Best coffee I've had so far. I love this places to pieces! This place is a drive thru with a walk in window (though I am tempted to go through the drive thru with my bike... which probably isn't allowed though). The caramelizer is my to-go drink unless I have the feels for something else. Despite being a sweet drink, the coffee flavor is still there and strong. The broistas there are always super duper friendly and service is usually really fast. This place is perfect whenever I have late night studying since it's opened 24 hours. Also, whenever there's a special, you'll always find me there. Keep your eyes on the dutch bros monthly calendar for yummy deals! There was one time that I had to wait for a while since there was a huge car line waiting. I was fine with it since it's important that traffic doesn't get blocked and I wasn't in a rush. The broista gave me my drink for free, which I wasn't expecting at all. That totally made my day! Dutch Bros. is definitely my favorite place for 'caffeine' in Davis. The staff are always friendly -- even in the awful AM hours. They make an effort to remember regulars and their drink orders (shoutout to Jasmine). For that level of customer service, they deserve some 'green' in their tip jar. I make sure to give a dollar every now and then since I usually pay with card. I've tried various menu-items with no complaints. My personal is the 'Annihilator' or the 'Double Chocolate Mocha' and 'White Mocha'. The 'ER-911' will keep you caffeinated and cracked-out when you have serious work to be done. I haven't had the blended drinks enough times to comment on them. They have a loyalty program, cheaper and taste better than Starbucks, and promotions throughout the quarter. Every time I visit NorCal, it is essential for me to stop at Dutch Bros. Something about their coffee is very addicting. The ER911 is a must try; It contains 6 shots of espresso so be prepared to get the jitters! The first time I tried it, I had a major caffeine high but I craved for more once I finished my cup. Another one of my favorites is the caramelizer, either iced or hot. Also!!! When you order a hot drink, make sure you read the lid! This place is open 24 hours and there's two drive thru windows as well as a walk up window. The drive thru lines are usually out to the street around midterms/finals but the wait time goes by quick. The staff here are always friendly and energetic, which is a huge bonus; Customer service at its finest! I checked out this place during my last 2 visits to Davis and both times I left wishing there was one of these back home! My bf and I ordered the iced kicker both times we came here and we didn't regret it one bit. It's arguably one of the best cups of coffee I've ever had. Strong coffee taste with just the right amount of sweetness (perf combo). Oh and did I mention it's drive-thru only? Okay guys. I'm willing to change my rating if someone can explain this to me: why is my blended Kicker such a weird texture?? So I ordered a non-dairy, no-sugar coconut milk Kicker. I had never been served by this particular worker before, so maybe this long-haired brunette was of new staff? I usually am served by a blonde with amazing colors of eyeliner, but this day she just handed me the coffee. Anyways, story goes that my server was very insistent that the staff make me the right order, which I very much appreciated (I mean, I wasn't intentionally being a pain in the butt about my order). I guess I trusted that they got the order correct, so I drove off not noticing the unusual amount of dark brown at the bottom of my cup.. After 2 minutes of getting my drink, I took a sip of my first blended Dutchbros coffee. All I got was liquid, no ice! I got back home just now to throw the contents into my magic bullet along with more ice, hoping to achieve the (I hate to say) Starbucks frappuccino texture. Unfortunately, due to my amateur barista skills, this did not make the drink any different. The frozen bits still melt immediately in your mouth, if not in the cup already. Their specialty drinks are not only good tasting, but also does the trick of keeping you up and alert. The store in South Davis can get busy at times and instead of waiting in line in your car, it may be faster to walk up in person to order your drink. I would also remind people that many drinks contain dairy products, so keeping the drink for more than 2 hours will not be good for your stomach. EVERYTHING IS AWESOME! Literally. Literally everything I've tried has been amazing. When unicorns get tired from being so magical and majestic I heard they have Dutch Bros and they're good to go. The first drink I tried was the kicker, and it definitely lives up to its name. Another favorite of mine is the white chocolate mocha (if you're a fan of the Starbucks version, it's 95% the same with 5% more magical goodness). You have the option of getting every drink hot, cold, or blended and all are delicious methods of consumption. Just when I think I've picked a favorite I try a different one and immediately have an epiphany that this new way is obviously best (kind of like trying to decide which hair style looks best on Beyoncé). I usually never order coffee drinks made with sugar, but since I have been trying to go to a Dutch Bros upon learning about them in Food Network Magazine last year, I figured I would take the spurge when on a recent road trip to Sac. I ordered the Cocomo with Coconut Milk and was not disappointed. Though coconut milk doesn't foam like dairy or soy milk, resulting in a thinner latte, I am very grateful that they offer this milk substitute in their beverages! I was pleasantly buzzed for the rest of our drive, and appreciated that my drink wasn't super sweet. The staff were nice and super quick, we were in and out within 3 minutes! I've been jealous of my Davis friends who have been raving about Dutch Bros and how they can get a caffeine fix at any time of the day or night. So of course this was the perfect excuse for a pit stop on our night time road trip to Tahoe. We rolled in at around 10:30PM and were enthusiastically greeted. I applaud them on their perkiness and friendliness; it definitely made the experience better. After a minute of indecisiveness and staring at the menu, we opted for a hot Caramelizer and Cocomo. (I was tempted to try the Annihilator, but most people have said that it's better cold, and I wanted a hot drink.) Honestly, both of the drinks tasted very similar to me -- sweet, creamy, with a small hint of coconut flavor in the Cocomo. It was a bit too sweet for my liking; I like my coffee to be stronger and less sweet, so the drinks were a bit of a disappointment. Maybe I'll order straight coffee from them next time. They do get extra stars for being open 24/7 and having a superb attitude while attending cranky and caffeine-deprived or drunk customers. The workers are always friendly and usually blasting some sort of hip hop music. It seems like a fun place to work. You can get your drink iced, blended, or hot. I have only tried the Annihilator, but it is GOOD! The flavor is very unique. Chocolate macadamia nut coffee- tell me that doesn't sound amazing.
