Amish Country at its best!…read more This is a gem of a restaurant. We found this place thanks to the great reviews on Yelp. We were not familiar with Baltic, Ohio, yet we were so happy we found this place. The staff was so friendly and welcoming, it felt like we were eating in someone's home. Christian, the manager, could have not done anything more to accommodate us. He really went out of his way to enhance our experience. Our waitress, Arlene, had told us she had been there for several years and you could really tell this by her ability to help us through the menu. She wanted to make sure we were completely satisfied. The menu was one like I had never seen before. Everything from a large breakfast selection to Wagyu and Prime steaks. I had the best Ruben sandwich I had ever eaten ( that is saying a lot). We also shared the Wagyu filet with hand cut fries and sweet potato fries. The steak was sautéed with fresh mushrooms and onions. The steak was seasoned to absolute perfection. You have to try this. I have posted pictures of the menu. Don't forget a side order of homemade mac & cheese. Their prices are extremely reasonable considering the quality of the food and the impeccable service. The decor is perfect. Simple yet very pretty. They even have a nice area (living room style) that we hung out in until our table was ready. This Amish restaurant is the "best of the best". I will be back in this area next year and will be sure to make this my go to restaurant. Bravo to the staff and chef, well done.

Frankly, I didn't hate or love it. I just don't see a reason to make a trip there other than a…read morelack of competition. Food = Jalapeño popper dip was good. Pork chop was cooked alright, but definitely needed a sauce to add some flavor as it was bland. Coconut mango rice was sad (my wife is filipino so she knows a bit about rice, mangoes, and coconut). I had the reuben and it was alright. I don't understand why all the steaks and fish are "market price" on the menu. This is not a fancier restaurant that serves wagyu, why can you not figure out how to price half of your meats? Service = Good with no problems. Restaurant = Stylish, Spacious, and Clean.

Great service with a smile, a great rustic feel, and great cocktails…read more And did I mention the food is local and delicious. Burgers to steak, you can't go wrong with the menu. The deserts are awesome and the often feature live music. A quick detour off 70 or from Salt Fork.

Absolutely Disgusting and Unacceptable Behavior from Management…read more I am appalled by what I heard from a manager at this restaurant. Hearing someone in a position of authority refer to two high school boys as "retards" and degrade them is absolutely disgusting. No one should be spoken to that way, especially by someone who is supposed to be a leader and represent the business. There is a huge difference between managing people and humiliating them. Using a derogatory slur and belittling young people is not leadership, professionalism, or acceptable behavior. These were two high school boys who deserved to be treated with basic human decency and respect, not subjected to that kind of verbal degradation. What makes this even worse is that this behavior came from a MANAGER. If this is how management speaks about or treats young people, I would seriously question the culture and values of this establishment. Customers should not have to wonder whether the people running a business understand the meaning of respect. I hope the owners take this seriously, investigate what happened, and hold the manager accountable. A position of authority does not give anyone the right to demean or humiliate others. I would not feel comfortable supporting a business where this kind of behavior is tolerated. Absolutely unacceptable. Do better. I have the same review on Google, this needs to be addressed on every platform!!

Overall it was a joy to try Amish cooking (though I wonder how commercialized it is compared to…read morehomecooking). People come here for the buffet. But we ordered off the menu since we didn't want to stuff ourselves with food. We did order a variety of items - it all tasted good, but not a stand out. I liked that the food was fresh compared to the buffet (though they did refresh the buffet often). Some of the dishes were so fascinating like noodles over mashed potatoes. Fried chicken was okay. We were excited for the pies but it wasn't warm. Staff was super friendly! And they do take credit cards. There is a separate area for the bakery where you can order without a wait. Large parking lot too!

During our trip through Ohio's Amish Country, we stopped by Yoder's Greenhouse in Apple Creek, and…read moreit was one of those places that instantly puts you in a good mood. The greenhouse is beautifully laid out with an incredible selection of flowers, hanging baskets, annuals, perennials, herbs, vegetables, shrubs, and so much more. Everywhere you look there's another burst of color, and it's obvious they take great pride in caring for their plants. Everything looked healthy, vibrant, and ready to thrive once you got it home. What I really appreciated was how peaceful the greenhouse felt. There was no pressure to hurry, so we were able to take our time walking through the aisles, admiring all the different varieties, and picking out our favorites. The staff was friendly and welcoming, answering questions without ever making us feel rushed. It's the kind of customer service you hope to find at a family-owned business. Whether you're looking to add some color to your flower beds, spruce up your porch with beautiful hanging baskets, or simply enjoy browsing one of the nicest greenhouses in Amish Country, Yoder's Greenhouse is absolutely worth the visit. We'll definitely be making another stop the next time we're in the area. If you're taking a day trip through Amish Country, be sure to add Yoder's Greenhouse to your list--you won't be disappointed!
