Tonight was our third time sitting in the bar area. We received menus but hadn't been asked what we'd like to drink for over 30 minutes...the previous time we had been in was the same situation. None of the staff is friendly or acknowledges that you are even there. I had to frequently try and get their attention and after no response, we finally decided to move to the dining area thinking it would be different. We sat in the dining area for over 20 minutes being walked past and disregarded even though there were plenty of servers/bussers working. The table beside us was also talking about how terrible the service had been. We decided to pay for our 1 glass of wine and head somewhere else. read more

As we entered you could hear a manager yelling at somebody upstairs. The ambiance was just average. Waitresses and wait staff were walking back and forth doing nothing (but interfere with any atmosphere) while we waited 15 minutes just to be asked what our drink order would be. (the restaurant was at maybe 25% capacity inside, so no real reason for it). Everyone received their dinner after a long wait, except for one person. That person did not receive their dinner until everyone else had finished eating their dinner and had to ask for a to go carton. The waitress never greeted us, had to be asked to take our order, never checked in with us or apologize for the fact that one person did not get their food till leaving and never got to eat it, had to be asked to bring our check, never thanked us, and felt it necessary to inform us she was "sweating so much". Staff clearly needed training, someone to manage the front of the house, and should be required to take a customer service training as there was no customer service. The quality of food varied with half of our table being happy and the other half not. As we were a table of 9, entertaining out of state guests it was quite embarrassing. Can't wait to go back once COVID restrictions are a memory. I ate on the patio for the first time on January 29. First of all, thank you for serving outside rather than just doing take-out. The prices are great. The place isn't offering happy hour during COVID but we paid only $5.50 for a well drink and $5.50 for a 16-ounce draft. My wife ordered the club sandwich and I ordered the French Dip. The French Dip is one of the best I've ever had. The patio has heat lamps. The servers wear masks. We'll be back! read more

We were ignored by multiple staff members after we were seated. Kept getting passed with no communication or eye contact. When I told a staff member on our way out that "We've been ignored since we got here and are now leaving." All we got was "oh, ok." It was not busy. People that were seated after us were being served before us. If there's a shift change, an unexpected wait, or some confusion COMMUNICATION IS CLUTCH. Talk to your patrons and figure out the order of operation regarding taking orders. Apologize when someone brings up poor service experience. Not hard. read more

My husband and I visited this restaurant for dinner Feb 19th. Everything was delicious! The service was great, and the restaurant was clean. I highly recommend the meatloaf. The portion size was plenty and the garlic mashed potatoes and snap peas were a great accompaniment to the meatloaf. When we visit Bend again, we'll make sure to stop by for another meal. read more

Worst experience in a restaurant ever! We had several issues with our food and the manager treated us like dirt! When you order flat iron steak and get sirloin and the server confirms it's flat iron steak even though you know it's not and the manager finally tells you it's because they received sirloin instead of flat iron steak from their supplier and then gets mean and insulting about the fact that you don't think you should have to pay for the dish you didn't order, even though you did ask about it before eating it, and he eventually tells you not to come back because they won't be able to make you happy, after you had already decided to not come back because of all of the issues, you know you have to write a review and tell all your friends that this place was a terrible disappointment. Way too many good places to go to have to be treated like someone trying to get out of paying the bill when all you wanted was decent food and fair treatment which you would be happy to pay for and tip generously....epic fail! read more

I have no idea why we come back to this place? It is always an uneasy or maybe awkward experience. The owner is odd and never makes us really feel welcome. Seating is more difficult than it should be. Food is ok. Service is mediocre at best. Today it was bordering of rude and unfriendly. I will say the menu is decent. We are bar/lounge people and this bar has potential but such limited seating it is hard to get a seat. The dining room is wide open to the bar so it is loud. It actually creates un unusual atmosphere. I just don't get this place. Pretty sure it's our last visit. read more

I have resisted coming to this restaurant for quite a while. The reason being is the reviews were bad from several years ago. But lately I've noticed more and more people on the lovely deck. My daughter and I went there for lunch today and it was absolutely delicious. The service was very attentive. In the remodeling job they've done on the inside is fabulous. Came back to town for a Christmas visit and decided to give this place another shot. The lady that served us was very pleasant. The food came out very fast and warm. The chicken wings were warm and crunchy. The EGB Clubhouse sandwich was nice and fresh, the bread was a toasted crunchy sourdough, and the turkey was fresliced, moist, and seasoned very well. The side salad was massive and very fresh as well. It was served with ranch dressing that seemed to be house made ( not sure) it was creamy and delicious. I tend to drink constantly while enjoying a meal and I was pleasantly surprised when the waitress offered to leave the pitcher of iced tea on the table rather than having me wait for refills. My husband and I come here atleast three times a week. The food is amazing. The staff wonderful! We've eaten all around the country and I can honestly say that their halibut is the best I've ever had. Would like to be able to give more than 2 stars, but sadly I cannot. The 2 stars are only because of the warm greeting and bright smile of the hostess. Waited 40 minutes for a French dip, Cheese burger, and kids chicken strips. Saturday at 6:30 I get it, busy, I was prepared to wait. What I wasn't prepared for was incorrect order , over cooked food and just overall loudness. Too much wrong to make the experience worth it. French dip was a soggy, mushy mess. eh...just okay. We have been here several times to give an overall rating. The service is slow no matter when you go and whether you eat in the dining room or the bar area. I love their french fries! And they are most always good...one time they weren't cooked long enough so they sogged up. I WON"T be going back here for a meal though. We went for lunch, Didn't want a burger, which are pretty good here, so we decided to order an entree and split it. This restaurant nickels and dimes you to *** They charged us $6.00 to split an entree! I even asked before we ordered and she said, oh, it would be about $3-4. There are substitution fees and most recently they have added a $3.5% charge to all customers using their credit/debit card to pay. I mean WHO carries cash anymore?
