I had the prime rib 8 oz steak with mashed potatoes and asparagus. It was delicious! It was a little bit tough but that gorgeous flavour made up for it! I'm a believer in Earl's steak! I had rhe Calamansi Caipirinha with it. The Calamansi Caipirinha is a yummy, citrusy non-alcoholic drink that contains calamansi, pomegranate, green tea and lime juice. Very refreshing! I would come here again for sure. The waitress and hostess were really friendly and attentive. read more

After having some customer service issues with this Earls location I have to give credit where it's due, the management here really got there staff on board and came back full swing. Wow. Kevin makes the best caesars never a miss with this drink. My bf had the Royal with cheese burger and I had my spicy wontons and dynamite roll with no mayo and I side of siracha. Not one thing out if place. My bf didnt even know what to do with his burger the thing was huge and he devoured it, said it was the best burger he's had in awhile. I appreciate a company that cares about their patrons and their image, and Earls does, they kept their word and followed through with great service and food, still my favourite location in the city. Thanks to the management I love it all over again. read more

This place is amazing! Food is great (fresh and flavorful). But the best thing about this place is the service. Our server Gianna was the most informed, fun and high spirited person. She made my experience! Ambiance is nice. If you're new to town or a local you're missing out if you don't stop by. read more

I went there for lunch with a former colleague. Neither of us has been there for over 10 years so we thought we'd check it out for old time's sake. Food was good. My halibut in my fish & ships was light and juicy although I was hoping for the real deal - heavy batter with dripping grease. Although it was good, I'm not sure if I would order it again for almost $18, at Earls, for fish & chips. Although service was attentive, it was a bit much. We were asked twice (by 2 different wait staff) to place our drink orders and the 2nd one was less than 1 minute after the the1st one. During the course of our lunch, we were asked THREE times how our food was by our waiter and someone else. The first was less than a couple of minutes after our dishes had been delivered. We had not even taken our first bites yet. It was like being bombarded by dim sum ladies pushing dim sum carts! read more

Being the tourists that we were, we were just wandering around the downtown Vancouver/Robson St area and decided to eat here on a whim. Luckily, it was a very short wait, and they were very accommodating since we wanted to sit outside, near a tv, and by a heatlamp. On this particular Saturday, they had $1 off martinis, so I ordered a lychee one. Even with the $1 off, it was still kind of expensive, but the drink itself was good. Then my friend and I split the prawn dynamite roll, West Coast Prawn salad (they split-plated it for us), and spicy seafood linguine. Yes, it was a lot of seafood, and slightly expensive, but I think everything in Vancouver is expensive. It was also very delicious, and our waitress was pretty attentive too. read more

We ate at Earl's on Top a couple of weeks ago while I was visiting home and still love that place. The service was great, the patio is lovely and the food was tasty. I had the chicken and brie sandwich with fig jam, YUM. The white wine sangria is a must!! read more

Knowing nothing about Earl's and not having a phone charged to look up reviews, we went in blindly and were delighted to find that this is a great restaurant chain. I had the brie, fig and chicken sandwich which was really good. My companion ordered a steak which he said was cooked medium rare as he asked and had great flavor. We were dressed casually and noticed that it was a mixed bag with some casually dressed as well and others dressed for a night out. The decor of Earl's is a lot of dark browns and earthy, reminding me of a steakhouse. The large windows were cool and the night view of the city added a nice touch. The dresses that the ladies wear that work here are meant to be sexy, but in my opinion, leaving some mystery is part of being sexy. It appears to be the dress code to wear mini skirts. I would recommend to the management to let them dress more appropriately for a restaurant as this isn't a nightclub or bar. Food: 4 Service: 3 Ambiance: 3 Parking: 2 read more

You can never go wrong with the spinach dip. A+ for the spinach dip! Thick, cheesy, full of flavour, and comes with a heaping pile of ciabatta bread slices. Zero complaints here. Just a tip: the Lougheed location discontinued the spinach dip, so keep that in mind if you're heading to that location! I believe that the other ones still make it, so head on over :) read more

