This place looks really nice and a bit fancy ( but not too much). There is a nice terrace and the inside bar is really nice too. The staff was very nice and friendly. The service was fast We ordered the garlic chicken Caesar salad with the Cajun chicken sandwich. It was really good, both chicken styles were really tasty. The quantity was good too This place is nice for a chilling diner in a nice atmosphere read more

Good food, drinks were good, nice environment, clean, and great service. Great place to meet friends & family.

Service was fantastic, one of the best waiters we've ever had. Food was not so great. Wings were dry and bland. Wife had ribs and mentioned they lacked flavour. Suggest the management try what's being served for themselves. Beer was good ;) read more

Nothing out of the ordinary for Earls standards. On a Friday night, it's bustling with lots of people. To get to the entrance, you have to climb up a set of stairs that aren't well lit and a little narrow. Not sure if there's a set of elevators for access, else this place isn't wheelchair accessible. I had a Moscow mule to drink and it was really watered down (found out at the end that the syrup was at the bottom). Our table had 3 of these drinks and it was all the same. The bartender never stirred our drinks. Food wise, everything was okay. I had the bacon cheddar burger and my fries were room temp, and my bf had the ribs and chicken which he said was not bad. Friends had the quinoa power bowl. One had asked "no beets" and the person who took our order, I think it was the manager, said there's no beets. My friend was surprised since she's had it many times and behold... it arrived with beets! Not my number 1 or 10 pick for food on Robson but might be good for happy hour? read more

Came here for lunch with some colleagues and tried their cedar plank salmon. The fish was covered in little bits of mango, which was delightful. I thought the brown rice was going to suck (aka bland), but this was not the case at all. My only complaint was that they really dropped the ball on our orders. We were in a group of 20 or so, and one waitress took care of each "side" (think of a long rectangle). Within 20 minutes, everyone on 1 side was served, at pretty much the same time. Then we waited, and waited.. the rest of the dishes didn't show up for another 20-40. People on the side that got served first were starting to get up and leave by the time the last dish on my side showed up. This was pretty unacceptable. So much for trying to eat as a group. read more

You can never go wrong at Earl's they have a happy hour with a ton of selections and everything is good. It does get kind of packed and that is the only drawback. But I love this chain and this location was solid . Try the veggie tofu tacos, the street corn with guacamole and also the shroomami bowl. All amazing read more

Giana was my server this evening. I wanted to take a moment to write this review about her. My friends and i got the most spectacular treatment and experience that i received this evening. Giana was both extraordinarily personable and kind. I watched her have to deal with a group of disgruntled and rude clientele. They made derogatory and rude remarks to her face and behind her back. I watched her handle herself with dignity and the utmost professionalism. Regardless of this hurdle in her shift she never wavered in her service and delivery of exceptional client experience for all of her tables. Giana is that girl. I am so grateful to have had her take care of us this evening. She made all the difference in our evening. Thank you Giana for being such a genuine and kind human being. Your sense of humour and your grace is an exemplary display of what more people should strive to be like. read more

I've had Earls in Edmonton, Calgary and Toronto and I found them all to be quite average to be honest. So after a Canucks game I was starving and didn't expect much. Our group went to Earls and I just ordered my usual bacon cheeseburger with sweet potato fries and thought nothing of it. The service was great for a busy hockey game night and our server was always at our table refilling drinks or asking us how we were doing. The food came out pretty quickly and I must admit it looked and tasted great! My burger tasted freshly ground and the bun and bacon were crisp and tasty. The sweet potato fries were quite snappy and not greasy at all. I really enjoyed the entire meal and the burger was super filling on it's own. The selection of beer was also vast, with many local and domestic brews in stock. I wish all Earls were this good, but it's too bad most of them aren't. If the level of food was as great as this one, I can see more opening up across Canada. read more

Brodie was with us at the bar, and he was excellent. He made awesome drinks, and was very charming. will definitely be back!

