My dad needed to get an eye test to renew his license, and Dyker Heights Pharmacy was listed on the DMV website. Lot of meter parking outside, and parking on the side streets isn't too bad. The pharmacy is pretty big, and they're taking social distancing and other COVID precautions pretty well. Eye test was quick, people working at the actual pharmacy counter were real nice folks. The place itself also sells a bunch of houseware stuff as well, which is great because the main hardware store on 13th Ave has sadly closed.

Our go-to neighborhood pharmacy. My family began coming here back when this was "Rizzo" Pharmacy, before they made the name change to Dyker Heights Pharmacy. Their pharmacists are always very helpful and very patient when answering questions about medications. They offer free delivery. Very convenient. read more

For the last several decades - Dyker Heights Pharmacy has been an absolute rare gem in our community. While I normaly don't have anything against supersized franchise drug stores - Dyker Heights Pharmacy defnitely takes you back to a bit of a different era - a very comfortable, friendly fixture in the neighborhood. I simply cannot say enough great things about the pharmacists who have done so many wonderful things for me - John, Rich, Eric - especially during the past two years I've been suffering from many pretty complex illnesses - not only are they doing exemplary work behind their counter but these gentlemen deeply care and go way beyond the norm to communicate with my doctors, find ways of getting much needed prior authorizations and even setting up door to door deliveries in a very timely fashion. I will always be grateful for them and their very appreciated family oriented approach. And definitely not to be left out are the very wonderful Joy and Julio who answer the phones and always make getting hold of what is often urgently necessary in the most pleasant way possible. This is a terrificly run business and I'm happy to have them as a fixture in my life. Thanks to ALL of you who work there! read more

I prefer going to a family pharmacy over Walgreens. They know me & my whole family. They know what medications we usually get prescription's for. The pharmacists go out of their way to help you anyway they can. read more

The pharmacists at Dyker are amazing... Richie and John always take the time to answer Questions and are always so helpful.. Eugene will order anything you need and deliver it to you quickly and Joy is a sweetheart.. Its so nice to deal with a pharmacy that has a family feel to it rather than a cold large pharmacy.. When you need advice about your meds, or your Dr's office makes a mistake on the name of the drug prescribed and the pharmacist picks it up, or you're just in a hurry or need your Rx delivered instead of picking it up, or you just want go to a drugstore where they let you know they appreciate your business, you should get to know this place. The chain stores don't do any of these things very well. Dyker Heights Pharmacy does. read more

a neighborhood mom and pop pharmacy that is a rare thing these days with big box pharmacys.My family fills all our RX'S here and the staff is VERY helpful.They deliver and have seasonal sales and even have a section with some household items like cleaners etc if your in a pinch and need something quick. if there is an item he doesnt have he will try to order it for you. This pharmacys staff is THE BEST. read more

great pharmacy , went their and they had the best customer service ive ever seen , im a cash paying customer on prescriptions and they gave me half the price than any other pharmacy offered , saved me $60.00 !!! i think the pharmacist name was Eric ??? nice guy but he was getting a little to close to me and kept touching my shoulder and face, could have been gay but other than that the service was great . read more

I cannot believe that DYKER HEIGHTS PHARMACY had the gall to short me 20 pills & charge me $299.95 for my prescription. They knew I lived in Staten Island & obviously would not count my prescription on their filthy countertop to make sure, but I will be reporting DYKER HEIGHTS PHARMACY to the DEA, Better Business Bureau & possibly the FDA if they handle unfortunate events. I have A torn rotator cuff & a completely torn ACL & partially torn MCL. They accused me of forging my name on my prescription, when it was one of their employees who did so on 2/4/12 and told me my prescription would not be in until 2/6/12. Thankfully this employee was in the pharmacy & remembered me & told them she did it. Then there was a problem with my doctor's office. Apparantly, the receptionist told the pharmacist that my doctor has not seen me since October (I see him every month) but low & behold the pharmacist was wrong about that as well. You may have stolen & charged me for 20 pills that you DID NOT give me - but KARMA'S A BITCH. I will be there after I assume I will get no satisfaction over the phone tomorrow morning but this is not the last you have heard from me. read more

NYC is full of awful chain pharmacies, and this isn't the WORST, but it's pretty bad. While I think the staff here sometimes could be more attentive, it's not their fault there's maybe 2 employees manning the whole store. I did go here a lot, and what pissed me off the most were the times that the line was at least 6 people deep, one poor guy is at the register doing his best, and the manager is just casually doing inventory 2 aisles over. I've also seen her reprimand employees in similar impossible situations instead of stepping up and manning another register herself. This is a bad pharmacy and that's mostly because of corporate bs, but that doesn't mean they should be THIS bad, and the manager should be a better leader instead of dumping on the employees who are trying their best for the most part.

I'm new to the area and like to use a local pharmacy. I went to the back counter to ask for an over-the-counter product and the man who claims to be the manager was no help at all. He came out from behind the counter to look for the item and was dressed as a total slob. His shirt was stained and very tight and i saw a bit of his stomach hanging out. He didn't have the item and said that he heard the item isn't made anymore. Shouldn't you know if an item isn't available. I will give them another chance though. Dyker Pharmacy is by far the BEST Mom & Pop Pharmacy in the Dyker Heights area. The staff is very nice always willing to give you the best advice.
