    Prime rib sandwich

I love delicious food and I love it even more at a discounted rate. There is a huge selection of Happy Hour specials here at Eagle Cafe on Nimitz Highway. The garlic fries were buttery and using real garlic instead of just a sprinkling of powder is essential. The dynamite chicken and the fried noodles were also enjoyed. Their prime rib sandwich is a must! Lots of parking and plenty of seats here when Tanaka Saimin is overflowing about a block away. I have always had amazing service here and will be coming back soon. #bigboyproblems

I have been to this place years back and it appears they might have had an ownership change because everything seems to have been renovated and new. Located right across pier 38 on nimitz highway called "Nimitz center" This insides is all new and modern looking. Its airconditioned (of course) with comfortable padded seats and veneer type tables. The insides is airy comfortable and not too loud (Well at least when we was there). The staff or wait help seemed to be seasoned and knew their job well. They were pleasant And accomodating. The menu consist of the usual burgers.. entries..soups salads...etc...prices are manageable and portions are good... A good alternative to gyppies. Go check them out they are a good option

Today I got to try the Locomoco here and it was very tasty. Also, the service was very friendly and helpful.

Service was great- it's been awhile since we came back. Since we were there last, it is under new ownership. Food was good, my husband loved the fresh corned beef. The chop steak was okay--could've used more veggies --on the plus side, it did come on a sizzling platter. Will definitely come back to try other items.

I've been here at Eagle Cafe many times from the days when my office was above the restaurant around 40 years ago. The restaurant has gone through many owners and transitions through the years. Its current manifestation isn't that great. Willy and I usually rotate between Eagle Cafe and Tanaka Saimin when we are tired of eating hostess bar food. Bar food can be exceptional depending on the kitchen mama, but is way more expensive than at local restaurants. We have been to Eagle Cafe several times in the last six months but this Wednesday night may have been the last time for a while. We got to Eagle Cafe about 8:15 and there were only three other parties there. The restaurant closes at 9:00. They have live music M-F until 8:30. This Wednesday they had a solo guitarist who played covers of popular hits. Nothing wrong with his performance. And Eagle Cafe is one of the only family restaurants that employs locals musicians so that is commendable. The food prices are decent. Willy's sizzling hamburger steak with onions and mushrooms was only $20.99. And my pork chops was only $18.99. My diet soda was $3.50. And the menu selection has most of the typical diner dishes local families enjoy. The service is friendly and efficient. The waitress with the tattoos is very patient. Willy always asks multiple questions about various dishes he never intends to order every time we are there. Maybe she doesn't remember but I do. It can be irritating. The worst part of Eagle is the food. It is hard to screw up rice, which tastes ok, even at the end of the night. And the mac potato salad is pretty good, especially when you add a little salt. But Willy's sizzling hamburger steak was drenched in brown gravy and the mushrooms and onions were sparse. He was not happy with the taste. My pork chops were extremely thin, about 1/4". And deep fried, making them extremely difficult to slice with the cut-rate Chinese steak knife provided. I have the calluses as proof. Anyway, overall just ok but certain dishes are not great.

3.7-3.9 out of 5 Came to this location because it was a family friend's favorite eatery. The environment is retro modern and they even have live band/performances in house. The wait for food is not long at all and they provide large portions for the set price. Fried noodles were definitely a must try. I really enjoyed that dish There is parking within the strip but just use caution when pulling out since the storefront is at the edge where the entrance to the lot is

Had breakfast here before but decided to take my friend here for dinner before her flight to Vegas . Live entertainment on a Thursday night . Service was ok and the food was a solid 3.5 stars . My friend order their prime rib she requested well done . It came out medium well. She sent it back and the second result was ok . I ordered their sizzling hamburger steak w/ onions and mushrooms. Also it was alright it was a fresh hamburger patty with all the fixings. Support local

This place is very spacious and has vibes of a coffee shop. Couple tvs playing above the bar and nice cool ac. Today I got the fried pork belly. It was pretty fat. I miss the crispy pata. It wasn't on the menu. Service is very fast and before you order...ask them what they recommend.

update 6-20-2025 Let me start off with the service. We were seated as soon as we walked in. Our server Stephanie was friendly and checked up on us through out our meal. Today I decided to have the French Toast Combo. And my wife ordered The mini breakfast. She ordered the mini with spam and one egg and toast. My French toast was made with sweet bread. The bacon and egg came out as ordered. The restaurant itself had that clean and inviting atmosphere. Good Food and Great Service. Enjoy