Decided to come check out this Earls over lunch with a bunch of coworkers. I haven't been to an Earls in years (since being GF and vegan) but they had a few options that I was excited to try. I ordered the Quinoa and Avocado Powerbowl (Roasted squash, beets, green goddess dressing, toasted pumpkin seeds, crispy chickpeas) but subbed dressing for a vegan option and garlic fries. The salad is not small and he price of it ($17) is not worth the portion. The fries were never missed and after checking 3 tines, and having everyone finish their meals, they finally came. No apologies either. Service was great in the beginning (we came around 11:45 on a Wednesday) but once the place got busy, the service was not really existent. I asked 3 times for ketchup (as I ordered, and 2 additional times) and it was delivered by a different person. Lunch is a super busy time and they seemed to be under staffed. They did have a manager come up to tables and ask how everyone was doing. The locations and atmosphere is perfect for drinks and watching the games. However, it's Not for me. read more

Great first time experience at Earls Robson. Ordered the usual spinach dip, Nashville hot chicken sandwich and chicken street tacos with few rounds of drinks. Everything was great. The server (Binita) was friendly, welcoming, fast. Even though with the covid 19 pandemic, all the staff had a great attitude and welcomed us with a smile. They had recycled menus or you could simply pull up the online menu. Disposable sanitized napkins were also placed on our table. I am definitely going back for the patio. read more

So disappointing. The food has gone downhill, the service has done downhill. The prices haven't gone downhill. Earls used to always be so good. The menu has gotten smaller. The plates have gotten smaller. Not worth it anymore. read more

Even with all this smoke in Vancouver we still wanted to hit the Earls patio because it's so cute and nice They have hipster style string lights that they turn on after dark and the patio is cosy and quiet but always bustling. Happy hour starts after 9 o'clock and we took advantage of the jugs of sangria which was the drink special on Sunday evening for $20/Pitcher and Rhino pitcher of beer was only $12!!! Got the swordfish tacos. After ordering, our waitress was kind enough to make sure we knew the fish is grilled not deep friend or breaded just by overhearing me talking from the next table over about how I love deep fried fish tacos. I really appreciated her picking up on that and coming back to our table to clarify but I still ordered them anyways and the grilled fish tacos were super tasty and probably a healthier version. read more

Overall, would Defo go back for happy hour but not at full price unless just drinks Dry ribs (good, better when we added lemon) Lobster tostadas (bland, one blob of jalepeno cream under not on the tostadas) Garlic fries (oily as hell but tasty) Hot chicken sandwich (no spice, super mild) read more

Went here for brunch this morning- the patio was great, and it's bigger than you would think with tons of space! It was my friend's birthday, and the host asked what he could to make it special suggesting a few desserts and even a birthday sparkler to go along with it. Such a nice surprise at the end of our meal. :) read more

With the new covid restrictions only patios were open and Earls Robson we're very accommodating to that. Our experience was 10/10. Lauren is one of the best server that I have ever met and have really turned around our night from having a bad experience from a previous restaurant that we had just come from. I hope everyone can have the chance to have her as their server because she is the sweetest and has the best recommendations. read more

Walked in expecting an outstanding experience, but meh. Maybe it was because it was happy hour ... our table ordered a Raspberry Mojito and Moscow Mule, and were not impressed. We actually sent back the mojito as it wasn't worth the $7. Maybe it was the bartender behind the bar - who knows. However, the food was pretty good. At the table we ordered wings, Caesar salad, fish tacos and garlic fries. the wings were actually tasty along with the salad. However my friend said her food was cold (fish tacos and fries) so maybe her food was prepped before my salad and the wings ... In all, the server was fine and the vibe was cozy and quaint, but overall experience, Earls wasn't a knock out the Park compared to all the other restaurants we have visited in Vancouver thus far! read more

Worst service, would give 0 stars if that was an option. I have been to this location before and service was good however after what I experienced last night I will not return. I was at a holiday party, group of 10-12 people. We all ordered our food, I waited on my order for 1 hour and 20 minutes. Everyone in the group was served and finished eating - my food had still not arrived. Every excuse in the book from the waitress. They did offer my a free drink as the waitress was clearing the finished plates of the other people in our party. My food finally arrived, I was the only one eating as the group did a gift exchange. Honestly, worst restaurant experience I've ever encountered. The only thing they did right was comp the meal and remove the auto gratuity - I would have tipped a negative amount if I could. read more

My friend and I went to happy hour here and it was all you ever wanted from happy hour. I ordered a mango margarita and my friend ordered a strawberry and kiwi makes highball. Both drinks were actually very good. My only complaint is that the margarita was a bit too sweet but overall it was nice and refreshing. The naked highball was also very good aswell. If you're looking for a refreshing drink with some fruity bites this is what you should order. Although it wasn't sweet, it was nice if you're into something that resembles flavoured sparking water. We also ordered a margarita pizza and that was really great aswell. You really get what you pay for at earls. read more

