I ordered the Teriyaki Char with crispy green beans, and my husband got the Double Char meal with fries. Somehow, the food tasted even better than what we remember from California! My burger was cooked to a perfect medium -- which is rare to find at a fast-casual spot -- and it made such a difference. Everything was hot, fresh, and flavorful. We also had the pleasure of chatting with the manager, Danielle, who was incredibly friendly -- and funny enough, she's originally from California too! Small world! Every employee we encountered was welcoming, kind, and made sure to greet us when we arrived and wish us a good night when we left. My wife always gets rings and I fries. The food arrived and the first thing I noticed was the onion rings. These had to be made fresh cause they didn't look frozen. And the burger was dressed nice too. Although I am smash-burger fan I don't discriminate others. This wasn't a smash but it wasn't overly fat either. When I bit in to one of the rings, Wow. I could bite thru the ring and not pull the onion out. Great rings. Now the burgers turn. It was cooked medium just as I requested, just a hint of pink and juicy. We stopped by because it was recommended to us by more than one friend. We got burgers and hotdogs, both were excellent. The burgers have a real flame broiled aroma and flavor that make it a winner. A single is plenty for me, but I did notice some of the big guys ordered a double. They fix it " your way", so cheese , lettuce, pickles , condiments in any combination is not a problem. The hot dogs are excellent, too. Get it Chicago style for the full treatment! The restaurant is 50's decor, with a nod to Chicago. It is friendly , clean and bright with plenty of seating. They do a big carry out business, so there can be a line at the counter where you order.

As for the fried mushrooms. I found them pretty much ordinary. A nice surprise were the brussels sprouts with balsamic and goat cheese. Really really good. The service is very friendly however very slow. The food is consistent as last time. Just seems on Friday night you should look for another place if you don't want drama.
