Manita is a god send. Just moved here a couple of months ago and have been looking for a place that does eyebrows threading as my skin is super sensitive to waxing and would stay red for a few days after waxing. Got a deal from yelp for eyebrow threading and facial for $50. After many debates of where to go and many eyebrow tweezing at home, painful very painful. I decided to give Manita a chance. She was very friendly and personable when I first met her. First impression. Was a little put off by the small stall-like rooms being used for services rather than a proper open salon but okay. After getting over my first initial assessment we got started with the eyebrows and let me tell you. I didn't hurt at all! Even after two months of bushiness!! She was very skilled and very gentle. I can't wait to go back! The facial was very relaxing. Not a lot of talking which I like. She explained everything step by step of what she was doing. She even gave you hands massage while waiting for the mask to dry which I appreciate. All in all I loved both services very much. The only thing is I don't recommend facial after threading since your skin is sensitive there and to have it scrub and all sort of cream on it hurts a little. I was breaking out on my forehead a bit afterward so I'm not sure if I was allergic to the cream used or that just my skin trying to get rid of all the toxic!! I started going to Manita last year after my old threading salon closed down. I found her on a desperate, last minute Yelp search and figured I'd check it out since she was so close to my apartment. I can't say enough wonderful things about her! She consistently does a phenomenal job and her rates are perfect (I always get the punch card because it's such a great deal). She works fast but she never half-asses the job and she doesn't ask 1,000 questions and force me to talk -- which is always awkward and difficult when having hair pulled out of your face. I had a facial from her several months ago which was also wonderful. So relaxing and my skin felt great when I left. Pro-tip: call in advance to see if she has time for you to drop in. She generally stays busy so if you drop by you might end up waiting in the lobby for a while. read more

Loved my facial and eyebrow threading. Manita is incredibly precise with threading and makes sure you are happy with the shape as she goes. The facial was great too, and she walked you through every step. Her studio is a small room within a floor of other small rented rooms. That was absolutely fine for me, but if you're looking for a facial with all the frills of a full salon (fancy drinks, a foot bath or whatever while you wait) you won't find it. I've always threaded my eyebrows and i've gotten it done from a lot of people across the globe and i can tell you Monita does an excellent job. I also got my hands waxed and she was great even with that! The salon is inside sola studios. I booked my appointment online and Monita responded within a couple of hours so that's great. I would however, recommend calling them and booking because the online system just lets you send a message to the owner and not actually confirm a booking. Why is she awesome - she maintained the perfect shape. It wasn't too painful - and i think that has to do with technique, with all of my experiences, some people, like Monita manage to not make it hurt at all while with others, it hurts like crazy. She asked me what i wanted before starting. And at the end of it, it's been about 2 weeks now and my eyebrows still look great. Again, with some places i've observed they grow back too soon. Also, i have super sensitive skin and i did NOT wake up with scratches the next day, which again is huge for me, as only 1-2 places have managed to not do that to my eyebrows. Why i took away 1 star - I'm a stickler for cleanliness and the last eyebrow threading place i went to, the owner was too! everything looked clean and pristine and i kinda got used to that. Also i was given a robe to change into which was just out of the dryer and still a little damp. All in all, i'd probably come here again at least for my eyebrows. For waxing, i might just wear a tank top and still come the next time. I highly recommend her for threading. read more

I decided I wanted to try threading since I've gotten too lazy to do my own brow maintenance and knew waxing would be a no-go since I've started using Retin-A again. I read all the great Yelp reviews, and decided to take the plunge since there was a 50% off deal, and I'm so glad I did! I was in and out in about 15 mins, and Manita was really nice. I ended up buying the 6 for 10 deal, and will be back soon. Parking is not great in that area, but that's downtown in general, so just be prepared to spend a couple extra minutes trying to grab a spot on the street. read more

