They have an amazing selection of fresh breads, rolls, cookies, muffins, seasonal specials and so much more! It's a small space but you can see everyone working hard in the back baking away. We were greeted upon entering with the loveliest service offering fresh bread and butter. (How do you make whole wheat taste so good??) My daughter and I enjoyed the Dakota as well with the regular and garlic butter and of course we got Marionberry cinnamon rolls to go and I love that you have the option between frosted and unfrosted. The icing on the cake for visit was my daughter got a leprechaun coloring page and was told she can color it and bring it back to trade for a giant cookie and have it displayed in the shop! What a wonderful way to engage the kiddos. Thank you so much for that fun surprise! Our friend also love to get the gluten free rolls from here and we will be sure to be back to try the sandwiches and different seasonal specials next time!

I always knew about this little bread making factory, but now I finally get what the hype is all about. Here's a few little reasons as to what makes this place "Great!" * Parking Situation * It's next to a Safeway, so plenty of spaces for parking. People come and go, so front row parking is usually obtainable. * Dining Expectations * First of all, they're a tiny shop, and there's only one long stand-up table against the window. So basically, no 'sit-down' dining. If you're grabbing lunch, you can also expect a lunch line due to its popularity. Sometimes the line can be out the door. * The Harvest Offerings * What impressed me most, was walking in with a warm welcome from the staff, and being offered a slice of bread to sample. They even offer some of their buttery spreads you can spread on it too. And it happens with every visit! Here's a few sandwiches I've tried: ~ Classic Turkey (1/2 sandwich, $6) made with their garlic cheddar bread. A simple sandwich with lettuce, tomatoes, slices of turkey, mayo, and Tillamook cheddar. It's that soft bread that made it all so yummy. ~ Tuna Salad Sandwich (whole, $10), and I gotta say their tuna ain't so bad either. Not heavy on the dill flavor, but flavorful and filling enough. I had this on their wheat bread, and I'd say they make a tasty whole wheat! ~ Other favorites I've tried, their Club sando with Turkey slices and bacon. And their BLTA with avocado of course. Both are just yummy classics. Yes, I'd say their offerings are basic sandwiches, but really you gotta experience this place just because of the bread alone. They do have a display case full of pastries like their breakfast bun with egg, two types of cinnamon rolls, two types of bread pudding, brownies, scones, muffins, and various types of cookies. Look behind you and they've got a shelf with 'Day old cookies' that are still sweet to eat! But in closing, come here for the samples, come here for the sandos, come here for the pastries! What more can you ask for? (Well, I did ask if they can toast the bread for my sando, but they said they cannot. I get it. Just thought I'd ask lol).

Added a side of baked beans 9/10 for both the beans and sandwiches. Great portion sizes, the sandwiches were overflowing with meat. The sauce to meat ratio was perfect. Not too sloppy, but not dry either. Wishing there was a bit more coleslaw flavor but the pickles and onions made up for it. Coming from a Texan missing some homemade bbq, I will be coming back here again!! 10/10 service - We were told 20 min, we got everything in 5. Staff were incredibly nice!

The café itself is simple, clean, and cozy, with a small outdoor seating area available. Their menu features a variety of sandwiches and burgers to choose from. On a previous visit, I tried the elk burger, which was excellent. This time, I ordered the roast beef sandwich, and it did not disappoint. The bread was lightly toasted, the portion of meat was generous, and the sandwich itself was hearty and satisfying. Service was quick and efficient, making it an ideal spot for a casual lunch. While the space is modest, it is well-maintained and comfortable. They also operate a butcher shop next door, which has become one of my favorite places to purchase quality meats--I plan to review that separately in the future. Overall, I highly recommend stopping by if you're in the area.

I have been aware of Japanese loaf bread but had not tried egg and other sandwiches made with it…read more Oyatsupan is our regional Japanese baker. If you visit you will find a very large selection of sweet and savory single-serving rolls-treats, sandwiches, and drinks. And they have thin- or thick-sliced loaves of Japanese white bread. It is very popular with families, eat-in, and takeaway. Families love to allow wide-eyed children to pick among options. They have a hygienic system of clean tongs and trays for your selection. The takeaway goes in nice boxes, honoring the tradition of Japanese packaging. I would have to say, I am still trying to figure out how to use Japanese loaf bread, in contrast to Italian or French bread. I grew up in a family of whole wheat bread. When I toast the thin-sliced Japanese bread, the inside is not done. So I'm experimenting with a short microwave after toasting. I'm also looking at what to put on Japanese bread toast. The staff is customer-oriented, parking is vast and they are near the Tualatin Parks and Rec facility to burn calories before or after. Unique, friendly, community, cool.

None around seemed to care about customers. Crowded, probably because it offers sugary food at a lower price than others, but as anything else, you get what you pay for. Opening at 9 am on Saturday, this location of the famous Filipino chicken chain provides their…read morecomplete menu even for breakfast. It has been open for less than a year at their only Oregon location here at Hillsboro. On our last day in Portland, my wife, her mom, and I stopped in for fried chicken on our way to the airport. We were all jolly when we left. I've really come to appreciate the consistency of Jollibee's chicken fried chicken. Unlike some of their competitor's, where the chicken breading might be coming off because it has been sitting under a heat lamp too long, their chickenjoy breading is crispy and their meat juicy. All of us had already eaten breakfast at the hotel we had been staying at, so weren't particularly hungry. Thus, just got a 3 pc Cjoy combo meal ($18.49, no tax) with 3 pieces of spicy, dark meat chicken (2 drums, one thigh), a biscuit (fluffy and tasty), two sides (mash potatoes and fries) and fountain drink. It also comes with a cup of brown gravy, meant to be used as dip for the fried chicken. Brown gravy with fried chicken has become something I seek out now. The fries are very similar to McDonald's and the mashed potatoes to KFC. In both cases, that is a good thing. I got a pager and it went off about 10 minutes afterwards, so got up to bring the chicken back. They have a self serve soda fountain. It is expensive though for a fast food chain, with no value-type menu available yet. Fil-Ams are loyal to this chain, and seem to be OK with the slightly higher price. It will be interesting if they ever choose to expand, what they would do to draw in non-Filipinos.

Came here to pick up a meal and I ordered three mashed potatoes and unfortunately only got two…read more There was a lot of extra gravy so they may have mixed up my order. Also, I asked for the half-and-half, but for some reason got all original wings, which was still really good but the spicy as far superior so I was a little disappointed. On top of that, my order was 15 minutes later when I got a text to pick up my order cause it was ready.
