I never had chocolate butter mochi before, (only regular butter mochi from family potlucks) it seemed it didn't have that coconut flavor that you get with regular butter mochi but I am glad I tried it. The food overall hit the spot. Staff was kind and welcoming. You can order online but we opted to order in person and the wait was not long. (We got there before 5pm). The garlic shrimp was probably the better of the two dishes. The shrimp had a nice garlicky flavor, but I really didn't like that they were fried with the shells on. It made them pretty difficult and messy to eat because you have to peel off the shell while trying not to lose all the garlic, seasoning, and crispy breading stuck to it. The mac salad was decent but nothing special. It was a little bland for my taste, and I wish there had been more potato mixed in since the potato was the element with the most flavor. Another downside is that there was absolutely no seating, so you'll need to plan on taking your food elsewhere to eat. This was pretty inconvenient, especially if you're not staying nearby and want to enjoy them while they're fresh. The cashier also wasn't particularly friendly, which didn't help the overall experience. Overall, I think this place is a bit overhyped.