Part of the draw for me was the fact that it is above a London Drugs. I like weird things. This was weird enough. It was a very nice location. We were seated at a booth for two just outside the kitchen and near a server station. My first thought was how much am I going to dislike this table. I really didn't, it might be in my top five favourite tables. It was secluded from people, but there was so much going on it was entertainment too. It wasn't overly noisy even. The food was solid. Good temperature. Good flavour. Good portions. We opted for the whole deal. I had a Cherry Long Island and it was the best. I probably should not have ordered the second one, but it was so tasty it was hard to say no! The garlic fries were the best "plate of fries for the table" I could have asked for. They were no truffle fries, but a decent competitor. The crispy ribs were juicy, and meaty. The steak was cooked exactly as I requested. The service was top notch. I would happily visit this location again! read more

Located on the second floor of Robson Street, this place is easy to miss. This restaurant has great atmosphere and amazing staff. Our waitress was very friendly and explained items on the menu very well. They have plenty of TVs throughout the restaurant to watch your favorite sports team. I ordered a California Chicken Burger for lunch. It was sooo good. My husband had the regular California Burger (with red meat) and he enjoyed his as well. They have a great happy hour that starts at 3pm. Food on the happy hour will be a smaller portion that the regular menu item. Only thing I didn't like was my sangria, it tasted like juice. read more

The food was generally fine, but the service was not. We didn't have a chance to finish either of our appetizers before our entrees arrived. With a hightop table full of unfinished dishes, the server offered to remove some plates when actually we would have preferred to have been able to finish them before the entrees were served. After that, we didn't see our server until the end of the meal to get the check. My sense is that tables around us had similar experiences because wait staff was generally absent. There are plenty of better options in the West End, so there's no need to go to Earls. read more

Came in on a Saturday night and got seated outside right away! The patio was nicely lit with lights and a overall good vibe! Our waitress was so kind and nice! And the only reason I'm giving this a higher rating than what'd I like just because I didn't really enjoy my chicken tacos as must as I'd liked... if you're coming in during happy hour for the chicken tacos I might recommend trying something else just because the chicken is almost sweet and that wasn't the taste I was going for. But other than that everything was good! They do have a lot of options to choose from which is nice because you don't have to have a full meal! And the price is just right! read more

Came here with friends for their late night happy hour at 9pm. The food was good, I ordered the coconut prawns with a side of fries. We were able to get a table without a reservation with no issue even though there were 7 of us. Everyone was happy with their food. Our server, Max was very friendly and had great recommendations when he first greeted us at the table and took our drink orders. However, what prevents me from giving a higher rating for this location was the speed of service and also our servers attentiveness as we waited for our food. After placing our drink orders, it took a good 10-15 minutes for us to get them. And our food order was not taken until then and we were all hungry! Our food also took a long time to arrive, probably close to half an hour. During this time our waiter did not come by to ask if we wanted another drink, more water, etc. It was not extremely busy and our section didn't seem to have that many people so I'm not sure what caused the delay. read more

ATMOSPHERE: I loved how the ambiance here was intimate and it was dimly lit. To get to the restaurant, you have to go upstairs and check yourself in with the host. They have indoor and outdoor so my boyfriend and I decided to eat outdoors. FOOD: I ordered salmon with jasmine rice and it was probably one of the best salmon I've ever had. I can tell that it was perfectly cooked because it didn't feel raw and the texture felt right. This dish also came with vegetables that were in season and I was lucky that it was fried brussel sprouts. I love my brussel sprouts! Their vegetables were flavorful as well. The Manager Nick was especially helpful! We were hoping to sit outside and didn't think it possible because it was a busy Friday evening, so he sat us at the bar and said he would do a special sweep of the space an update us shortly. I thought we'd be waiting awhile, but before we could even order a drink, we were brought to their lovely back patio. Our server Kayla was also very personable! My husband likes to ask the server to surprise him with a drink of their choice, and she met his energy and delivered! She had lovely down to earth energy, and had great banter too. Great drinks, great food, and an overall lovely experience thanks to the team and their efficient and super friendly demeanour! Will definitely come back! read more

When Earls first opened up X number of years ago (a long long time ago) they had the parrot decor, yes literally. Giant parrots all over the place. Times certainly have changed and they have gone considerably upscale, modern & trendy. The menu has changed drastically also. It has gotten a lot better, to compete against the likes of Milestones, Cactus Club, Joeys, Moxie's grill, all within a short walk's distance. In this location, you get suits, even though it is getting towards the outskirts of the CBD. Yes, businessmen out for lunch, and me being the stiff-neck collar wearing, paper pushing, pencil using, office geek, almost fit right in, minus the tie - for the day that I came in. I had a pulled pork sandwich. Normally I wouldn't order this, because I can make it at home. But I was quite pleasantly surprised! It was substantially better than what I can do :( Now I have to totally rip it off and duplicate it!!! :) read more
