VLS is the provider for Mindbloom treatments. I am scheduled to have sessions on a weekly basis but this pharmacy takes two weeks to fulfill a prescription. For Pete's sake my pharmacy back when I was a kid could fill prescriptions same day when you brought a piece of paper in. I've been using this pharmacy for a few months now and have been treated like crap on every single phone call. The pharmacist himself is extremely rude and yells at customers on the phone, has no problem interrupting them and going off on other tangents that have nothing to do with what the original question was. He will not listen and treats women like absolute garbage. I.e. I was told by the gal on the phone that they would be able to send part of the medication one day, but I had to wait 2 days for the other part of the prescription to be sent out. So, I call the pharmacy trying to figure out when the other part of the prescription will be sent out and the pharmacist said that the prescription was canceled because I got the first part of the medication and they can't split up the prescription. When I explained that that's not what his assistant said, he said he would talk to her. Then, once again, my doctor sent out a new prescription so they could finish filling it and the pharmacist flat out called me a liar and yelled at me on the phone telling me that that's not what his assistant said. So, his assistant lied to him and he is covering for her. This pharmacy has been nothing but rude and disrespectful for months now. I don't understand how they stay in business with the way they treat their customers. I try to stay in constant contact with them (because they won't stay in contact with me whatsoever) because I am an out of state patient and their assistant does not stay in contact with me like her pharmacist insists that she does. This pharmacy really isn't worth your time unless you like being treated like absolute crap and called a liar. Eta: After doing further research through a local pharmacy, this pharmacy is not actually licensed to be shipping controlled narcotics to my state so I have begun the process of reporting them to the proper authorities to stop these illegal actions. read more

Big racist vibes from this pharmacy. After calling this afternoon to ensure they had everything needed to make my dog's medication...I got there and after waiting 20 minutes, I was told they didn't have it. You're a compounding pharmacy, right? Because I gave you ALL of the info on the phone & we discussed the medication down to the COLOR. After I let them know I had called and was assured they could make the medication, they decided they were refusing to fill my prescription because they couldn't get in touch with my vet. At 5pm. I have an official, NY state prescription for compounded hydrocodone in my dog's name. The entire point of these prescriptions is that you have to have a special license to write them. I had severe astigmatism and my ophthalmologist recommended to have cornel scrapping After the procedure I developed staph infection in my eye and I was so lucky to know VLS pharmacy I used vancomycin and tobramycin eye drops every 2 hours and they were so effective in controlling infection However, after treating infection I developed scar in my cornea my vision decreased in right eye Before having the scar my right eye glasses sphere was +1.75 and after the scar was +3.5 In addition to that I had black spot on the side of my vision I was luck to read and do some search to find out losartan 0.8 mg/ml eye drops can help I started using eye drops from VLS pharmacy I started July, 8, 2024 and today August 6, 2024 my glasses shere +1.00 My vision improved significantly and I had no side effects I will always be grateful to VLS pharmacy and staff for being very professional, friendly and very helpful. Always a long wait. Always attitude from the people taking the prescription. If I call ahead it's never ready when I get there. If I just go there they say I should've called...terrible attitude from the staff i haven't gone once and had it be a smooth process. Def understand comments of racist vibes, even though it's owned by poc they treat Spanish customers like they are scum and give them attitude from the start even though half the time the people taking the orders don't seem to know their head from their tail. This is the best pharmacy I have ever worked with. I never have to wonder about the origin or purity of the drugs. I like them so much that my doctor calls in my prescription and I pay to have it shipped from there even though i live across the country. They are the best to work with and accept many insurance plans. If you lives in Brooklyn you are fortunate to be able to do business there. read more

They are helpful in determining best approaches, they are accommodating when needing something specific, and the shipments have always been quick and packaged/delivered perfect. I have loved Gopesh, from when i was a young girl, who lived in Sunset Park all my life. I trust him so much. He takes care of my mom and dad and everyone in this community knows who Gopesh is. First of all, they never give you an update when they say they would. Second, every time I call just to ask one simple question, I'm transferred to 4 different representatives. It's very upsetting. I've been coming here for a few years now & their service, knowledge & customer approach has always been exceptional. I'm not sure if management changed or hiring/training practices changed, but it has lost it's consistency and seems more like an overwhelmed new business now. The pharmacist is amazing. Despite being bombarded by requests that really a pharmacy tech or cashier should be capable of handling, he is always professional and courteous. It's sad to see a good neighborhood small business deteriorate, I hope they fix their issues soon. read more

I've been going to VLS for five years. Every time I go it honestly restores my faith in humanity. Gopesh remembers me, makes sure that I get what I need when I need it, and clearly explains weird and complicated insurance stuff that would otherwise be baffling. I have used vls pharmacy since my son was born and for myself. I loved this pharmacy but i will never do business in the pharmacy every again. Monday morning went to pharmacy to get my sons medication mind you hes at home in pain! The girl behind the counter come to find out her name is Wally totally ingnored and disrespected me. I asked her if i can pick up my sons medication and she walked away and told me its not her problem i was in complete shkck than i was told i better calm down when all i asked was how long until i get his medication thats all i was there for. Me and my family have been customers of VLS for the last 20 years + it feels more like family. Coming from the Managed care medical industry this pharmacy deserves the award of the year continuously. They are compassionate and patient and treat everyone individually.