I made the mistake of waiting until the day before my senior prom to get my brows done...but I was in good hands here!! Threading took 10 minutes tops, and left minimal redness, that cleared within a few hours. The studio's atmosphere was calming, and so was Manita herself. Due to some former horrifying experiences, I'm very picky about where I get my eyebrows done. I found E-brow lounge on Yelp and came here on a whim while in the area. While the price is steep ($20 for eyebrow threading!), she's highly skilled and you won't be disappointed. I respect the fact that she's a one woman show, running her own business, so I don't mind paying a premium for her quality services. I went back for a second time! Decided to update my review because I got my eyebrows waxed this time instead of threaded. Even though I prefer how waxing feels, like I said in my last review, I was nervous to get waxed here because she had done such a perfect job with threading last time. But I kinda vowed to myself that I'd never get threaded again lol, because it feels like torture. Anyway, she did a perfect job with waxing too. She's just very skilled. I bought a Groupon deal for a signature facial but researched Ebrow Lounge/Manita on Yelp first to read the reviews. She had awesome reviews but everyone's own experience is subjective and I had to try for myself to believe it. She is amazing! The facial was relaxing and she uses Dermalogica products, which is a good quality skincare line. I loved how she did not make a lot of conversation with me so that I could actually relax and enjoy my time and the facial. Also, she explained every product she applied on my face and what the use of that was for, step by step. It was very informative and the extra hand massage was well needed. I also tried the eyebrow threading and I loved it-I've had it done before so I knew what to expect but I liked how she listened to the shape that I wanted and how I wanted to keep them thick. She was quick and efficient and made sure I liked the way my brows looked before she proceeded to the facial. I purchased her eyebrow package 6 for $60, which is a wonderful deal and she also informed me of her facial package 5 for $250, which I did not purchase at that time but will purchase when I come back for another threading. She was never pushy with sales, very informative, knowledgeable, and just really did her job. I loved the way my skin looked afterwards-smooth and glowing. Give her a try. I am so happy to have found eBrow Lounge and Manita since moving to Seattle and having years of experience with threading salons on both coasts. She is gentle in her technique, while thorough and detailed. She offers very good advice as well. I have gone to her for threading 2 times and one facial and am very happy with the services I have received. She designs my brows in a way that is good for my face and eye shape and they've never looked better! The facial was excellent, including a great facial massage, hand massage and eye treatment. My skin looked very good afterward! Manita has a very soothing, professional manner and I now consider myself a "regular" customer. She offers a package deal for an excellent discount, which I have purchased. I recently moved from Las Vegas and needed to find a new threading place. I read great reviews on yelp about e-brow lounge and decided to give it a try! I'm very picky about my brows so I was a little nervous about trying out a new place. I'm glad I came to e-brow...manita was great! She asked me how I like my brows and I told her just to clean it up and not take too much off. She did exactly that and gave my brows a nice shape. I had bought the $10 coupon on yelp for my first visit. Then I purchased the 6 brow package for an additional $40. That equals out to $8.33 each brow threading!! What an awesome deal! I went here for a facial. I don't get facials as often as id like to, but I have had about a dozen in my life so I feel like I'm a good judge. Manita did such a WONDERFUL job. The entire hour was spent working in my face, instead of just leaving me under the steam lamps like I've experienced before. She spent a long time working the items into my face, which is the best part if you ask me! I also liked that she had an extraction machine, but went back in to get a few stubborn guys. I hadn't had a facial in over 10 yrs, so was way overdue but it was always easy to put it off. Well, no more! I finally took the plunge and had my brows threaded for the first time ever as well. Both services were excellent. Manita does her work professionally and with care and precision. The steam during the facial was great and I felt totally relaxed in here. My skin never looked so good afterwards. I was astonished at how clean my pores were. I could get addicted to this, but seriously, keeping your skin cared for, especially during dry winter mos is essential when you're 40+. My brows looked great too; clean but still a good, strong shape & not too arched. She also carries Dermalogica products, which are a great supplement to keeping up with your skin at home. I've had the chance to use them now, and they're fragrance free and simple to use. You don't have to get a complicated skincare regime; just a couple products for cleansing & moisturizing & maybe a toner. That's all I use & will definitely not wait as long for my next facial. The place was a little difficult to find because of the construction and also probably because I suck at navigating around Seattle in general haha. Anyway, it's a small office space among other small office spaces in a giant building. Manita was very quick with threading my brows as well as a tint. I got in at 1:00 and I'm pretty sure I made it out by 1:15. I was in Seattle for a week on a small vacation, I was wanted to relax and have facial done, I searched online near the dontown area as i was visiting downtown that day, I found this place in internet, I went in there and the lady there was very warm and then i said what i wanted and she gave me an option for european facial, I did do facials before, but this one was different and very good, lots of new techniques and much safer i think, and the lady who did it was pretty good and knew what i wanted. I would highly recommend people to go and try the facial there. My skin is pretty sentisive and after the facial my skin felt lively and glowing, No make up on whole day and my friends and afmily told me my skin looked beautiful too.
