Humble but amazing. The pork melts was delicious paired with the bbq sauce! Don't pass this place by. About the banana bread...loved it! Thank you for the hospitality.

Hands down the BEST spot on the road to Hana. We stopped here not expecting much. I wanted to try some pork so ordered the Kalua pork melt. It's a grilled cheese with kalua pork. It was bomb. The pork was so juicy. And we also casually ordered malasadas also not thinking much about it. It's 3 per order for $6. These were the best malasadas we had on the island! Fried them up in the truck so they were hot and not stale and had the perfect amount of cinnamon sugar. Soft & chewy & just perfection. Plus the ladies working the truck are awesome & gave us great service. If you need a snack/lunch/dinner on the road to/from Hana, stop here! You will not regret it.

Don't miss this on the Road to Hana! It's a little past mile marker 17 and well worth whatever line is happening there. The pork is tender and delicious! Along the side of the stand is a small table, where they sell local made jewelry and leis.

First stop for us was at Uncle Harry's! at 1030am we were ready for our first stop. They call it "pig tacos", pinto beans so flavorful and meat so tender. Absolutely recommend, what a gem!! Stop here to fuel your journey.

We had the pig tacos (pulled pork) AMAZING!! so excited to find this little gem on the road to Hana .. the meat was chopped with purple cabbage the perfect crunchiness and flavor! We tried other places and they don't compare .. wonderful family run establishment we were treated so warmly .. Highly Recommend!!!

Definitely worth the stop! Pork tacos 10/10!!! We went back and ordered more. Staff is very friendly and helpful. Give this place a try!

Yay! This was a nice little stop on our Hana Highway trip. I got a coconut and pineapple smoothie which was really delicious - super fruity, fresh, and sweet. A few members of my party got the last two baby loaves of banana bread and we all got to taste but I wasn't too impressed. It tasted like generic banana bread but was a bit dry (maybe it was slightly old). A few people got ice cream (banana macadamia nut, I think). I sneaked a taste and found that it was really creamy and rich and really good. The lady running the stand was really nice and friendly and helpful, especially when one of the members of our party found out he'd stepped in poop. She gave him some dish detergent and directed him to the hose so he could rinse off. There was a picnic table under an awning and some interesting decor (deer head, animal skulls, and two live turtles in a small tank). There was also a weird looking duck walking around. We got to meet Princess, the owner's dog, who was friendly, but had flies swirling around her.

I found this place on line and when we drove over to it from our resort on Kaanapali, my husband pitched a fit because it was in a strip mall and he thought it was going to be terrible. We walked in and it was nicer than I thought it would be. He still wasn't convinced. We went back to the resort and went to one of the hotel restaurants on the beach, his idea of where we should be on our last night - despite the fact that we'd already had oceanfront dining at two other places and were ready to try something different. The rest of us didn't want to be there. My daughter got dress-coded for having a bathing suit top on at the beach (literally oceanfront, outdoors, and part of our resort). I get it, but it just added to the mood. The water they gave us tasted like it came out of a hose. The prices were dumb. We left. Everyone was mad at dad. And hangry. After going back to our room and looking at our options, we decided to go back to the first place (Sergio's) and just get takeout. I ordered a bunch of stuff, we picked it up and brought it back to our room. Everyone - even my husband - agreed the food was amazing and probably the best meal we'd had all week. Bonus that it didn't break the bank. Looking back in my camera roll, I actually did not take photos. Probably because I was mad. You should still go. The reason for my extremely late review is today I was talking to someone about to travel to that area and I told her she might want to look it up. They deserve the rave review.

The chips and salsa were yummy. Chips perfectly salted and the salsa was uniquely blended, not a ton of spice but pretty nice. I ordered the nachos, they were pretty standard. Enough meat and cheese. The chicken was very tender and flavorful and I liked the good amount of pico de gallo on there. Honestly wish I had tried a salad they sounded very scrumptious. The people I was with ordered the pork tacos and the kids taco plate, both looked good and were pretty standard. Service was pretty nice and attentive, ambiance was decent. All in all, wouldn't go out of my way to come back, wouldn't be opposed to it. :)

Head over to Roasted Chiles if you want healthier Mexican flare on Maui!…read more Parents and I were craving some legit Mexican food so I told them we should go to Roasted Chiles since it's been awhile & it hit the spot. We ordered a basket of Chips and Salsa with a Side of Queso and annihilated that throughout the meal. I got myself a Zero Proof Guavalajara (Guava Margarita) and Mom got the $5 Margarita Special. Our waitress Geo was so friendly and checked up on us quite frequently & recommended the Drink Special to my mom. She also mentioned since it's Tuesday, they had $5 Taco Specials! They were full house inside so we enjoyed our meal outside which was nice to enjoy more relaxing vibes. Dad got the Pescado (Fish) Taco Plate which was Opakapaka and he annihilated 2 out of the 3. There was a chipotle crema on top and he said the Fish was nice and crispy since it was battered with tempura. Mom and I got enchiladas, she got Mineras (Vegetable option) & I got the Picadillo (Ground Beef with potatoes) enchiladas. It's definitely a good portion with 3 enchiladas with lettuce, radish slices, crema on top and a side of Rice with corn and carrots throughout and Creamy Pinto Beans! To finish our meal, we scored the last slice of the Strawberry Vanilla Tres Leches Cake! Perfectly soaked with the three milks, a little dash of strawberry jam on top and light strawberry whipped cream topping and filling. Geo said the last piece was the largest! Thanks to Geo and the staff at Roasted Chiles for making our dinner a delicious experience!

No worries; it's worth waiting for. She gave me a pager, and we watched the chickens while we waited for our 4 soft birria tacos. As always, it was worth the wait. The burria was plentiful, with cilantro and diced onion, on the tacos. The flavor was excellent, especially with their tomatillo salsa and a squeeze of fresh lime. Glad to see the sliced radish, the pickled jalapeño and (oh, man) the marinated carrot slices! As if that isn't good enough, we also got a burria burrito to go. Let's start by saying, they pulled into the pole position of my most delectable Mexican food bite and place in Hawaii (albeit only had on Oahu and Maii, lol). My order: Chorizo Burrito Bowl and maaayynnn Thai thing was loaded. Starts with a layer of rice, beans, chorizo, green and red cabbage, pico de gallo, avacado, topped with chipotle aioli. Then on the side is a lime, pickled carrots, jalapeño, radish, and I chose spicy salsa. The bowl is huge,, and i stuffed my face and finished every bite haha; it goes to say hot great it was. The rice and beans are a perfect layer of goodness, the crunch from the fresh veggies, that smoky and spicy (light) of the chorizo, richness of that avacado, and finished off with that nice creamy aioli. Then I hit it with the kick or the lime and extra spice of the salsa. I'm in heaven. Oh then add side tart, tangy, and crunchy bites of the pickled veg. Waaaaawhoooo was my tummy happy. I'd like to say, I want to come back and all their other options such as their soft and questo tacos or biria. However as I am not in Maui much, probably going back for my home run. Hopefully next time someone else is with me so I can try their choices haha. The staff were friendly and food came out in good time. They are located on the back side of the food truck area, so don't pass them by if you just jump into the main area. Definitely recommend them for all who havent.
