Dough Co does it right. Guys, you can taste the from-scratch ingredients and the fresh-from-the-fryer glow in the dough. We got an assortment of cream sticks (Long Johns, torpedos depending on your vernacular) and I didn't even know that many variations existed. They were heavy and light at the same time--the masterful medley of perfectly-balanced dough filled to the gills with rich cream. A swipe of frosting on top made my life. My fingers are trembling as I write this. It's a combination of post-coital sugar shock and delight from having a real donut for the first time in a long time. For a place with so much hype around cupcakes I was surprised they weren't on the tray. Instead we had a choice between lemon bars, a strawberry shortcake, s'mores bar or buckeye bar. I tried both the strawberry shortcake which seemed to be a bit too dry and didn't have enough strawberry flavor and the lemon bar which my friend enjoyed but I thought was ok.
