Wow, if I could give 10 stars, I would! Short version: such timely, kind, professional and honest company. Daniel the electrician was so wonderful and made the experience completely painless, especially for someone who knows NOTHING about the electrical issues I was having... I didn't even know where the breaker box was. Highly highly recommend and will use again for any electrical need! Long version: So I was selling my property and the buyer's home inspector stated 10 items they thought needed to repaired. I was referred to E I Electrical by an electrician friend of mine who was traveling and unable to do the work himself. I trust my friend and he reassured me, "don't worry! E I knows what they are doing and they take care." 30 year old female here, and I know nothing about electrical work except "this doesn't work." I was definitely worried about my lack of knowledge being taken advantage of and getting stuck with a huge bill. That was the complete OPPOSITE of what happened. So I called the main number and spoke with Joe on a Saturday and he quickly got me an appointment for first thing Monday morning! 2 days later, with a 5 hour window blocked off, Joe reassured me that the job would be done day-of. They do charge $195 deposit (that gets credited to the appointment) but don't provide quotes. I was worried because I have no idea if this work would cost me $500 or $5,000, but I just went with it. The work needed to be done, and the reviews on yelp seemed great. First I paid my $195 deposit, and immediately got an email confirmation of my time slot and receipt. The day if the appointment, my window was 8-10 am arrival time, and I received an email notification stating that the electrician was on his way, along with a photo so I knew who to expect. Daniel was there just before 8 am, right on time! I explained to Daniel that I had 10 items I needed fixed, per the buyer's home inspection, and he went through each and every item with me, walking around the property explaining a rough quote and what could be done. I was so relieved every time he said "easy" after a task. For the more complex issues, he explained what may need to happen, but reassured me he will do his best to try the simple easy solution first. One of the items was the bathroom vent fan not working, per the property inspection. Daniel went to check it out and said it simply wasn't plugged in. He plugged it right in and it worked. "Easy!" Daniel was so great and honest, where another company could have said some items need to be replaced, when the fix was simply plugging it in! Now I knew I could trust these guys for sure. Perhaps the hugest saving for me was one of the issues on the home inspection which stated that there was corrosion on 7 of the breakers. Daniel said it is about $300 to change out each breaker so that was about a $2100 problem right there! I was so nervous. Then as he went in to inspect the breakers, he said that the corrosion was extremely mild and normal wear and tear from a home. He stated that this is by no means an "immediate issue" and he would not recommend replacing those breakers for another 4 years. I explained the situation to my real estate broker, who explained this to the home buyers, and were comfortable removing this request from their list of 10 items that needed repair. Daniel was confident in his word and stated his recommendation on the bottom of the invoice, as proof for the home buyers that this is not an immediate issue. I was soooo grateful for Daniel's honest recommendation, and that he saved me $2100 on the spot. Again, you can't get more honest than this! The remaining 8 items were pretty "simple" fixes in Daniel's opinion, except for one item which took a bit longer than he expected. As we were approaching the 5 hour mark, Daniel said he needed one more hour and for me to call and schedule one more hour of work with Joe (who I made the appointment with). Joe said it was not a problem and that Daniel was free to stay as long as he needed to finish the work. In total, the work took about 6 hours, and total cost was about $1,700. So to summarize-- Daniel was so honest, helpful, reassuring and professional. He is extremely knowledgeable and able to troubleshoot some messy situations to provide a simple solution. E I has my complete trust and I love how quick they were to get me an appointment and accommodate my schedule. 5 star from start to finish. Just wonderful! I would 100% recommend. VERY TRUSTWORTHY All of the outlets in the kitchen stopped working. I've previously had "side job" electricians fix it 3+ times. Each time charging $120/hr. I don't normally post reviews (for anything) but due to the extraordinary circumstances (I think) in my ordeal I wanted to let people know how grateful I am to David for going 'above and beyond' to resolve my dilemma. My situation began when i awoke to no power, since the news weather report stated storm conditions/heavy rains I just assumed it was a power outage. But gradually I realized that there were some things that worked and others that did not (?!). My internet was out so there was little research I could do. By chance I found E I Electrical in my contact list (don't remember why) and took a chance and called. By luck they were able to squeeze in a quick check before their scheduled appointment. David came and while investigating the problem the main breaker box exploded due to faulty/corroded wiring. He was able to provide the scope of work and price estimate for the repairs and also helped me work with HECO to arrange what was needed. David already had commitments for the day and had to leave but assured me he would take care of me. Throughout the day he graciously let me interrupt him when HECO contacted me wanting more information. By the time he arrived the rains had gotten worse but he just proceeded to get started on the job. Thankfully the rains subsided and HECO had now arrived in force and quickly setup the temporary power line and worked with David to get me back 'online'. Guy that answered the phone stated he was unable to provide an estimate over the phone to put in a junction box to extend some electrical wire to an exiting outlet location. Offered to send pics and he said that wouldn't work, tech needed to be onsite to do estimate. To schedule they wanted a $195 deposit that would go toward the work, however it's non-refundable if I don't agree with the estimate... ??? I found that extremely awkward. Don't waste your time! I chose EI a year ago because of all the 5-star reviews- noticed now there are many bad reviews too. They quoted me to reconnect a pool pump and upgrade the panel - they scheduled me then cancelled- but they rescheduled for a Saturday w/o extra charge. Electrician supposed to show up between 10-12 nada - got a text around noon that he was coming soon - didn't show up until after 2. He was not briefed on what he was supposed to do - I had to tell him what was needed - he claimed he could do it another way and didn't have to change the panel - he did way less work and still charged the quoted amount- had to call on Monday to complain- so they sent another electrician to upgrade the panel. A year later we are changing the pump the installer looked at the configuration and said it was odd - he sent another electrician to check it before installing the new pump. This electrician found many things wrong with the installation which didn't meet code - so we will have to correct them before we change the pump. It's like they didn't have any knowledge of codes for pool equipment. read more

I had E I Electrical install an outlet for my new slide in Range. After it was installed the stove would not slide all the way in which presented a problem. E I sent over another electrician to assess the problem and with the help of another electrician was able to fix the problem. I had a major power issue coming off my main house breaker. Made a few calls thru weekend, no really expedited return calls. On Monday, texted for an Electrician to E I Electrical and got a timely response. Jared showed up on time as given, and hooked me up with a new (2) 100-Amp breakers, where my fire hazard in this case wasn't worth HECO's time and effort to give me and my family a peace of mind, when we actually had a fire hazard. Had such a great experience with EI Electrical! A friend had sold us their front loading washer/dryer for super cheap, and we needed to install a 220v outlet to support the dryer-- our original dryer ran on gas. My husband requested a quote via Yelp! from a few different companies, but EI was the only one who answered him back. Their initial quote was reasonable and they were able to come out quickly. I loved that our electrician showed up a little earlier than our scheduled appointment-- punctuality is a lost art in this day and age. After doing a little work and assessing the situation, Dathan determined that he needed a second pair of hands and a little more time to get the job done. However, after about an hour, his partner hadn't arrived yet and he said that he was about another hour to an hour and a half pau. I appreciated that he felt he needed the extra help for safety reasons, and also impressed that he was able to take care of the job on his own and in a good amount of time. When he was done, he showed me that there was power emitting from the outlet and even offered to help me stack the dryer. I told him that moving our washer in there was a three-person job, but thanked him for the offer. He cleaned up his work area (including the crawl space in the attic) and let me review the invoice before emailing it to us. This was such a great experience. Thank you so much, EI Electrical!
