I have used their company for several years. They have always been wonderful. I have a small business with only three PCs that are connected. They treat me as well as their big clients. When I have a problem they can either fix it remotely or come in if necessary. When they do come in they come quickly. They are also very competent, quickly assessing the problem and fixing it. I highly recommend them for smaller businesses like mine. read more

East Bay Computer Service has been our IT consultant for the last 5 years, but really they've been much more than just that. Any time we have had an issue, the team has been responsive and friendly. When our server room starts making weird sounds or we get a confusing error message, the EBCS team comes through for us (even when it is 100% user error). They also do a good job at explaining and teaching so that I have been able to solve some of the more mundane issues on my own - this provides even more value on top of what they already add and has helped our staff (who are not the most computer savvy) to be more self-reliant. And they are all local - a huge bonus by being so close, and by supporting the East Bay business community. A++++ Highly Recommend! read more

My friend who I used to call to help me with my computers moved to Seattle and I had a problem installing an OS on a machine. There were BIOS and drivers things that needed to be done, and it was beyond what I could do. I chose these guys from the 'net and made a great decision. They're friendly. They went out of their way to accommodate my schedule. They knew exactly what they were doing and did a great job. Seriously, this is the place. I'm lucky to have chosen this place over the others. About a year ago, the guy who managed and designed our brand new file server up and quit. I was asked to take over the server in his stead. I was also told that we would be bringing on some outside help. That outside help was EBCS. I am very good with a computer but had no server experience, but with Casey and Dons help we were able to diagnose all of our issues, make recommendations on upgrades, and most importantly, showing me everything they were doing so I can actually do it myself. Very flexible on schedule. I've had Casey here anywhere from 7am to 7pm working through things with me. They are watching our server remotely and reporting issues, repairing or replacing computers for us and being the best tech support I have ever dealt with. They are the reason our business is still running smoothly on the tech end. I recommend them to everyone. read more

These guys helped our law office with a last-minute Server 2003 issue. They identified the fix quickly and accurately. They also let us know about our options for upgrading our server. We weren't ready to upgrade, but we are glad that they will be there for us in the future. read more

We recently switched over to East Bay Computer Services after our last IT company changed their policy and was going to force us to pay way more than we could afford. I have had a great experience with them so far! They are a lot more responsive and dependable than the last company we worked with and at a price we can afford, which is so important since we are a small non-profit in Oakland. We had a bit of an emergency last week with our VOIP system not working correctly and Don responded immediately and came in and fixed the problem. Very grateful for his service! read more

Using Yelp Projects, I filled out the repair request, and the bids came pouring in! YY Computer offered to do diagnostics and software install for $100. YY Computer is in Oakland Chinatown on Jackson St. I made an appt, and dropped by in the morning. While I was there, they did a quick check and found the hard drive (HD) to be damaged. They repaired my PC and upgraded my HD to 1 TB. It took about 2 business days. When I went to pickup my PC, they switched it on and show me the new HD. I'm very pleased with my experience. Small parking lot or meters on the street.

These guys rock! I have been in IT services for over 25 years in both corporate and the small to mid-size business environments. There's a delicate balance between cost and service and these guys have hit it on the sweet spot. The Techs are superiorly trained with a manager/owner that is a trained technician but also a business executive who can think through both lenses. This unique value proposition of engagement with the client's business in the planning phases vs a "break fix" model which is what most other companies do is refreshing. I have relied on them to support very complex environments where responsiveness and accuracy are critical to the success of my business.