I ordered the bulgogi burger omg! Yummy! Came with fries. Definitely a go to spot Portions are generous and food delicious. Oh yeah he also ordered french toast it too is a winner Annie helped us out ! Great service

Been going here for years. Food is good and price is reasonable. Service is also pretty good. We like the nightly live music. Some of the desserts appear to be desserts from Costco. If not they def look and taste like it tho

Eagle cafe is a nice local eatery that serves comfort foods. The ambiance is old school like in the 70s. The service was very good. Our waitress was friendly and helpful. Chicken Papaya soup - 3.5/5 The broth was good and tasty, but little on the salty side. The chicken consisted of wing flats and drumettes. The grab papaya was tender, not mushy or too firm. Since were arrived around 7:30p, the chicken have been in the soup for hours under heat. This made the chicken a little hard and dry. If the chicken wasn't overcooked, I would give the this dish 4.5/5. Mahi Mahi- 4/5 The Mahi Mahi was very tasty. The fillets were a bit small for our liking. That said, the Mahi Mahi was cooked perfectly. The fillets were tender, not hard and over cooked. Just increase the quantity of Mahi Mahi a little more. I will definitely return. Give Eagle Cafe a try. The good and service is worth a visit.

1 star for good service and a big clean place. As for my food, yuck. I got the garlic ahi belly and it was horrible. It definitely was NOT ahi. The fish did not taste good. It had a really fishy taste to it. It was also really white and flakey, Not how I know ahi to be. I could not bring myself to finish it. We also got a saimin for our kids and we found pieces of plastic in it. I'm guessing from the noodle package. I would not recommend this place and we most likely won't be back.

I was staaaarving so for me and baby I ordered: - Cornbread - I love their cornbread. This was my fave of all the dishes we had. - Bone Marrow - This was probably the biggest marrow I've had anywhere. Like choke marrow. Awesome. Alcohol didn't light on the whole plate so only had little bit and baby couldn't have any. Think no bourbon next time. Just sprinkle some salt and it would be perf. - Chopped - All kine goodies in this salad but the dressing was very "nothing." I added some garlic salt when I ate the leftovers and it kicked it up a notch. - Chicken Pappardelle - The pasta was terrible. So thick and doughy. Took away from the chicken which was okay. Ended up dumping the leftover pasta...which was pretty much the whole thing. - Oxtail Mac & Cheese - This was more like an Oxtail Helper (like Hamburger Helper). Very not cheesey. Baby ate some but think she wanted more cheese. Tasted better the next day. Friends had the Prime. The temp on each was given to the wrong person, which needed to be right since 1 person didn't get the roasted pot. The medium-rare one was cold. Like COLD. Strange. Overall think they fell a little short on the food. Some things GREAT, some thing the opposite, so balanced out. Will I go back? Of course, but now I know what not to get.

Price is reasonable with the portion of the food is serve. Miso Butter Fish 5/5: I will never be tried of eating & ordering the miso butter fish. It's definitely one of the best butter fish in a non-Japanese restaurant. It's buttery, with the perfect level of the miso flavor that's not salty or blend/no miso flavor. The fish it's cooked into perfection that's not overcooked. Although it's pricery compare to other dishes, but it's worth it; especially the butter fish is a pretty big size that comes w/ salad and rice. Grilled Garlic Chicken 4.5/5: The garlic chicken is not the same as a regular garlic chicken that you get from a barbecue restaurant; it doesn't have that barbecue sauce flavor. However, it's still taste pretty good. The garlic flavor is there, but not so strong that over power the taste of the chicken. More importantly, chicken is not overcooked as some restaurants can overcook the chicken. However, it comes w/ gravy on top of the chicken. If you eat it w/ the gravy, you probably will it be able to taste the garlic. Mac Nut Waffard 4.5/5 This is not the regular waffles. This "waffard" it's the Mac nut waffle that comes with their iconic custard, fruits and whipped cream. The waffle is super soft & fluffy with a crispy outside edges. Also, the waffle is not mushy, rather, it has a slightly mochi/chewy texture. The waffle is also not over sweet that actually can be pair with their famous custard fillings. Pancakes 5/5 I normally not a pancake person because I am afraid that it can be over sweet or very bland that has no taste but a flour flavor. But I fall in love with the pancake at first try because it's soooo fluffy and soft! More importantly, it's not sweet that actually can be paired with syrup and butter. However, it's also not bland that can be just eaten by itself without syrup or butter. Hands down on it! Plus, the size of the pancake is actually pretty big.
