Have I gotten the wrong drink before? Yes, but it was a quick fix with no problems. One time I even found a new drink I like because of it! Has the wait been longer than I anticipated before? Yes, but it's because the line is super long or people are ordering a lot of drinks--things that are out of the employees hands. It's useless to get upset at things that you or they cannot control! It's hit or miss here. I love Dutch Bros coffee, and this location is conveniently close to me, but some of the workers there suck, and a couple of times they've made my order wrong. They can be abrupt, don't follow instructions well, and then get defensive when the order is obviously wrong and has to be remade. Some people have allergies, and accuracy matters! Own your mistakes like the adult you are. It's your job to listen, follow directions, and not make the situation worse with a nasty attitude. I've been to many Dutch Bros locations over the years, and the staff are usually cool, friendly, and actually live up to the brand. As far as I know, Dutch Bros is known for being awesome, so it's disappointing to deal with people here who are clearly performing below average. I used to like this location and tipped every visit. I recommend they close the second lane if they aren't ever going to honor the order that people come in. I waited on two people I was ahead of having their order taken. Someone even pointed me out that I had been waiting and the barista laughed it off and took his order anyways. I have officially decided that I will no longer visit this Dutch Bros. They have made significant changes to how they prepare their Breezes, resulting in drinks that are no longer smooth. In my last four or five visits, I encountered icy drinks instead of the blended coffee beverages I expected. When I brought this up during a recent visit, I was told to ask for my drink to be hand-blended. Even after doing this, the drinks still resemble icees rather than the quality I used to enjoy. On my most recent visit, I documented the issue with pictures. When I returned the drink to show the baristas the noticeable separation and problems, one barista claimed she didn't see any difference. This response is unacceptable. I couldn't even drink my beverage because it was just a cup of ice. How can they look at the side-by-side photos I took and insist that these drinks are the same? It's clear they are not, especially given that they were supposed to be hand-blended. I am extremely disappointed with the quality of what is labeled as "Breezes," and the staff's inability to acknowledge the subpar nature of the product is quite troubling. I will not return to this Dutch Bros, and I will reconsider my loyalty to any other locations. We have spent a considerable amount of money here after switching from a different coffee franchise, but now I have serious doubts about the quality of what I'm receiving. Also, since there is zero accountability or ownership from the owner, I've already sent a letter to the company since I can not imagine any changes will be made just because of a review. Especially being read by baristas who can look at the two drinks and can't see any differences. The kid who took our order may have been new. And was nice. We gave specific instructions since we can only have Sugar free. Ordered 2 lattes and 3 hot milks with flavor. It was a nightmare. They had to make the drinks over 3x. Girl who seemed to be a supervisor possibly at 6:00pm tonight was very unpleasant. No apologies no offer for anything. Just kept messing up. Honestly she seemed so mad at us vs. writing the order on a cup! They couldn't keep the drinks straight. In the end we definitely got full sugar lattes with all the toppings even though we said none. I just had the most unpleasant experience here. This was my first time going to this location, and I have to say the two line drive through was very confusing. After being told by the young male employee taking orders to go into the right lane where there were no cars, we were confused on where to stop and merged with the second line. Another employee with short red hair wearing a bucket hat came out and began accusing us of intentionally cutting the other cars in line., which was not our intention at all. We offered to pull off to the side so that the other customers would be served first, which she demanded we do. No please, no thank you. No sense of customer service. After a few minutes she angrily came up to our car shoved the lattes into our car, and again accused us of cutting the line. When we tried to explain what had happened, she cut us off and would not let us speak. I have never experienced worst customer service, I can not believe she would speak to any customer like this. I was so offended that I indicated I would not be returning and she replied with "good, don't". We are so lucky to have a variety of welcoming coffee shops in Grass Valley with kind employees, and for that I would avoid this place at all costs. Today 3/31/2025 I went at 6:00 pm to the walk up order window and was met with a short haired girl who seemed to be in a rush and not very friendly. She was obviously distracted with whatever she had going on because she got my order completely wrong and when I asked her why it was missing something she just said "thats how it is made and you have to request" but she got the order wrong and instead of fixing it she said that to me and that was that. I am a regular to this stand and I have to say it's a great stop in the morning, afternoon or evening. They are busy and lines reflect that. they work hard to get the lines taken care of and they never force anyone to tip. This is an option. poor reviews have said they ask for a tip, they do not, they show you the board and you are able to choose if you'd like to tip or not. I have been a lover of Dutch bros for so many years. I used to love their stamp program and getting new stickers on the 1st of the month. I have really though long and hard about writing this review. The employees are never outgoing and fun or have conversations with me like they always did in Auburn. They consistently give me blue strays if I decide not to tip. Im always very polite and treat the employees with the utmost respect, but I like to tip cash, and sometimes I don't have it on me. With an allergy to most fake sugars and dieting I decided after 6 months of not going to Dutch Bros, I needed to have a yummy coffee today. Pulling into our towns drive thru, the line was several cars deep and there were a couple ppl out taking orders. Not knowing what they have that i can drink and telling her of my allergy, she brought out the bottle of sugar free flavoring to make sure there was nothing to cause a negative allergy reaction. The suggestion that she surprise me with a yummy drink that would fit my needs was terrific. She made me a completely delicious iced coffee that reminded me of what I have been missing in my daily routine.
