Great Hong Kong style food! Love the tender flaming chicken, hand made fishball over egg noodles & beef in curry. The black pepper steak over spaghetti was disappointing- do not get it. Spaghetti was old and limp. Service was good- got a baby high chair with seat belt! They gifted us a Steamed Shanghai soup bun after $72 dinner bill. HOWEVER - major fail: they did not take credit card tonight. No mention of it in the beginning of dinner service. It was only when the bill came, the waitress said their computer system was down & they could not take credit card. We had to scramble and find bills and spare change to pay. The worst part was- they charged tax when we paid with CASH read more

HORRIBLE MANAGEMENT: came in with two small children and waited for a table. Another (incomplete) group comes in after us and stands by the door/counter and despite my protests, they get seated before us. In fact, they combined the next two available tables JUST to seat them together. When I complain they stare at me with blank faces and shrug their shoulders. Someone else will leave soon they say. Terrible way to do business. Despite how upset I was they said nothing else. They will never get my business again and I will tell everyone not to go there. That group did NOT have a reservation, that much I am absolutely sure of. read more

I am stunned with the quality of food, service and presentation. I've been looking around for a legit Hong Kong type resturant and here it is guys! Must try. I came here with a group of 6 people tonight and it wasn't crowded thankfully so food came really fast one after another. Service is on point. Tea kept coming nonstop for refills and the waiter made sure the food was good and if additional things were needed. We ordered fried bun with condensed milk, rice noodle with peanut and hoisin sauce, seafood pancake, steamed crabmeat soup dumpling, steamed Shanghai soup dumpling, beef casserole, sesame chicken, chicken & broccoli, beef noodles and a few more dishes. I must say the best was the rice noodle, soup dumplings, sedan chicken, beef noodle and fried bun with condensed milk. My preference :) coming back for more for sure and trying all their other options available on the menu. read more

I gave 4 instead of 3 because I am not used to such authentic flavor. It ordered the beef noodle soup & soup dumplings. I soup had parts of the cow I don't usually eat. The dumplings were tasty, fresh and hot. If you want authentic non-Americanized cuisine this place is for you. read more

Finally real hk style food without having to trek all the way to Chinatown, bemsonhurst, or 8th ave.! Lots of variety. Food was good. Service was good. Everything was clean. I'm going to be here quite often read more

Very disappointing. I was so excited to try this place out. The food was terrible. We got burnt scallion pancakes, found a sharp object inside the wonton. The claypot rice was mushy and blend. The wonton noodle was very disappointing. There was only a drizzled of oyster sauce on top. read more

In the past month, I must have ordered takeout here more than four times. Everything always comes nicely packaged. They have awesome containers for their soup and noodles. My favorite thing to order is the congee, any variation is good. Perfect comfort food breakfast/brunch item. How do they make a soup so light and fluffy? Always get the fried cruller to go with the congee. Fried crullers and congee is like milk and cookies. Special mention, the watercress dumpling is so bomb. I'll visit the store someday, but for now I'll just keep ordering delivery because of the convenience. read more

I come here all the time with my boyfriend and recently started bringing my family here. Love the food & service is nothing short of great. I even came here for valentine's day when I wanted to have a low key but delicious dinner. I would recommend the crab soup dumplings, shrimp wontons, cilantro dumplings (i forgot the other ingredient in this), chicken clay pot and crab teriyaki noodles! The lo mein is good as well and you can pick whatever topping you want to have with it. It comes with a side of soup so you can dip your noodles in if you'd like. Price is reasonable. I come here all the time when I'm craving soup dumplings. You can't find delicious soup dumplings anywhere else in Brooklyn. They even make the soup dumplings fresh, through a window where you can see for yourself. With that being said, come here and try it out for yourself!! The only thing I would have to complain about is the parking. It's in 5th ave and 86th st so it's a busy area, so parking can be difficult at times. read more

Delicious. Speedy delivery too. Very nice staff, most friendly I've encountered in a long time for a Chinese restaurant. Not even a hint of rudeness to be found. No eye rolling, no trace of contempt in their voices, just friendly, fast and sweet folks! What a difference! Get the "fat mother" rice noodle, it's the best thing on their side menu. Owners, if you're listening, I mean reading, please make it a permanent item on your menu! You're making me nervous! Also good, boneless chicken congee. Taste like what I make at home, but even better. Chicken can be a tad more tender, but the slivers of ginger make this a homerun. read more