This place hit the spot after two weary travelers had a end of trip hangover. By hangover I mean it's one of those days, last day of vacation-you think you're so slick when you book your flight for later in the day, yet your stuck with 2-4 hours to burn between hotel check out and flight. I'd rather be lounging in my hotel bed, but oh no! checkout is at 12, flight at 5. We both wanted to do a little souvenir shopping and found Earls for some lunch. They had precisely what I might've imagined craving - chowder, bread, salad combo. It was nice and the service was solid, sincere. Kind of wild, this is the second resto - that we have to climb large staircase to second floor. Appeared to be a good place for business lunches. Bright lighting at the bar, but cozy-dim at the booths and surrounding tables. We sat directly in front of a TV tuned to sport. Washroom was super dark, thought I was in a nightclub. Nice though, clean. Had a hoppy IPA with my lunch. read more

Sitting outside on the balcony in the evening sun was perfection for a Tapas style dinner at a good price. We had 3 starters which were all delicious. The wine selection was good. read more

-Amazing sharing plates -Cauliflower Wings were a must -- vegan dip was so believable and exceeds expectations -Nice staff and ample service (above and beyond, exquisite -Chips were really good even if they are just plain chips! -Spin dip was flavourful and creamy with perfectly toasted bread! More than enough dip for the bread ratio, but lent itself to more dipping options ie. with chips and cauliflower! -Love the pride decorations. -The toffee cake was spongy, dense, and paired wonderfully the caramel sauce. The la mode really took the cake! (No pun intended!) read more

I got lunch from them. The food was really delicious and the take out service was prompt. Would appreciate if there was a separate area to pick up as the entrance was too narrow and people were a bit squished which is not a good during a pandemic. Maybe they can also do curbside pick-up. Just a suggestion if they want more people to order during this time. read more

We were pleasantly surprised by how good our experience was at Earls! It's known as a restaurant chain with no acoustics. We walked into the Broadway location on a Friday night and walked right back out - IT WAS DEAFENINGLY LOUD! It made me cringe. We tried the Robson location and it was loud, but doable, so we stayed for a meal. I am so glad we did! The server was one of the best I've ever had. I was greeted and offered a drink within about 20 seconds, and she checked on us regularly until our meals came when she disappeared to let us enjoy our meals - as it should be! I ordered the Green Juice, and it was honestly the BEST non-alcoholic drink I've ever had! I would go back just for that drink! Our meals were prepared perfectly. Everything went really well, and as the rush died down so did the noise. I would definitely return. read more

We visited the restaurant twice in a 3 day period as on our first visit we had an absolutely fantastic server named Alexa. She encouraged us to return and so we did. We happened to get her friend on the second visit. She was also terrific! Hannah. We spent time getting to know Vancouver and suggested things to do from Alexa. She was pleasant, social and supper appropriate for my 13 year old as well as myself. I don't think I have met such a fantastic server in a very long time. I you rock Alexa! Thank you for your amazing service and conversation. read more

Carlene & Bianca were so amazing. The food was good but the service was a different class. Highly recommend it. Can't wait to come back

