We enjoyed this place. So we came back for some 'ono grindz ans great drinks. August the bartender remembered us from last time. He took our drink order and what we wanted to eat. Soon enough everything came out. The food was very delicious. I enjoyed the tacos they were small but very filling. Steak, Cilinatro and onions with a little bit of salsa. We'll be back for more drinks and great food. The Ambiance is it's a cute cozy place with T.V.s playing the sunday football. They also have a bar you can sit and eat at. Thank you Augusto for great service you're the bomb.

Did a quick phone order pickup here and everything went smoothly! Food was ready in 15-20 minutes and was nice and hot when we received it. We ordered a wet burrito, nachos and taco salad. The asada was tender and had good flavor.

If you are looking for decent Mexican food on the island, check this place out. It's in a strip mall so there's plenty of parking. Inside had a lot of TV's that they were showing the games. Server was very friendly. We had a group of 10 and didn't wait too long for our food. I ordered bean dip with the chips and it unusual. They also charge you $3.99 for chips and $1.99 for refills. It was more whole beans than refried beans. The salsa was a home run! I also ordered cheese enchiladas, and the red sauce was different. My wife ordered ceviche and she really liked it. The decor inside was your typical Spanish decor. They do not have a restroom inside the restaurant, but a local one in the strip mall you have to get a key for.

We went back based on previous experience years ago and a recommendation in the blue book. 1st disappointment was that they have no bathroom. They give you a code and you walk half a block down a hall to use a mall restroom. 2nd disappointment was that chips and salsa do not come with the meal. They charge $3.99 extra and $1.99 for refills. The chicken chimichanga was very good and came with guacamole and sour cream, but nothing else. It was no better or worse than we would have gotten in Seattle in a neighborhood restaurant. The enchilada langostine had a moderately spicy sauce but otherwise little taste. The shrimp were the tiny cocktail shrimp about the size of a dime. This dish came with beans and rice which were both bland and boring. The 3d disappointment was an added 4.2% "service charge" to cover the credit card fees. No other restaurant we have eaten at in the last 2 weeks did that. Our server explained that if we paid cash, she could take it off but a debit card did not count as cash. We took it off the tip. Chelsea gave us excellent service for an otherwise boring meal. We will not be back.

We had a great dinner at Roasted Chiles! Fajitas were the Star, chicken, shrimp, and steak. It's hard to pay extra for chips and salsa when you're accustomed to getting the free, but things are expensive so I get it. The salsa is fresh and made daily, yummy. The fajitas were great and come with a hot, hot, hot dance if sweet Charlotte is your server!

Food was very good, with extremely tasty beans and rice. The tortillas were exceptionally soft and mouthwateringly tender. The tortilla chips were outstanding, fresh, hot, seasoned perfectly. The chips were so addicting that I had to push them away so I would have room for my entree. The only disappointment was that our nachos (generously portioned for $16.00, enough for 4 people as an appetizer) used melted Velveeta-style cheese sauce. It was reminiscent of movie theatre nachos. I am not a snob; I love me some movie nachos! I always order those! But when in a fine establishment such as this restaurant, where the service is friendly and welcoming, beautiful decor, fine selection of liquors and tequila, I just expected something different for the price point. The langostino enchiladas were super sexy: the tender enchiladas were sauced with a green chili cream, with trails of garlic flavor swirled througout, little nuggets of sweet langostino meat, yummmay! I would definitely order those again. No chile rellenos to be found at dinner. Sadness. We spent $80 for dinner for two people, one beer, and one appetizer, no dessert. It's definitely a date-night type of place.

    Pescadillos?

The food here is pretty much authentic. So far everything I tried I loved. This time there were no complimentary chips and salsa but that's expected with the price of everything going up. I ordered the pescadillos this time. Basically mini empanadas stuffed with mahi mahi and a thick scoop of guacamole on top! Fantastic!