E Noodle is my go to Chinese restaurant in the area. They have a queens location and I think Noodle Village in Chinatown is the same. There's something for everyone on the menu. I usually order the soup dumplings which hits the spot when I'm craving for it. The skin is thinner here than most places, but I prefer that. The ratio of soup and meat is perfect and it is well seasoned. I also like their rice rolls with the mixed sauce. My cousin has a peanut allergy and when we requested for the sauce on the side, they had no problem doing it. Their clay pot rice is also really good and you can order one to share. If you ask for extra crispy, you'll get more of the crispy rice around the pot. They also have a check in offer for 10% off the bill but I didn't know because the sign was too small from where I was sitting. read more

I enjoy this place so much! A constant favorite of mine. I love the congee and the pork chive dumplings (a must to get!). I haven't been to the place yet however I get off Uber Eats and I have yet to be disappointed. Can't wait to go to the restaurant and try it first hand. read more

Omg must try the Shatin Chicken Congee! I love it so much! And their steam rice rolls are lovely also.

I ordered seamless from here and it came pretty quickly. The food was still hot and delicious. -fried wontons - 9 wontons? Deep fried and it has more dough than meat but pretty good with the sauce. - braised beef noodles - yum, i love braised beef. Delicious! They also separated the noodles from the soup so it wasn't soggy. -hot rice pot - They charge you 2 dollars for the pot and I hear that they will give you a credit for 2 dollars if you bring the pot back? I got the pork with salted fish - it was good and plentiful. Really enjoyed the food here! Will definitely order again! read more

A 1 star rating? I wish I could give them NO STARS at all. -Waited almost 45 mins for a table because they gave our table away. -50 percent of the food on their menu that my friends and I wanted to order wasn't even available. -I had to wait about 30 mins for my food to come and mind you, I ordered something extremely simple; Braised beef brisket over rice. -My Bf ONLY had to wait about 40 mins for his wonton noodles. Yes, because it's so time consuming to make this dish -We had 3 waiters coming back each time to ask what was missing -No one even apologized about forgetting our orders It is extremely questionable how this place even received several high ratings. I will never come back here. Service is beyond horrible and food was OK only. read more

Four stars since the service was really good, including the owner's service. Every table ordered soup dumplings. It wasn't bad but not as good as a real soup dumpling place. Had a good variety of HK food. We got cheung fun, wonton noodles, curry, brisket noodle, and baked porkchop rice. Everything was average, but it was a cute place with something for everyone and friendly service. read more

This place needs a lot of work. The soup dumpling skins break when we tried to pick it up and put it onto a spoon, the skins were sticking to the paper and the soup leaked out, what a disaster. All six of them no matter how gentle we tried. The chicken with broccoli came with dark meat and the sauce had a red taint to it, very unusual, however; it didn't enhance the taste of it though. The fried wontons came with this nasty red sauce with shrimps in it. It was just fried wonton skins with a tiny bit of meat in it, I would say the ratio was meat 10%, wonton skin 90%. The spare rib casserole was probably the best dish of the meal, 3 Stars, still too much oil/grease and the spare ribs were chopped up too tiny. We will probably drive the extra distance to Brooklyn China town instead of the proximity to E Noodle cafe. read more

We came in on a Friday evening to find the cafe fairly quiet but not empty. My partner informed me that the restaurant was set up so that different areas had the names of metro stops in Hong King. The space was tidy with a simple clean design. We had come for the soup dumlings/shanghai dumplings but also ordered rice crepes with peanut sauce and the curry fishballs. The food came quickly. The soup dumplings were impressive. The filling was tender and the flavor was superior to others I have had. These were hot when they were served but not burning like some places serve them. The crepes were good but I have little point of comparison. The fish balls had a good curry sauce but the balls themselves were underwhelming. Mostly the rating I am giving pertains to the space, the service, and the dumplings. This was a good, quick dinner spot. Everything was quite affordable and we were full after the meal. read more

