This is by far the best compounding pharmacy in NYC. They are so knowledgeable and responsive. I go there for all my prescriptions and wouldn't dare go anywhere else!!! read more

VLS is the provider for Mindbloom treatments. I am scheduled to have sessions on a weekly basis but this pharmacy takes two weeks to fulfill a prescription. For Pete's sake my pharmacy back when I was a kid could fill prescriptions same day when you brought a piece of paper in. Now they have computers and same day shipping services and it takes them two weeks. Clearly they don't care about the patient. read more

I've been using this pharmacy for a few months now and have been treated like crap on every single phone call. The pharmacist himself is extremely rude and yells at customers on the phone, has no problem interrupting them and going off on other tangents that have nothing to do with what the original question was. He will not listen and treats women like absolute garbage. I.e. I was told by the gal on the phone that they would be able to send part of the medication one day, but I had to wait 2 days for the other part of the prescription to be sent out. So, I call the pharmacy trying to figure out when the other part of the prescription will be sent out and the pharmacist said that the prescription was canceled because I got the first part of the medication and they can't split up the prescription. When I explained that that's not what his assistant said, he said he would talk to her. Then, once again, my doctor sent out a new prescription so they could finish filling it and the pharmacist flat out called me a liar and yelled at me on the phone telling me that that's not what his assistant said. So, his assistant lied to him and he is covering for her. This pharmacy has been nothing but rude and disrespectful for months now. I don't understand how they stay in business with the way they treat their customers. I try to stay in constant contact with them (because they won't stay in contact with me whatsoever) because I am an out of state patient and their assistant does not stay in contact with me like her pharmacist insists that she does. This pharmacy really isn't worth your time unless you like being treated like absolute crap and called a liar. Eta: After doing further research through a local pharmacy, this pharmacy is not actually licensed to be shipping controlled narcotics to my state so I have begun the process of reporting them to the proper authorities to stop these illegal actions. read more

Big racist vibes from this pharmacy. After calling this afternoon to ensure they had everything needed to make my dog's medication...I got there and after waiting 20 minutes, I was told they didn't have it. You're a compounding pharmacy, right? Because I gave you ALL of the info on the phone & we discussed the medication down to the COLOR. After I let them know I had called and was assured they could make the medication, they decided they were refusing to fill my prescription because they couldn't get in touch with my vet. At 5pm. I have an official, NY state prescription for compounded hydrocodone in my dog's name. The entire point of these prescriptions is that you have to have a special license to write them. This guy made excuses & didn't care because he didn't care about me as a human being. He did his best to let me know it. Point taken, jerk. read more

Always a long wait. Always attitude from the people taking the prescription. If I call ahead it's never ready when I get there. If I just go there they say I should've called...terrible attitude from the staff i haven't gone once and had it be a smooth process. Def understand comments of racist vibes, even though it's owned by poc they treat Spanish customers like they are scum and give them attitude from the start even though half the time the people taking the orders don't seem to know their head from their tail. Perks of moving is never having to go here again. Note to staff: people are coming here because they are already having an illness or something going on please treat your customers with kindness your business depends on acting like human beings read more

This is the best pharmacy I have ever worked with. I never have to wonder about the origin or purity of the drugs. I like them so much that my doctor calls in my prescription and I pay to have it shipped from there even though i live across the country. VLS has the best customer service of any compounding pharmacy I've worked with. They are helpful in determining best approaches, they are accommodating when needing something specific, and the shipments have always been quick and packaged/delivered perfect. Special shout out to Samantha who has put up with me in tremendous ways, and has helped me navigate hurdles anytime I needed the support! read more

All the employees at this pharmacy go above and beyond to make you wait and being rude. Racist staff.

I have loved Gopesh, from when i was a young girl, who lived in Sunset Park all my life. I trust him so much. He takes care of my mom and dad and everyone in this community knows who Gopesh is. He knows how to talk to people even when they are at their worst. I know, i have seen it. He is so devoted to his community, he is like family. Just one thing, I need to know how he stays looking so young. :) May God continue to bless you! D. Alicea read more

I'm not sure if all of these spectacular ratings are from the employees or paid customers but I am not happy with this pharmacy at all. First of all, they never give you an update when they say they would. Second, every time I call just to ask one simple question, I'm transferred to 4 different representatives. It's very upsetting. I would never use this pharmacy again...!!! read more

best Pharmacy. great staff! They make sure you get everything you need without a long wait time.

I love this pharmacy. Everyone calls you by your name, polite, courteous and always help you the best they can. Great family pharmacy. Glad you are in my neighborhood. read more

I've been coming here for a few years now & their service, knowledge & customer approach has always been exceptional. I'm not sure if management changed or hiring/training practices changed, but it has lost it's consistency and seems more like an overwhelmed new business now. The pharmacist is amazing. Despite being bombarded by requests that really a pharmacy tech or cashier should be capable of handling, he is always professional and courteous. It's sad to see a good neighborhood small business deteriorate, I hope they fix their issues soon. read more

This is the only pharmacy I use living here in Sunset Park. Gopesh is, in my opinion, one of the most knowledgable pharmacist I have ever encountered. He is very neighborly and helps to accommodate in whatever way he can. There is a reason why do many residents here go to this pharmacy. read more

I love this place! My medication was on backorder so the pharmacy compounded it for me!! And instead of a tablet they made it a delicious strawberry flavor liquid. They were fast, worked with my insurance and counseled me on a supplement to take too. Would never go anywhere else! read more

VLS pharmacist listens and instantly responded for the quality of service.

I really appreciated the the pharmacist taking the time to explain how and why my medication was reimbursed by my insurance. And solutions to bringing down the price. After shelling out money to Duane Reade thinking it was the only option, it was refreshing. read more

Best family owned pharmacy I have ever experienced. Very friendly staff and owners. They will always work to find the most cost effective product for you. They never charge me if the prescription is less than a dollar. They appreciate their customers. Very well organized staff (minus the one girl who told me to call back in 20 minutes when i called to see if my prescription was ready). This is how businesses should be run. I've been going to VLS for five years. Every time I go it honestly restores my faith in humanity. Gopesh remembers me, makes sure that I get what I need when I need it, and clearly explains weird and complicated insurance stuff that would otherwise be baffling. This is remarkable enough, but even more remarkable is that he does the same for everyone who walks in the door. The level of compassion and care is what every pharmacy ought to have, but no others do. When you're sick or in need of the right medicine it's so good to have someone you can trust who's there for you. Thank you, Gopesh and the rest of the VLS team! read more
