The customer service is always great at any Dutch Bro's I go to, besides this time. The atmosphere is always great as well. One thing that is frustrating is the inconsistency of flavors for their drinks. I ordered my usual blended Picture Perfect with light caramel and an extra dub shot and it's usually this beautiful mocha color. But this time it tasted heavily of milk and whipped cream, barely any coffee flavor at all. It wasn't sweet. It was not blended all the way and tasted very chunky thick of ice. Every single time I order this drink with an extra dub shot, it seems to confuse the baristas. Which I don't understand what's so confusing about adding another dub shot? The baristas this time seemed to be very distracted with each other. On their phones, talking a lot. They weren't that friendly compared to other times, and for how busy they were I was surprised how they didn't seem to be hustling to get orders out. Due to waiting a while for them to acknowledge we were back at the pick up window, we decided to just leave and not say anything but it's disappointing when you are craving a nice drink and a certain flavor and it's inconsistent. I did not add any sweeteners as I was hoping that the coffee would be naturally not bitter tasting. Unfortunately, this was not the case. It is rare that I find, a coffee shop that can execute a perfect Americano or espresso. Sadly, this was also not one of the successful ones. Grand opening today, 1/21. Drive thru was packed. However, they had employees outside helping move the lines along. 2 lines that merge into 1. Moved pretty quick. Customer service was excellent. They were handing out little pocket menus which is convenient. Appears they also have a walk up option. I ordered the hot chai today. It was pretty decent. Not overly sweet but it was missing that "spice" element to it. However the great thing here is you can customize your drinks so I'll do that next time! Excited to try other things on the menu. I always get the same 2 things, a large for myself and a small for my wife, and I paid $5+ more here than any other location we've visited before. In which the money isn't the issue, rather yet the basic principle of things. Tips are to given by us customers, not for the employees to be including on the tab for the themselves. After I asked for the receipt, the drink they finished was very poorly made and when handed to us, the lid wasn't on so as soon as the person let go, it spilled all over my truck. No apologies were given. And the employee walked off and didn't come back to the window even after I waited 5mins or so. As I stood and waited on my Golden Eagle (Vanilla & Caramel Breve with Caramel Drizzle and an extra shot of espresso) I realized that they got the logistics figured out even more so than the chicken fast food place closed on Sundays. Before my cup of Joe was ready those two lines were completely gone. Wow! As for taste versus price, I paid over $8.00. Ouch! For this reason I feel 3 stars is worthy.. The irony of it all was after grabbing her name (Allie) it turns out she was the owner of this awesome spot! The coffee was excellent but 100/10 experience because of Allie being so kind and patient with me in figuring out my order.