My wife and I came here because it used to be a Thai place and did not realize it had reopened as a new Chinese restaurant. We thought we would give it a try anyway. The 1 star is because all of the servers were extremely nice and courteous. The food, however, is another story. We each ordered an appetizer and an entree as we like to share and sample different things. No more than 3 minutes after ordering comes both entrees. 1-2 minutes after that come both appetizers. Within 5 minutes of ordering was all of our food at once. Working in Chinatown in Manhattan may make me a tougher critic, but I found the crab soup dumplings to be mediocre and overpriced. The chicken lo mein was completely flavorless as if it was just noodles and chicken with no sauce or seasoning. The curry beef over rice was interesting. The curry sauce was delicious but the beef was extremely grizzly and "tendony". I ended up just spooning out the sauce and eating that with the rice as my main meal. It seemed that soups and ramen may have been the way to go as mostly everybody else around us had large soup bowls on their tables, but it's 90 degrees today and soup as an entree did not seem appealing at the time. Either way, I wouldn't go back to this place. read more

Very disappointing. We went there on Saturday 4pm. The place was empty with just one table occupied. We ordered and the food came quickly. We ordered the crab meat dumplings, and it taste good (hence the 2 stars). Everything else we ordered was awful. We ordered the STEAM vegetable dumplings it turned to be Fried. We ordered the teriyaki noodle with tomato and shrimp, the tomato sauce was so overpowering I feel like I drank an entire bottle of tomato sauce. The shrimp was big but was tasteless. the noodle was oily and lame. We also ordered the fried vegetable pancake, it was the tiniest, flaky and oily pancake I ever eaten. Again, cannot taste the veggies cause it was way too oily. The service was awful too. Upon seated, we got our water / tea but then the waitress disappeared. We have no plates when our food arrived, no one to refilled our glass, we have to keep running up to the cashier to get some service. Don't come here, not worth ur $$$. read more

I came here with a group of friends during soft opening, to be honest, I was hardly impressed by the food, the mix-sauced rice noodles were sold out in the morning, like seriously, we were one of the first few customers at the restaurant. Everything else was so salty that it felt like I'd get hypertension. But, I loved the congee, that made up for the majority of the stars. Service was not great, they forgot our drink after the third attempt to waive down a server, and they forgot a ramen and had to make us wait 10 mins when we wanted to cancel (by the time we finished everything, the ramen came, my friend had to eat it oddly.) Anyway, my hubby wanted congee so we came in again on a Monday afternoon, I almost considered myself lucky to order the mix-sauce rice noodles, it's pretty pricey for what you get, it's good but it's not worth the money. Their curry fish balls were finally not so salty, but they tasted like nothing. I tried their shrimp wontons before, there's pork and shrimp in the shrimp wonton, not bad...you'd think it's awkward but there's only one place in New York that serves Shrimp Wonton with only shrimps inside. Their yellow egg noodles were very dry and tasteless. Mixed beef tendons were so plain, it didn't look appetizing. The Xiao Long Bao were very good and tasty though! The skin breaks pretty easily but the soup inside is just right. I actually enjoyed these a lot. read more

This place was recommended by my good friend. I tried their soup dumplings, I would have to say it's good but not the best. The noodle soup was definitely my favorite. Popped in randomly looking for some great local food. Such tasty dumplings and nice service... :)

First impressions, I thought the restaurant was really clean. The staff was welcoming. I felt that the prices were a bit high. I came into the restaurant with high hopes based on a recommendation of a friend. I love soup dumplings and he told me the ones from here were amazing. I liked how thin the skin was, and how juicy they were. However, the taste was nowhere near authentic. I would say it tasted like the cheap packaged frozen soup dumplings. I also got scallion pancakes and they DEFINITELY tasted like the packaged frozen ones. In a previous review someone mentioned that the soup dumplings were warm so you won't burn yourself, but I just felt that they were under steamed. Many people might argue that why did I come here to eat soup dumplings. I'll come back and give the restaurant another try for their noodles and I'll update my review accordingly. However, if you want authentic soup dumplings and scallion pancakes, you won't find it here. read more

wow im honestly surprised by the reviews here. i came here twice and i absolutely LOVED everything i tried. i actually love the soup dumplings here like better than joes shanghai. the peanut sauce cherng fun YASSSS. so good. - needs more sauce for me actually lols. the pigs feet there is also really good, i got it with my aunts and they normally dont like pigs feet but they were impressed and ate more than me =P one thing that really stuck out to me was their wontons. theres something different about them. i was trying to figure out what the flavor was inside of it, but it almost tastes like they have fermented bean curd in it? or like shrimp paste? it just stuck out to me and it was so good. oh and theres so much shrimp in there that there's a nice bite when you bite into the wonton. i never tried any of the baked stuff yet, but honestly for a HK cafe i say this is pretty darn good. maybe even better than HK tea and sushi for my brooklyn people :gasp: =P read more
