IT'S BEEN A WEEK NOW - still did not receive my refund. They kept delaying refund process and kept changing their words. They first told me they would wire transfer the funds last Friday and then on Monday they said they would zelle me the refund. They try their best to avoid phone calls and kept telling you to wait for their call. This company is a total scam. REVIEW UPDATED! The manager emailed me back calling me I seemed as if I was on steroids and said I made numerous order change requests. I made 1 change and made a cancellation after. Please do not reply back with incorrect information and I wish you the best luck : ) read more

if you care about customer service on any level, this is likely to be one of your worst or most interesting experiences - that is, if you're unfortunate to work with "Shumaila Kanwal - Sales Manager". She has the complete absence of tact and she emails like a petulant teenager. She also, is either purposefully misleading (will quote or lead you on about a product and price) or entirely incompetent. Given the highly chaotic nature of her disposition towards humanity and her job, my guess is it just simply depends on the day. I wasted days trying to get an order situated with her, despite the ups and downs of "we can't do a deal" "I apologize for my poor customer service - we can do a deal" to "I can't do a deal". read more

BUYER BEWARE! Chris, the owner of this company is a complete piece of work in all the worst ways! I placed an order for rock more than a month ago. Delivery date was set. This has been cancelled on me THREE TIMES either the DAY OF or day before scheduled delivery. At first, i was understanding. Now, I'm convinced I'm being scammed. Chris is money hungry and DOES NOT CARE about his business's reputation OR his customers livelihood. He is here to make a quick buck and he will treat you like crap along the way. The first two cancellations i was very understanding. Things happen. This third time i called to figure out a solution. Chris was not only a compete a** To me via email but on the call he HUNG UP ON ME and told me that he wasn't in the mood to talk to me today. Real nice, as he's sitting on my $1,500. Yesterday, i received an order confirmation for an entirely different kind of rock from what i ordered and only a sample. Not the 16,000 lbs of Del Río pea gravel i placed an order for. Today we were cancelled -- the day of delivery. He had the audacity to treat us so foul when he has our hard earned money. Due to my HOA, we are required to have a landscaped yard within 60 days of moving in. Well, i am officially being fined WEEKLY because of chris. not onlt did he take my money with no service, hes costing me more money. we are taking this right to the Better Business Bureau and will be consulting with legal counsel to pursue a lawsuit if we are not reimbursed fully. It's not surprising he has served time for fraudulent acts before. Just see the proof! He's a convicted thief and he admitted as much. I'll update with screenshots as we dig deeper. This guy cannot keep getting away with this. read more

The good: ESR made two deliveries of 4-tons each to my home of bocce ball court material. The material is excellent and the bocce ball court is a ton of fun! The support personnel at ESR were very polite and helpful and worked through some supply timing hiccups in a graceful manner. Thank you to Reyna, Layla, Nikki and Aiman! The bad: Neither my contractor nor my bride will work with Chris again. He was rude and vulgar to each of them for no good reason...all they wanted to do was to purchase materials that ESR presumably wanted to sell. In the end, Chris made it happen, but the road to getting it done was very rough until ESR's support team stepped in. read more

This review is about owner Chris and his unapologetic, careless and zero customer service. I never received materials from his company because he would rather talk about politics. Tried to order samples (because they offer to send samples for a fee) through their website in mid-September. Between Sept and now (2.5 MONTHS) I've called 3 times and have been bounced around to various depts only to be told they'll "be shipped soon", which they never were. I wrote an email to Chris - the owner - a few days ago letting him know the situation and letting him know I was disappointed. The response I got back (photo below) was an unapologetic political rant and quite unnerving from someone who owns a business. Zero helpful solutions, zero apologies, zero customer service, zero sh***s about anyone but himself and his agenda. Seemingly there is no industry untouched from becoming a political platform. I'm trying to order rocks, I really don't need to discuss how either of us voted or what you pay your employees. There are SO MANY great examples of businesses out there that actually care for their clients and then there are those who have crumbled under fear of not getting their way and taking it out on their customers, as Chris does. Spend your money at the former, not here. read more

Very helpful. Prompt response on any inquiry. We purchased 2 tons of 3/8" gravely for our Zen Garden. They were very helpful when dealing with the shipping company. Especially liked the friendly and courteous demeanor online and on the phone. Thanks to all involved. Ken Fortune Durango, Colorado read more

they delivered exactly what I bought, on time. their communications, by email, with their office, were excellent.