Best plate of food in a long time! Ordered the 6 oz. steak frites ($21) yesterday afternoon and it was amazing! Everything on the plate was bursting with delicious flavour. Fresh, hot and perfect. The add-on Cabernet jus is to die for - I could have gone through a soup bowl of that stuff! Steak tender and cooked to perfection (medium rare). That plate was 10/10. However, a few quibbles. This place obviously does not want kids as customers. No kids' menu, no kid-size cutlery (giant dinner forks are all they have!). This is a downtown place for business types and no apologies for that. Staff was friendly to me and 7-year-old granddaughter, and "child portion" of chicken tenders and pasta Alfredo was recommended. I was clearly told the bowl of pasta was "much smaller" than the regular serving, so why was I charged the full $14 menu price for it? If you suggest it as a child's portion, then charge accordingly. The pasta was dry and went mostly untouched, but the chicken tenders were plentiful and tasty. Although my granddaughter was most interested in the lovely crisp frites on my plate. This is a huge place with a central bar, and few customers at 2pm, so why cram everyone into a small area in front of the bar, surrounded by televisions playing sports? Looked like nobody was paying any attention to them, but they were all on, as was loud music. C'mon! One or the other! The music was far too loud, and the TVs distracting to the eye. What happened to being able to simply relax and enjoy a good meal and conversation? We should have asked for a window table. Sitting by the bar amidst loudly speaking/drinking men and American football is not my idea of comfort. As I looked around I saw acres of empty tables, except in our bar area and a couple of window tables people had obviously been smart enough to request. Our server must have gone off duty while we were eating (nothing wrong with that), as she was nowhere to be found when we were ready to leave, and we got tired of waiting for our bill, so we got up and put our coats on, preparing to leave. That got someone's attention, and our bill was brought when I asked for it. I had planned to leave a decent tip as the service up until then had been friendly, food was fine and arrived without delay. But I was annoyed at being charged full price for the "child portion" chicken and pasta. We ordered it on server recommendation as a "kid-portion" item, and I felt "tricked" by the full-order charge. There went the tip. That probably sounds mean-spirited, but in the moment I was annoyed and felt the amount of the tip now went to cover what I saw as an overcharge. If we were paying our own server, I would have asked her about it, but since she was no longer there I didn't feel like explaining it all to another staff member. Definitely not a family-friendly place, but great steak frites! read more

Spent a lovely Valentines Day dinner with my girlfriend at Earls On Top on Robson last night. The team went above and beyond to bring out flowers and a card during dessert, making a perfect end to such an enjoyable night. We ordered the calamari, steaks (Cajun and Truffle), and the chocolate cake; all brought out in perfect timing and cooked to a tee. The hosts, waitress (our server Robyn), and manager (Kameron) showed professional and personalized accommodation. I highly recommend choosing Earls on top for your next night out if you're looking for great food, a lively atmosphere, and most of all, quality service/people. Thank you again for such a memorable night! read more

Great place for lunch on a beautiful Sunday. The Happiest Hour menu is daily from 3-6pm and 9pm to close with food and drink choices. Had the Bigger Better Burger with garlic fries. Very tasty. Their house made craft sodas are very refreshing too. Will definitely be back to try their Signature Caesar (drink) next time. read more

Food was pretty good here. We are from Seattle, and we got seated by the window which was nice. But we were not greeted by a waiter for a good 15 minutes. Big turn off. I had to go and get someone. Service was pretty average. We had the curry and the chicken and Alfredo. Both were good. I had the curry mild but it still had a small kick to it. Overall good food but not at all worth the wait and lack of service. read more

I'll admit, I was a little dubious when I saw pizza, steak and sushi on the same menu. I had to go back outside to make sure I didn't accidentally walk into a Cheesecake Factory. Nope. It's Earls Kitchen all right. Let me tell ya, my skepticism ended at the menu because old Earl pulled it off! We were a party of four and when our food showed up it looked like we ordered from a United Nations cafeteria. Seriously, some of us needed wasabi and some of us needed parmesen cheese? Yet magically, we were all over-the-moon with our food. From fresh bright sushi rolls to a perfectly cooked filet, it was all fantastic. The food was only slightly outdone by the terrific staff. During our meal three or four different girls came to our table to take the order, refresh drinks, and bring our food. Each one of them was super sweet with great senses of humor. Hey Earl! Whatever you're doing, don't change a thing. read more

If I could leave 0 stars I would. I don't know what is happening to this place. Everything takes awhile, service is slow, management seems sloppy and the food is so overpriced now. For the same value you can go somewhere upscale. Sad to see this place going so downhill. I hope in the future they will turn things around. read more

Had a lovely dinner on the patio last night. Great service and the food was amazing! Will definitely return soon.

