Well I must look like an easy mark because of the gray hair. Gen Z "know it alls" often trespass in my life. I brought my Animal V-8 in here for a battery...very simple. The tech started to take it apart in the show room (he had an audiance), and put down each componet stating, "need replaced"!......needs repalced"! "needs replaced"!......until one small piece he held up and said "that is all your left with". I asked him what the problem might be and he said moisture got in the system from a washed filter that was not quite dry. It was abit damp. Then he offered to recycle the entire unit, but before he started the used car pitch, for a new unit, I told him "why don't I let it dry a bit more"? One hour in the AZ sun it is runs like brand new!! I WAS a 20 year customer at this store. Dyson has offered the worst customer service I've ever experienced. Be careful purchasing Dyson products from Amazon. It is likely one of many sellers will void your factory warranty on a Dyson product. Dyson, The transaction was through Amazon on November 30, 2022. The Dyson product malfunctioned and became inoperable as of August 26th, 2023 The issue I'm having is the Dyson hair purifier we purchased was denied a warranty claim because we ordered it through Amazon and in the small print the seller of the air purifier on Amazon is not an approved reseller. While being well within the 2-year warranty timeline. Dyson is refusing to take care of a faulty product they created. My main issue with this is customers who order items through Amazon as gifts to friends and family automatically assume it's fine since it's Amazon. Dyson uses this as a way to refuse to fix faulty products that they have created. When the average cost of a Dyson product is easily $500, you would expect a company of this nature to take care of its customers by making sure its premium products remain operational. This entire process of dealing with Dyson has been horrific. Email support issued my claim wrong. I went to chat support. They also handled the initial claim wrong, I Spent an hour on the phone talking with a supervisor to have them get everything fixed, and Then I received an email from the Executive Resolution Team saying they would not fix the air purifier product that they created after I've shipped it to Dyson for repair. We own a couple Dyson products, and this was the first time I've ever had to bring one of them in for service. My poor little V7 cordless vacuum was only running for a few seconds before it would completely die after a FULL charge. I called Dyson customer service and they told me that it sounded like my battery wasn't working anymore. No problem, they'd review my account for warranties and replacement and send me a new battery. Nope. They were out of stock. So they referred me to this local service center. It was a 35 minute drive away from my house, so I called them and asked if I needed to bring anything else in other than the vacuum. Nope, just bring in the vacuum and they'll service it curbside. Awesome. Pulled into the parking lot and gave them a jingle that I was there. A gentleman came out and handed me a form to fill out with basic info. And then asked about the issues I was having. Explained my battery problem and he said no problem he'd check it out and replace it. Took less than 10 minutes and he was out with a new battery replaced in my unit. SUPER quick service. Totally thought I'd be sitting there for a while, so I hopped on Tik Tok to waste time because that's what everyone does nowadays. I think I watched 5 videos and he was already done. Living in Tempe, AZ, a visit to the Dyson Service Center at 3230 East Union Hills Drive, Phoenix, Arizona 85050, is not just a short jaunt in the car! Fortunately, my daughter was visiting from out-of-state and drove the freeways to the Dyson Service Center. I had read excellent reviews on yelp- especially how vacuums were fixed on the spot, and hoped mine would be to avoid another trip over. Going into the service center- a beautiful, modestly designed room featuring Dyson products- one person was waiting, and very quickly received her fixed cordless vacuum. The roller bar in my cordless V7 vacuum had stopped rolling/turning that also caused the starter trigger to pulsate rather than run steady. While I checked in on the computer, the technician took my vacuum to the back. Within less than 10 minutes the technician came out with my working Dyson! Even though I had taken the roller brush out and cleaned it, I was not able to thoroughly clean in that area, so this was done today. Problem solved. And, there was NO CHARGE. I was told the bristles on the roller brush were worn down, but still workable, so decided to wait to replace the brush itself. While it is a drive for those who live in the East Valley, it is worth it to find such awesome customer service for just as awesome of a product! I bought a brand new fan air purifier which didn't work from the start. Contacted Dyson and they advised me to take it to the service center. I walked in with no appointment and was shocked to see customers walking in, techs taking their Dyson equipment and returning in less than 15 minutes on average. FIXED! My tech came out with my fan, told me it was fixed, explained that she blew debris out of a sensor, tested it and it was done. In a day and age where businesses don't seem to care about customers, this was stunning. Customer service was great. Evaluation and follow up were quick and advice was excellent. We were beyond the warranty period and the repairs were adding up to almost as much as a new vacuum. Was greeted promptly and kindly by Brit, who has good communication and kept me updated while I waited in the showroom. He came out with the right parts and more at a very reasonable price. Several tech's came out to discuss issues with customers machines while I was waiting. I listened closely and was impressed with the honesty and explanations for their issues.
