My husband's BMW key fob died unexpectedly and he needed to get it fixed or replaced. He called East Bay Locksmith and Ben came to our house the next day. Ben evaluated the problem and explained what needed to be done. The key fob was damaged and the little metal back up key, inside the fob, was not cut right. Ben created two new key fobs with the equipment in his van. We bought two because the second fob was much less than the first one. It makes sense to have a spare. All this locksmith did was waste my time. Last weekend I was in Brentwood getting gas and this Eastbay Locksmith truck pulled in and I had my husband go ask if they cover our area in the Oakland hills. The gentleman said yes and seemed very professional, gave us his business card and told us to call him. Yesterday I called and spoke with the gentlemen that gave us the card and asked if he had time that day to come make a key for my car. He said he could come when he's finished his scheduled appointments for the day. He asked me for my vin number and I gave it to him. Around 6pm I asked him when he will be arriving and he told me in 2 hours. So I waited.. When it was a little after 9pm I called to see if he was still coming and he told me Yes, he was on his way and he already made a key for my car, just had to program it. Then he said something about how he had to get gas and he would call me when he was on his way. Then at 9:30pm he called and asked if we could reschedule for the next morning ( today ) . I wasn't happy about it, but I could understand that it was late so we agreed on 10:30 am this morning. Well 10:30am came and went, I tried calling and texting and I have heard NOTHING. He never showed up. But now he has my address, my vin number and supposedly a key for my car, which is a little nerve racking, not to mention hes totally unprofessional! Complete FLAKE. read more

FRAUD FRAUD, My son locked his car out and I called couple of locksmith near by, till I called east bay locksmith, they quoted me over the phone cost $65, when the representative showed up to my house he forced my son to pay $200, and my son was embarrassed and end up paying $185, after they told him he will waive the tax, really !!! There is no tax when it comes to service. When I called the customer service, the lady told me we "we never told you $65" will contact BBB as well, someone has to to something about this company. read more

These people are scammers. Russian accent and you have to text pics to one number and talk to someone else on another. How can a $250 job order increase to $750 and the guy was only at our location for less than 30 minutes. These people are thieves and have no conscience. I hv been using this locksmith for my business lock work. My office door locks were rekeyed by them and now they're coming loose, a regular house key opens it. I called couple times and a grls said she'll look into it. She never called back. Today i call,a guy says he sees notes of me calling and invoice of work done. However to cone and correct their defective work, they'll still charge me AGAIN. I could never do that to my customers, NEVER. This company has bad work and no integrity for honest warranty towards a loyal customer. I DONT RECOMMEND them to anyone. read more

Service center is s joke; technicians don't get accurate info from call center for the job

I got quoted about 285 by my dealership plus I had to find a way to get my car there (if they even had the equipment to fix it... then prolly would have had me pay a storage fee while the part came in). I ended up calling a few locksmiths who said they don't do dodge chargers, but got a reference to east bay locksmith. I called the number and the guy gave me a solid quote much less than my dealership. He drove out and fixed the key for me in 10 minutes. Life saver!!!!!!!!! read more

My key was stuck in the igition while coming from work at the bart. Was going to get it towed, but they told me east bay locksmith can fix it for me. Now its late, dark and he said he would be there in 30 minutes. He got there assessed the issue and said it would take about a hour. So l decided to go get something to eat. Come back and he's about done! Thank god.... his name is chulu and he is very knowlegable. I was not pushing in my key in correctly and jammed the alignement. So revelived he took credit credits and was reasonable as well. So glad God sent you to help me in my time of need. I will always recommend. read more

LADIES BE AWARE!!! I called this locksmith because I had misplaced my keys. He shows up three hours late and he smelled like a bottle of Hennessy. He then proceeded to make a key for me but he seemed too out of it to pay attention. I had on a short dress this day and he made several inappropriate comments that I should have reported. He is a short black guy with a heavy accent. If you're looking for quality service and someone who can do the job, make sure not to call Eastbay Locksmith!!! read more

When I hear the term "24/7 locksmith", I make the assumption that they are used to people being stuck in somewhat helpless situations. In my rush to leave the house before commute traffic, I loaded up my car with my backpack my lunch, my baby, and the baby bag making sure to turn the lock on my garage door as I entered the garage. Only when I realized I forgot my jacket, did I also realize that my car keys were still on the kitchen counter behind the locked the garage door. I called East Bay locksmith for help and the guy asked for my general location, saying he would call me back right away to give me an ETA. After 15 minutes, I called him back asking if there was any availability to come to my house, or if I needed to call somebody else, and he asked for my full address saying somebody could come. When I asked him how long, he said 30 minutes or so. 30 minutes passed, and then I got a text message saying that the equipment he needed to unlock the door was somewhere else and so he couldn't do the job. At this point it was a full hour after I had originally locked myself and baby out. I completely understand that not every locksmith can do every job, but my main frustration was in the lack of urgency on his part in getting back to me or communicating to me and a helpful manner. I found another locksmith further away and and I'm still currently sitting in my driveway with my baby waiting on somebody to fix the problem that I am aware I caused. read more