Great terrasse on Robson. The food and drinks are good and service is super good. We had the Guagamole chips. Very tasty. The service is awesome, Sophie from France who knows the area quite well gave us great recommendations for the food and cocktails and even our next step in Victoria. read more

We had just arrived in Vancouver after a long drive from Seattle. This was our first time to visit the city and we didn't have a clue where to go to calm down our hanger pangs. So we started walking, peeking into storefronts trying to find a bar or pub to have a cocktail a bite to eat. We were relieved to find Earls - it fit the ticket! We sat at the crowded bar and ordered drinks. We chose a couple of dishes off the happy hour menu: nachos and pizza. They were both tasty. The service was friendly and the venue upscale and trendy, though casual. It was humming when we were there. It's obviously a popular spot. read more

-Happy hour 3-6, 9 to close, everyday - Very standard, dimly lit and warm interior. The bar gives off the conveyor belt sushi feeling because it is one ring. The rest of the half-circle booths faced the bar. It can be crowded and hard to walk around - My Lois Lake Salmon was delicious, the fish was perfect. Rice was flavorful with bacon bits, green onion, and was very soft. The brussle sprouts (seasonal) was unfortunately very oily and a slight burnt - The steak frites has a lot of fries. A whole lot of fries. If you're into fries, that is a good thing. read more

Had the most lovely time here! We were helped both my Bianca and Cam - so friendly and attentive. The food and vibes were equally all time. Such a nice little haven in downtown Vancouver, sit on the back patio if you can :) We will for sure be back! read more

The thing that stands out for me in this place is the service and their effort to make sure that clients are happy, which is what elevates it to a five. I have been here twice lately, and several times before that, once with two friends ,once just with one. Spinach and cheese dip appetizer and the margarita pizza appie were great--large enough for a meal in themselves. Blackened chicken was quite tasty--spicy, which for me was perfect, my friends could have done with less. Cheesecake and celebration cake for dessert were good. They have a sticky toffee chocolate pudding which seems to be their own take on the sticky toffee pudding. While very tasty and rich, it is not strictly the dessert most of us know, as it is mixed with a chocolate sauce, so just be aware of that, if it is what you are looking at. Noise level is generally acceptable. They have a nice small outdoor patio which is great in the warmer weather. read more

Recently had great service when a friend of mine had a mix up with her order. The lounge manager, Cam, brought us a bottle of prosecco for the error and made sure we were well taken care of. He turned what could have been a lousy experience into a fun and enjoyable evening. read more

I am so impressed by the food in Vancouver. Granted, I think I only ate at chains because I didn't know any better, but everything I've eaten this week has been delicious. This place was no exception. Though I found it weird that a sports bar served sushi, it was delicious. I was stuffffed at the end of it, and my Mexican g&t was delicious as well. I will say, I was so full after the chili chicken appetizer, I wish I'd gone for the black bean burger on a lettuce wrap instead, but you live and learn. read more

Usually have a great dinner whenever I come up but this time one words sums it up.....Salt. Salty uninspired steak frites. It was literally steak with fries on the side. Delicious, well-priced and fun drinks. I'm definately a fan of the Lemon Meringue! The Gum Drop and Cheap Date shooters are both worth trying as well. Very sweet and melt in your mouth. I love the location of this earls, It's right on the main shopping district, so if you get a good table near the window, it's great for people watching. It's a nice restaurant. Modern, trendy with a warm kind of vibe. I've never really had any issues at this location. My favorite dish at earls has got to be the spinach salad with honey glazed toasted pecans, grilled chicken and Bree cheese. Anything with Bree cheese and honey glazed toasted pecans is delicious! It is just me, but don't you think Bree cheese and toasted pecans sounds pretentious? For some strange reason I sometimes classify foods in my mind as pretentious or not. Like gold leaf would be at the end of the spectrum of pretentiousness and a burger on the other end of non pretentiousness, unless of course it has bree cheese, a pecan encrusted chicken breast patty with heirloom tomatoes, major pretentiousness overload! Anyways I'm getting way off topic....back to earls. The service at this location is good, nothing stellar. It's definitely a great place to just relax and chill and have great conversations with a bunch of good friends. St3Fin read more
