a little off the beaten path but it is worth the drive to downtown Baltic. Fresh food, great service and great atmosphere. We came here in a Friday evening and two of us had to wait about a half hour. No big deal. Once you get inside, it has the modern farmhouse feel and it is very cozy and inviting, but who cares about the decor, the food is amazing. We had deep fried green beans for an appetizer and shrimp and grits and broiled fish for meals. They were all very good. Unfortunately, we were stuffed and we were unable to get desserts but those looked great also. read more

Let me start with what I like least about East Main Kitchen: the name. For me, it conjures up images of some grubby, greasy spoon diner which this is decidedly NOT! East Main Kitchen is also not one of the tourist-trap faux-Amish buffet/feeding trough restaurants so common to the area. East Main Kitchen is the standard to which all area restaurants should aspire. The decor has a chic country vibe that is bright, open, & clean. Booths are available as well as tables to accommodate larger parties. We visited at the dinner hour for which the menu has a modest variety of entrees. I ordered the tomato basil soup, NY strip steak, & mashed potatoes w/gravy (my preference even though baked potatoes are available after 4 p.m.). Not only were all of my dishes excellent, they were very reasonably priced. Service was excellent as well. I am stingy with my five star ratings but East Main Kitchen is most definitely worthy. If you are seeking something exceptional that surpasses the standard Sugar Creek/Walnut Creek/Berlin fare, choose East Main Kitchen. __________ Hey, Yelpers! Pleasant surprise: upscale cafe in a small town with GREAT comfort food, large portions at affordable price. We enjoyed a generous BLT, delicious chef salad and incredible cheeseburger soup. This is hands down, a 5 Star, 1 $ restaurant. Not the common Amish buffet but great food at a very good price and very friendly and accommodating staff. Our waitress was so friendly and engaged to get married soon. We are in the area camping with NuCamp for a week but will likely return and definitely recommend this gem restaurant. read more

Upon arrival you don't realize you are entering an Amish restaurant due to the super modern feel of the restaurant. Lots of natural tones including my current favorite: gray! My aunt and I sat in a booth and she ordered a "build your own burger" where you can choose all the parts. I ordered the grilled chicken not realizing it came on a bun which was a nice surprise. I ordered delicious sweet potato fries along with it. I also added avocado and grilled onions along with my grilled chicken sandwich. The sweet mint iced tea is to die for! Check out my photos to see the beautifully recently updated decor. read more

We stayed at an Airbnb nearby and the owner highly recommended East Main Kitchen, its a little bit of a drive to downtown Baltic, but once you arrive and walk see the open welcoming contemporary barn feel you realize you are in for a truly special treat. We arrived for a late breakfast on a Thursday morning and were able to seat ourselves. We sat at a table in the middle so we could enjoy the beautiful decor, see the coffee bar and drool over the dessert case. My Dad enjoyed the Baltic Bash, my Mom liked she was able to order ala carte and had 2 eggs, an english muffin and fresh fruit. I enjoyed the Miller Scramble, but instead of gravy I had blue cheese added and it was delicious. Great service, you could see everyone in the restaurant enjoying themselves and then the desserts - homemade daily. I love chocolate raspberry and selected the chocolate raspberry cake to go, but I couldn't wait and enjoyed every bite. Thank you East Main Kitchen for a wonderful time. When you are in the edge of Homes County, East Main Kitchen is a must for a truly delicious homemade meal! read more

A must try!! I had the Ruben, and the tomato basil soup. Both were amazing! The corn beef had an amazing flavor, The sauerkraut, bread, and thousand Island dressing was also delicious. The real winner was the tomato basil soup! I would highly recommend it if you make a stop here. Also, I tried a maple brown sugar breve that was amazing. The only regret I have is that I didn't remember to take more pictures. read more

Excellent decor! Cozy! Our server was very sweet & coffee was good. We both enjoyed our breakfast. I got fried corn mush, bacon & an egg. I would have preferred real maple syrup to Mrs. Butterworth's packet. Husband got Farmer's Breakfast & we both thought the bacon was exceptional, & he thought his biscuit could've been lighter & fluffier. We would definitely eat here again if we are in the area. read more

Great Service (Leah is a pleasant soul and knows her menu) and awesome food. This restaurant is founded in service and care for others. Appetizer choice, was fried green beans ( recommended by Leah) with a house dipping sauce. They were Fantastic, batter was flavorful. We indulged in 2 entrées. An impressive medium rare 8oz fillet with mushrooms and coconut mango rice (packed with flavor) and the Shrimp and grits! The Grits were so buttery, garlic and smooth they resembled mashed potatoes. Their are steaks cuts are plentiful for red meat carnivores visiting Amish country. Great place to eat dinner and the care map is impressive with the communities they have helped as part of the mission to give a hand. Make the Trip to Baltic! read more

I agree with everyone else. The service was incredible and the food delicious with large portions. I had the Reuben with sweet potato fries. The corned beef was tender and hand cut. The fries had a sweet caramel dipping sauce. It was incredible. My husband had the buttermilk chicken and he loved it. Our only disappointment was the coconut cream pie which was more whipped cream than pie and a bit runny for our taste. However we would go back again. We arrived around 4:30 on a Thursday with only about 25% of tables occupied. By 5:30 there was a line out the door. read more

Perfection. I've never had food this food in Amish country. Nothing we got was mediocre but more so phenomenal. The house herb vinegarette is so full of flavor I bought a pint to bring home with me. Roast beef was so hearty. We got the soup and salad (ham & potato soup and chicken pecan salad), kids cheese burger was as large as a regular burger( 9 year old approved) and I had the roast beef, chicken noodles and salad with house herb vinegarette. Great service. Atmosphere is so fun and fresh; modern farmhouse. Service was efficient and server was very kind. We had a great experience and this is officially our new favorite restaurant. Worth the scenic drive off the beaten path. You won't be disappointed read more
