My wife and I went there last night for dinner after reading all of the good reviews. PLEASE do yourself and others a favor and do not write reviews if you do not know what good food is supposed to taste like. It all looked pretty decent until we started eating it. All dishes that were fried were stale. Like they either used old batter or they had sat out too long. I can honestly say that everything was terrible. How do you screw up Wonton soup??? Just wow. Service was brash, which doesn't hurt my feelings. But what did hurt was the food poisoning that both my wife and I received. She threw up all night and I followed suit. This place needs a health inspection bad. I've eaten at some low-fi places and still refrained from giving bad reviews. As far as all you can eat buffets go this place is my favorite in Conroe! Very friendly staff who are always quick to refill your drinks, and they are out changing the food frequently to make sure what you're getting is fresh. The restaurant is always very clean and kept up. They have a great selection including a variety of different kinds of sushi (both raw and cooked), and they have a good dessert selection if you have room left over which I never do! The only thing good here in my opinion is the Crawfish and the crab legs. The crawfish comes outs fast but the crab legs on the other hand is almost impossible to grab. There's always someone in the buffet are like vultures waiting for the crab legs to come out. When it does they grab 2 plates full of it and leave a few scraps for the next person. Looks like I have to wait another 15-20 mins to get a chance of eating crab legs. 15-20mins later the same thing happens again. If you come for crab legs come 1 hour of closing time. When we first moved to Conroe we tried a few Chinese food locations and this by far has yhe greatest value AND better yummy options. From the sushi to the bourbon chicken to the service, I honestly have no complaints. When we have people come in from out of town we come here. Everyone has a different favorite. The star of this buffet is the crawfish though. The boil and corresponding sauce is almost like a spicy New Orleans Barbecue Shrimp style sauce. It's dark, spicy, incredibly savory and full of flavor. It's really good stuff. Their boiled shrimp were also good. They also had fried shrimp that were just slightly breaded. If you actually like Chinese food, try another place. The litmus test for me was the fried rice and sweet and sour sauce. If you can't hit a homerun with these 2 staples, the odds are good the rest of the menu is a bust. They had seafood, which I don't eat, but my husband loves. I can understand charging him a bit more, but for the rice and lo mein I had, it wasn't worth $34.00. And don't even get me started on the Pepsi products. LOL No, Pepsi is not an acceptable substitute when someone asks for a Coke...but that's just me, so I give them a pass on that one.