I ordered some hard to find color of decomposed granite from Earth Stone and Rock. There were able to deliver the order quickly and the material turned out great. The quality of the DG was excellent. I am very happy with the outcome of the project. Thank you for great service and for finding the material I needed. read more

Probably the worst example of a professional company that I've ever tried to work with. I ordered a "listed product" of 12 tons of red lava rock... on their website. I live in Orange county and chose the delivery choice given on their website. It's now three weeks later and have not received my order. I've called on three different times trying to get answers, but received none. On the third call, I was sent an email saying my shipping charge would be almost X3 of what I was given on the site. Complaining, I asked for them to honor my order as I have workers waiting and some being paid to just sit here, because site says orders ship in 24-48 hrs. Not only did the NEXT email say they would not honor my order.... they cancelled the order all together. This after I waited THREE WEEKS for delivery. After that email, I asked for someone to call me to discus. Chris called and in my opinion did not handle it well. He was difficult and defensive. I hope that if you're a customer reading this.... you'll not want to risk doing business with these guys. I called Sepulveda, and my order is going out tomorrow. read more

I started trying to place an order 6 weeks before I needed it. I kept getting customer service associates (who were very polite but not at all helpful) who were not at all empowered to handle sales and they would say that someone would call me back. No one ever did. Because I wanted the material for a bocce ball court there were not a lot of local options. I finally was able to place the order and was assured it would come in time for the work day I had set up with laborers. It did not come. It was three days late and I now have no means to install it. The delivery fee was also very high. If you're wondering why I didnt return the material when it came late it was because they wanted a $200 restocking charge to do so. Just wow. Don't use this place. read more

My very first yelp review. I should have checked here before ordering from this company. Chris took my order - quoted $75.00 delivery fee on 4/5 for delivery 4/8. I went thru their complicated payment process. Never rec'd my order. Called twice - no response. Sent email and Reyna was responsive - she promised delivery 4/29- that didn't happen either. Now final straw - delivery fee will be $200.00! They've billed my cr card and I never rec'd the order. Do business elsewhere ! read more

Horrible place of " business" . I called nearly a month ago to get a price of 20 yards of a certain gravel I was told thus "company" said they could get. 4 calls later, 3.5 weeks gone by of leaving my email and phone number to receive quote,...... NOTHING! I called today and they tell me it's a logistics problem. Really, a month later! Fucking joke of a place filled with incompetent people! Don't waste your time and/or energy with these clowns! read more

Once again Chris hooked me up with some beautiful gravel for my planter beds. I live in Sacramento and could not for the life of me find any 3/4" crushed gravel in a shade of red. Sure, I could find red lava rock in that size, but the lava texture just didn't mesh with the various other colors of 3/4" crushed gravel in the surrounding planter beds. So I scoured the internet and found ERS. Because their minimum order size was way more than I needed, it made no sense to spend $600 to have a giant bag of gravel delivered to my house. However, the family and I were headed to Palm Springs for Christmas, and would be passing through Visalia on our way home. So I wrote to Chris and asked if I could buy a small quantity of gravel and pick it up on my return trip. He said yes! He encouraged me to stop by the Acton yard to get it. That was too far off the path for me, but Visalia wasn't. While the Visalia yard did not have the color I was looking for, Chris said there was a large bag of 3/4" crushed Mahogany gravel that a customer had ordered and never picked up. He allowed me to take a much as I wanted, for free! Of course I didn't grab enough. Another six months passed and me and the family were headed to Newport Beach for a mini vacation. My wife said "let's get some more gravel." She is so smart. So, I tossed the shovel and some sand bags in the car and texted Chris. He said yes, again! We stopped by the Acton yard this time. The yard worker was a really cool guy. I wish I had gotten his name and given him a tip. He confirmed with Chris and once again I loaded up some bags of gravel. This time I selected some 3/4" Sangria and a few bags of Deep Purple lava rock. They really highlight the deep purple/red of the Emperor One Japanese maple I planted. Chris gave me a sweet price on the deal. Man, I wish I had an acre of landscaping to do just so I could throw some business his way. I am so impressed with ERS. The Acton yard has a really nice selection of beautiful gravel in many colors and sizes. And the employees at ERS are super friendly. What a great company :-) read more

We bought rocks and DG from them twice and both times went smoothly. The delivery people were very friendly and quick. The second time they were able to do an order with a very short turnaround because we were under a deadline. They know their rocks, will order from them again! read more

they helped me order the exact correct amount of material, and saved me thousands in the process.

Wanted to order some garden rocks. Placed order online and when I called to confirm and try to pay. The person who answered didn't have a clue what I was talking about. These people are impossible to deal with. We ordered samples 2 different times. After a couple of months we still never got anything. After calling nobody would return a call. I called back and whoever it was that was helping me was never available . I talked with someone else about a possible sample and we picked one that was supposed to be available. They charged my credit card for the sample. I never got any sample or any follow up regarding my order. The charge was not very much, but I give up. I would NOT recommend this company. Good luck if you deal with them read more

Absolute disaster around customer service. I put in an order over 5 weeks ago and they won't get back to me. Buyer beware!!!!