We ordered 3 items from the Happy Hour Menu: Tuna Crunch, Sunomono, and Kimchi Dip. Tuna Crunch and Sunomono was my favorite. The Tuna Crunch had garlic chips, chili crunch, and ponzu sauce poured over table side. The Sunomono looked simple with a stack of cucumbers but it also had the most addictive sauce of Garlic Tamari, Chili Crunch and Micro Cilantro. The Kimchi Dip was delicious but I'm not a huge fan of Yorkshire Puddings and would rather had crostini's or bread for dipping. My cousin ordered an Old Fashioned and a Manhattan and he said the drinks were made real good. Another cousin and I opted for Alcohol free drinks, my cousin had one with grapefruit and I enjoyed my "martini" with mango and lilikoi (passion fruit). The Signature Sushi Rolls were delicious. We shared the Anuenue (Rainbow) which included Crab, Ahi, Salmon, Hamachi and Ebi and the Nani (Beautiful) which included Spicy Salmon, Cucumber, Avocado, Yakiniku Sauce, Sweet Soy and Micro Greens. We also ordered the Katsu Pork Belly which our bartender recommended. There's 6 crispy pieces atop Rice, Katsu Sauce, Cabbage and Japanese Curry Mayo. My cousin got the Hot Rock Maui Nui Venison Striploin which was cooked on the Hot Rock for 15 seconds per side and served with 4 Homemade Tortillas and Shiso Chimichurri. Overall, food was pretty good but of course quite expensive and located on a tourist spot. Thankful for Kamaaina discount and the beautiful sunset views!

Walked in before 5:00pm with no reservation for a party of four. Well, that was a mistake. Despite idle wait staff and maybe only five occupied tables out of 20-30 total they made us wait for about a half hour. The reason was other people made reservations and were expected. When they finally sat our party the restaurant was still 2/3 empty. There was really no reason to keep us waiting that i could see. When you see someone in the party is disabled and using assistive devices you should be more accommodating. It kind of felt like we were being punished for not having a reservation. Also, expect a 3% service charge for the back of the house. Really, for the prices they charge for mahi fragments you could pay those people without a surcharge. Portions here are tiny. My mahi fragments were dry, over spiced and served with two unseasoned baby bok choi leaves and a slice of grilled tomato. For the price of almost $40.00. The beer was good and so was our server so they got one star for that. Otherwise, this place is touristy, overpriced and the maitre d' is slow on the uptake. Overall, there are plenty of great restaurants on Maui, recommend you try one of those.

Located across the street from the Shops at Wailea, they are situated on the second floor of a smaller shopping complex and have a lot of open air seating. With all the doors open, even the indoor seating has good ventilation. The food was outstanding - every dish was bursting with flavor and contrasting textures. Make sure to listen for the numerous daily specials. My favorite dishes of the night were probably the starters and the desserts. One of the starters was a special - ahi sashimi with shaved hearts of palm, citrus, micro greens, and some sort of spicy oil - so it had elements of salt, sweet, tart, and spicy with softness, crunch, and chew. Even my vegetable, sauce, and garnish hating daughter absolutely loved this dish. The calamari was also a standout - the breading was crispy and had a nice kick to it. We ordered the ahi entree as well, and it was also delicious, as was the cauliflower, which visually wasn't that appealing since it wasn't roasted, but it was absolutely delicious. Dessert options were communicated verbally by our server (they must change frequently). We opted for the ginger molasses cake, which was suffused with ginger flavor and doused in a ginger-infused syrup - like a sticky toffee cake but better. The vanilla bean panna cotta was also delicious - a more delicate dessert - though the strawberries were not the sweetest. Service was great and attentive when we first arrived at 5:30. As the restaurant got busier, it became harder to find our server. We waited for quite a while after we finished our dinner. Fortunately, they had a lot of people attending to the tables and when we asked them for a dessert menu, they were able to track down our server. All in all, a fantastic dinner. We are excited to add this restaurant to our Wailea list and look forward to returning upon our next visit.

We took the pizzas home, and they were delicious. Our favorite was the sweet kalua. It was not overly barbecuey or sweet, but actually pretty savory. The margherita pizza was good too. In general, their pizza stands out because there is not too much crust. It was not crispy, but instead airy and on the doughy side. The reason I am giving 3 stars instead of 5 is because one of our group members found a blonde hair baked into his pizza slice, not just sitting on top. That was disappointing, especially since the pizza itself was actually very good.
